Secrets That You Do Not Know About Airbrush Tanning

May 30th, 2007

Secrets that you did not know about “airbrush tanning.”

You’ve got parties or weddings to attend to and you’re supposed
to be dressed in strapless gown; don’t you think you’ll look
pretty nice in a tan? Mostly, if you have a fair skin, you’ll
want to tan in just like those other tan freaks.

There are even many people who’ll go at any lengths just to get
the tan they’ve always wanted; walking and bathing at beaches,
spending a great deal of time on those tanning beds and spending
your money and time visiting those tanning spas and salons.
Indeed, you’ll definitely look good in a tan; most people do and
that’s why most people want them. But, there are risk that you
might get skin diseases like skin cancer from excessive exposure
from the sun or getting allergies from those chemical solutions
used in salons and spas.

No need to worry now as there are alternatives to these tanning
procedures; among such procedures is airbrush tanning.

Long ago, airbrushing is mainly used in paintings; many airbrush
artist then are dedicating their works in stimulating painting
medium or retracting paintings. It has been for years innovated
and developed, and now, airbrush arts are used not just for
paintings but for different valuable and enjoyable artworks like
t-shirt printing and designing, temporary tattooing as well as
tanning.

Most airbrush artist also extend their works from plain past
time activities into something productive; meaning a sort of
business. Basically, airbrushing works with the use of an
airbrush and paints.

Different types and kinds of airbrush are now available in the
market; these varies depending on what specific artworks you’ll
employ them for. Aside from airbrush, things such as masks,
friskets, compressors, moisture trap, hose, nozzles and needles
are available; these are basically support parts for airbrush.

Among the artworks that an airbrush artist could do with an
airbrush, airbrush tanning is the most sophisticated. It even
became fashion and sort of a passion for those who loves having
an even tan for specific occasions.

If you’re an airbrush artist and would like to try the art and
techniques of airbrush tanning, there are lots of manuals and
books available in the market; they offer informations and step
by step assistance on airbrush tanning. Some of these books and
manuals offers comprehensive matters about airbrush tanning
while there are some who offers light information that you can
easily digest in.

Aside from such books, there are also magazines that
specifically deals on airbrush tanning and its arts. You can
also browse the Internet about airbrush tanning informations and
techniques; the Net even offer online training courses on
airbrush tanning.

Basically, airbrush tanning is defined as the new and safe way
of achieving a golden look; this is a procedure that involves an
airbrush used to apply a clear liquid containing
dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to the body.

DHA is an ingredient used for cosmetic applications that reacys
with the amino acids in the outer layer of the skin. This works
by interacting with the dead surface cells found in the
outermost layer of the skin; this then produces color change.
Naturally, the dead cells on your skin will wear off and its
colors gradually fades giving you a tan that is almost like a
genuine sun tan. Tanning using an airbrush tan usually lasts 5
to 10 days depending on your skin type and the lifestyle you
have.

Many people who want to have a perfect tan nowadays opted for
airbrush tanning due to its unique sunless tanning system;
besides, having an airbrush tan will only make you wait for a
fraction of time than what it takes using the old method of
applying tanning lotions.

It also offers many benefits; you will not have to worry about
hands and feet tanning anymore, tanning application is quick and
easy, airbrush tanning takes only approximately 10 minutes,
tanning solution lasts 5 to 10 days minus the hassles of blotchy
and uneven tans, and lastly, airbrush tanning is so simple that
all you’ll need is an airbrush and a compressor and a special
tanning solution.

Airbrush tanning is indeed the thing for temporary tanning
without having too much sacrifices; you can even do your own
tanning at home.

But, just like any other cosmetic and aesthetic ways, you should
take proper care of your airbrush tan. Make sure that before you
airbrush those tanning solutions at your body, you have to take
a shower and exfoliate.

It would also be advisable that you put a small amount of basic
unscented lotion on your knees, elbows and other rough spots of
your body. Put a thick amount of lotion on your palms and nails.
In spraying the solution to your body, use the aerosol can while
spray the tanning solution on a makeup sponge and apply it to
you face like a foundation. Remember to keep the solution away
from your hairlines and eyebrows. After that, dab your body with
a dark towel lightly; don’t get dress for at least 10 minutes,
let the solution dry first. Don’t take a shower or swim for 8-10
hours after you have airbrush tanning; don’t rub your body if
you’re showering and you have an airbrush tan.

Proper care is the main key for keeping your airbrush tan even
and to make it lasts longer.

Five Secrets To Weight Loss

May 30th, 2007

Weight loss - such a “big” topic! Every month another book is
out by another expert on weight loss. Everyone wants to know the
secret to losing weight.

I certainly don’t have THE secret, but I do have some secrets,
and I want to share them with you in the hope you find them
helpful.

Weight used to be a major issue for me. Losing weight was never
out of my thoughts, and I can’t tell you how many different
diets, pills and programs I tried until I discovered some
“secrets” that have worked for me for many years now.

So here they are. I hope they work as well for you as they have
for me.

1. Change your focus from losing weight to achieving great
health.

I grew up as a sickly child and I was a sickly young adult. I
hated being sick and never having energy to do all the things I
wanted to do. So I decided to learn about what creates great
health.

First I read tons of books on nutrition and became convinced
that I needed to switch to organic foods. That was quite a
challenge in 1961! There was one coop health food store that I
had to follow around Los Angeles because it kept moving
locations. But it was worth it! My rule of thumb now is - if
they didn’t eat it 100 years ago, then I won’t eat it now. This
cuts out most packaged and processed foods and leaves natural,
organic food.

2. Learn to read your body signals regarding what feels good to
your body and what feels bad.

I no longer read about all the different diets because I’ve
learned to tune into MY body so that I know exactly what my body
needs for great health. Since my body needs different things
than your body, no single food plan will work for everyone. Your
job is to learn to tune into what gives you energy and what robs
you of energy, and what foods create calmness and which ones
create agitation. Once I learned what my body needs for great
health, I lost weight and kept it off easily.

3. Find a form of exercise that you enjoy and that you can do at
least 5 times a week.

I discovered that I love to walk in nature, so I take a fast
half-hour walk every day. However, this can be a problem if you
have physical limitations or chronic illness. Losing weight with
chronic illness or physical limitations is not impossible, but
it can be a much bigger challenge.

4. Learn to discern which part of you determines what and when
you eat, as well as how much you eat.

We all have a wounded part of ourselves that uses various
addictions as ways to deal with feelings of loneliness,
aloneness, helplessness, anxiety, depression, fear and anger.
Some people may use alcohol, drugs, spending, TV, gambling, sex,
and so on to avoid their pain, while other use food. While food
may work to pacify painful feelings for the moment, in the long
run all addictions backfire and create the very pain you are
trying to avoid. Yet our wounded self keeps choosing addictive
behavior as a way of managing pain. As long as the wounded part
of you is making your food choices, you may continue to have a
weight problem.

The part of us that is capable of managing painful feelings in
healthy ways and making healthy choices is the loving Adult. The
loving Adult is the part of us that has a deep desire to learn
about and take loving action in our own behalf. Developing a
loving Adult is a major aspect in creating health and wellbeing,
as well as in losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight.

5. Learn to connect with a spiritual source of wisdom, strength,
love and guidance.

The loving Adult is that part of us that is connected with a
spiritual source of guidance rather than being governed by the
mind. The mind, bring programmed from childhood, is the home of
the wounded self. You are being a loving Adult at those moments
when you choose to be guided by a source of wisdom beyond your
mind. This source will always guide you toward your highest
good. You just need to learn to open and listen.

It is very likely that you will not only lose weight, but will
also move into more physical and emotional health and wellbeing
if you embrace these “secrets” into your life. We offer you a
free course (see the resource box) to help you with developing
your loving Adult. Once you have developed a powerful loving
inner Adult, you will be able to lose weight. If you really want
to lose weight, there is a way!

Carpet Care Tips for Today’s Household

May 29th, 2007

A carpet is an important element in your home, or room area,
since it is the point of contact between you and the floor and
also because it plays a significant role in the visual layout of
the room. Taking care of the carpet is not a hard task, but
there are a few guidelines that should be followed for maximum
efficiency. A good trick, for example, is to take the pressure
and dirt of carpets by placing walk off mats at the entrance to
your home. If you clean the mats regularly, you might have to do
less work on the carpet itself, since the mats will stop most of
the dirt from going inside.

The padding that goes under your carpet should also receive your
attention. Stairs are in important area to look at, since carpet
life is usually reduced in such places. While carpet pads are
comfortable and soft to the touch, they also play a role of
cushioning the wear and tear of the bottom part of the carpet.
Another good idea is to keep your carpet out of direct sunlight,
if possible. If a carpet stays in the sun for a few years, some
discoloring might appear and the quality of the fabric will be
lower.

Moving furniture is quite common in every household, and the
floor and carpets usually get damaged in the process. Prevent
wheel or scratch marks by placing cardboard tiles on the carpet
when you are moving the furniture. Also make sure that your
other furniture, like chairs or coffee tables, has some padding
to protect the integrity of your carpet. Area rugs are another
element of interest: clean them once in a while, but also
remember to clean the area of carpet underneath them. This will
prevent dust from gathering there and it will help the carpet
retain original coloring and texture quality. Make sure that
both the carpet and the area rugs are completely dry before
placing them in their spots.

Stains are yet another enemy of carpets. There are stain
resistant treatments that you can apply to your carpet - however
they do not prevent stains from forming, as they are meant to
facilitate cleaning them. There is no carpet that doesn’t need
maintenance and cleaning - do not let a seller tell you
otherwise. It is a good idea to use specialized cleaners for
your carpets, as general household cleaners might have chemicals
that will work against your carpet. There are several items that
you might consider purchasing in order to keep your carpets
clean: nail polish remover, chewing gum removers, clear, non
bleached detergents, or vinegar and water mixtures.

No matter how powerful the cleaning agents are, your best bet is
to try and remove stains as soon as they are formed. Wet spills
are among the most common carpet problems. Use a white cloth or
paper to blot the area of the spill and allow as much of the
liquid to be absorbed by the cloth. When you are done, place a
layer or two of paper or cloth that will not transfer color and
cover them with a heavy object that will help them absorb any
excess moisture. Food stains should be scraped of right away,
before they get hard. However, any scraping should be light, as
you do not want your carpet to have fuzzy looking area all
around. After using detergent, also wash it out with water so
that no residues get stuck in the carpet material.

Mountain Biking For A Woman - The Difference Is In The Shorts!

May 29th, 2007

Mountain biking for a woman does present some gender-specific issues. These range from the practical pain-in-the-butt riding, to the broader concerns of women in the sport.

One of the first questions that is asked, is whether a women-specific bike is necessary in mountain biking for a woman.

The answer will depend entirely on your build, your preferences, and your riding style. Finding the right bike for you, involves test-riding as many types as possible. This will give you the best indication of your body’s fit on a non-gender specific bike, compared to a women-specific bike.

Looking at mountain biking for a woman, a regular bike is fine, but your hip structure may necessitate choosing a more suitable saddle. If you are narrow-hipped, you probably won’t have a problem. If this is not the case, you will be more comfortable on the wider structure of a women-specific saddle.

As for the bike itself, unless you are quite small, with a short upper body and short arms, there is a good chance that you won’t need a women-specific bike. In most cases a normal frame type with the straight bar, holds up better for mountain bikes, and is commonly used in mountain biking for a woman.

This type of frame encourages a position where the weight of your body is more evenly distributed between the two wheels. On the typical ‘women’s’ bike with a sloping top tube, the weight is placed back on the saddle. This position is not very effective in mountain biking for a woman.

Also keep in mind that, in mountain biking for a woman, an elastomer fork may be your most comfortable choice. Lighter riders perform better with these.

Find a specialized bike shop with a reputation for good mechanics and service, as well as knowledgeable salespeople. If you are a novice, you will need some guidance at first. It is important to make sure that they have experience in mountain biking for a woman.

Mountain biking for a woman involves more of a distinction when it comes to clothing. The main difference is in the shorts, so to speak!

You will need a good pair of cycling shorts, with a chamois, specifically made for use in mountain biking for a woman. You don’t want the chafing center seam present in men’s shorts - riding isn’t supposed to be torture! The secure-fitting Triple S Short by Shebeest is an example. The aerodynamic cut, with eliminated inseams and flatlock center seam, is a dream to wear. DriStyle fabric ensures superb wicking.

Padded baggie shorts are gaining in popularity. Look for names such as Sugoi and Pearl Izumo.

In warmer weather, your top can be a cap sleeve base in Silkweight Micro Polyester with Spandex, by Shebeest. This offers the lightness you need in mountain biking for a woman. In cold weather, you can add the Full Zip Velocity Jersey in DriStyle. The zippered pockets come in handy, and the full zip front gives a variety of cooling options.

Fox Racing protective gear has a great range aimed at mountain biking for a woman. Their elbow/arm pads and knee/shin guards in size small seem to fit most small women well.

Mountain biking for a woman, is no longer limited to the sidelines. Many strong-voiced advocates are emerging to promote the sport among women. Finding ways of making entry-level racing more open to women, are often on the agenda at conferences.

Bike shops, clinics, and clubs also play an important role in opening up the sport. Bike shops are no longer seen as intimidating and over-technical. They are constantly trying to come up with ways to make the store inviting enough to support mountain biking for woman.

Many articles and books have been written about mountain biking for a woman. These offer how-to advice, bike buying tips, basic riding know-how, and trail advice. One of these is ‘Mountain Biking For Women’ by Robin Stuart and Cathy Jensen. It is clear from their writing that they are experienced riders.

Watching the ‘Wildflower Mountain Biking for Women’ video, is a great way to start mountain biking for a woman. It features topics such as bike selection, bike maintenance, finding riding companions, practice drills, and more.

It will be difficult to find a more entertaining, mind-and-body building sport than mountain biking for a woman.

Divorce - Contested Or Uncontested

May 29th, 2007

Most of the disagreements concern the Children, Visitation and how to divide the assets of the marriage along with Child Support, Alimony, How to deal with Family Debts, and who will pay for the Education of the Children and Possible College expenses, Insurance and Tax Problems

After a divorce case is filed, you are given a number and depending on how many people filed before you, will determine how long it will take to come to trial. Generally unless you know someone the cases are determined in the order of your number. When your number comes up you are called, either by phone or mail. Depending on where you live it can be on the spot.

Divorces are all Contested until both parties can come to an agreement and the attorneys can come to a consensus on all relevant issues. Then they can address the Court that it is no longer a Contested Divorce but now an Uncontested Divorce. When this happens there will be a hearing that will consider both parties that sometimes requires proof of claims made by either party. If the laws of the court and the state are considered and are acceptable the court will approve the settlement and enter a divorce Judgment on that the same day or in the near future

Good Fridays, Bad Choices

May 29th, 2007

“You can’t answer the cell phone during prayers,” I said to myself. “Especially during these prayers at the hour that Christ died.”

“But this is probably an emergency, and you are a doctor as well as a priest!”

“No, it’s not right. Don’t answer it.”

Whenever I talk to myself, the dialogue is always feisty.

The phone buzzed in my pocket, unanswered, three persistent times. It could wait. The prayers would be over in just a few more minutes. The phone buzzed again. I discretely looked at it, just to see what name appeared on the screen. It was Raphael. That could mean only one thing: that she was dead.

My blood turned cold, and a shiver ran down my spine. The hougan (voodoo priest) had told this perfectly healthy young woman, just a week ago, that she would not live past the “prayers of Calvary hill.” It was in her cards. She could not live past the hour of Christ’s death, unless she drank the potion he could make to save her. Now sure enough, she was dead. As the prayers of Calvary hill were coming to their conclusion, so was she coming to hers.

Her name was Marie Louise. She and her brothers and sisters were born to impoverished Haitian cane cutters in the bitter sugar fields of the Dominican Republic. The mother and father having died, the children were thrown over the border into Haiti a dozen years ago, during one of the frequent Haitian roundups by Dominican officials. They landed in Haiti where they had never lived, where they knew no one, and where they could not even speak Creole. A Haitian social worker gathered them up and delivered them to our orphanage, where we have spent many years getting to know and love, and struggling to deal with, this complex family.

Earlier Good Friday morning, while enjoying a coffee, a few of us were getting ready to start the day. I was getting ready to go to visit a friend who is facing the huge challenge of brain cancer. Good Friday was a good day for such a visit: we were commemorating an absolutely stark reality, that was nevertheless overflowing with grace; a grace as dark as it was powerful. Our chatter was interrupted by a disturbing call. Marie Louise was very sick in Kenscoff, and needed help. Off we went. Sure enough, her condition was disastrous. It was clear to me immediately that her whole nervous system was under full scale attack. I was sure she was reeling from a poison. We did our best to resuscitate and stabilize her, and when there was nothing more we could add to her treatments, I left her in the care of Raphael. I had other sick people to see, and I also needed to be on time for the prayers at 3pm at the orphanage on the mountain. I thought Marie Louise stood a chance with our treatments. I had seen these things before. Usually there is a lot of hysteria associated with them. I underestimated this time how much was terror and how much was the physiology of poison. I didn’t underestimate in terms of treatment, but in terms of prognosis. I did not expect her to die.

In shock, I uttered the final “prayer of Calvary hill”. I had no idea what to think or what to do next. But for sure, I needed to get her body. The Sisters and children of the orphanage started to pray the rosary for Marie Louise. Alfonso and I headed to Port au Prince to find a coffin, and to bring her body home.

It was a long sad drive back up the mountain. It was late at night, and we gathered to bathe her body and dress her, and place her in the coffin. As we bathed her, I thought of Joseph of Aramathea, and the sacred body he prepared for burial, freshly taken off the cross, two millennia ago that very day. Both his corpse and ours were destroyed by jealousy and hatred. And there was no lack of blood in either case. His, from many afflicted wounds, hers from massive internal bleeding that poured out her mouth and nose as we prepared her for burial. Across the span of twenty centuries, we understood the sadness and the urgency of what Joseph had done for the dead Christ- the last possible act of kindness and respect.

Joseph had to observe the Jewish command to bury Jesus before sunset. We were supposed to observe the Catholic command not to bury Marie Louise until Monday. But we could not keep this un-embalmed body, in the tropics, and full of poisons, in an orphanage, from Friday to Monday. We had no choice but to arrange a simple burial, with prayers and without a funeral mass, on Holy Saturday morning, and that is what we did.

Timid heads of hundreds of orphan children peered into her coffin. Alfonso, with wet eyes and trembling hands, placed an image of the risen Christ into her cold hands. Susana and others who spoke a last goodbye did so with quivering and broken voices. And all of us had hearts as heavy as the heaviest lead.

We struggled to understand the story, the one that Marie Louise had herself painted. She had come to see Alfonso a week before, to explain a grave problem. She was in love with a man who already had a girlfriend and a child. She also had become pregnant by him. Even though the boyfriend insisted on her ending the pregnancy a few months earlier, there was still strong jealousy on the part of the other woman, who went to see a hougan to put a death curse on her. A different hougan, whom she sought for help, wanted $300 Haitian dollars to make a potion to protect her. Marie Louise was looking for that money.

Alfonso insisted, rightly, that God’s power is absolute, that to buy into these cures and this way of thinking is like stepping into quicksand. To stay close to the God of life, and to stay away from these evil incantations and their hypnotic power, was the only way to face them. (Good Friday is the most dramatic expression of this message imaginable.) He gave Marie Louise a cross to wear around her neck, to remind her of God’s love and power. Such discussions are almost daily occurrences in Haiti, so alive are the convictions that misfortune, illness and death have their source in a personal curse.

Two days before her fateful one, Marie Louis was at the orphanage again. A lovely dress, fresh makeup, cheerful conversation, helping in the kitchen. But before she left, she asked again for $300, which was once again denied.

Desolation of desolations. After her burial, we went to Kenscoff to try to understand more fully everything that had happened. I spoke with the boyfriend, the two girls who lived with her, with neighbors. I tried to find the hougan. I spent Easter Sunday in this dreary pursuit, only to find out that Marie Louise’s life was one of prostitution and drugs, of nightlong parties in filthy bars. Desolation of desolations. Those who filled her days and nights were nowhere to be found when she needed them. We were the only ones to try to rescue her from deadly poisons, to shed tears for her, to prepare her tenderly for burial, to commend her to the earth with prayers for her soul. Desolation of desolations. In spite of all her years with us, she never centered herself in what is true about love, but sought it in the places where, as the Bible says, Satan crouches like a lion ready to devour you if you are foolish enough to come near. Desolation of desolations. Marie Louise had come to us as child out of a nightmare, only to leave us as a young woman into a nightmare again. But this I know for sure: at five years old and again at twenty years old, we were truly home for her. May she rest in that comfort now.

Religions have always played contradictory roles in society. Some aspects are liberating and life-giving. Others are enslaving and destructive. Christianity has dealt some death-blows in her long and very human history. So has Voodoo. But Christianity is a religion that lives in the public eye, with an identifiable authorities that must take responsibility for her activity in society. Voodoo lives in the shadows, ever secretive, with never anyone to hold responsible. Christianity must continually restate her purpose and goals, ever refined by public challenge. Superstitions become replaced by convincing descriptions of mystery, and the demands of mystery on us. Maybe one day Voodoo will be forced into this most necessary dynamic.

Late that night, Good Friday, after a long tragic day, I stepped outside exactly at midnight to look at the stars. There was a wonder in the sky. The southern cross, of all things, shone like a diamond in the velvet sky, beneath clouds lit up by the full easter moon. I thought of God’s promise to Noah, after the great flood. If there could ever be a rainbow at midnight, there it was.

“Desperado, won’t you come down from your fences, Put down your defenses, and open the gate. It may be raining, but there’s a rainbow above you! You better let somebody love you Before its too late.”*

Tough Guys Talking Plush Dog Toys

May 29th, 2007

Recently Camille Tapp with Alpha Pet Products sent me a Billy the Duck Tough Guys Talking Plush Toy. My dog Kelly can be a destroyer of plush toys, ripping them apart and pulling the stuffing out, so I was unsure how long this toy would last.

Billy the Duck is dressed in a suit with bow tie and smoking a cigar. To further enhance the tough guy image he says “Do you think I’m funny? What am I, a clown?” when squeezed. Casino Cat, Dapper Dog, Stogie, and Lyin’ Lion are also available, each with a unique phrase. They are all around 11 inches tall.

Kelly was super excited when the box arrived. It had been packaged with some Buddy Biscuits Liver Treats and the box must have smelt very good. I got the toy out of the box, tossed it and away she went. She smelled the toy all over and then picked it up. She was able to get the toy to “talk” just by biting it. The first time it spoke, she dropped it. Then she quickly picked it back up again and bit it to make it speak again and again.

We have now had this toy for over a week and she loves to play tug of war with it, tossing it in the air and just laying down to chew on it. Billy the Duck has held up really well and is not missing any of his parts or fluff. This would be a great toy for any dog that loves to hear their toys talk.

You can find the Alpha Pets online catalog at http://camilletapp.alphapetproducts.biz They sell items for dogs, cats and people too.

Anniversary Gift For Him

May 29th, 2007

Marriage has its ups and downs, but those that endure have one “happy anniversary” after another; each growing more meaningful as memories accumulate and love continues to grow. Anniversaries are a time to show your significant other how much you care. As a woman selecting a gift for your husband, you have an idea of his likes and dislikes, so a gift should convey a celebration of your love and an understanding of what will please your “best friend”.

Sticking with tradition, the first anniversary should be a gift of paper. A simple, yet practical gift for your man could be stationary with his initials engraved on the sheets of paper and envelopes. A more elaborate gift could be a personalized poem handwritten in calligraphy on parchment paper and framed in gold. A framed photograph of a special trip or moment would also be considered a gift of paper. Moving on to the second anniversary, cotton is universal and could be any number of handmade or commercially produced items. The third years warrant a gift of leather; the fourth fruits and flowers; the fifth is wood. The 10th anniversary is significant and should be tin, the 15th is crystal and the 20th is china. If your marriage endures through 25 years, silver is the gift of choice and the 50th is gold. To find what other traditional anniversary gifts are given throughout the years, go to the Internet where you will find hundreds of sites that list gifts year by year.

The journey from paper anniversary to diamond anniversary is a long road to travel, and every year deserves careful thought on your part to make sure the gift you are giving, whether it be paper or gold, is given with love.

Gifts For Men provides detailed information about gifts for men, birthday gift for him, anniversary gift for him, gift basket for him and more. Gifts For Men is the sister site of Wholesale Embroidered Hats.

More Traffic Guaranteed

May 29th, 2007

Let’s face it. As online marketers we can never have too much
traffic. More traffic equals more sales, more sales equal a
healthier business and a healthier business equals a more
profitable asset.

But how exactly do you get more traffic?

First up a word of warning: Don’t believe the hype. There are no
magic formulas or secret strategies. The people that prorogate
these lies pray on gullible people that are often looking a fast
fix that leads to a finical wind fall. In short, there are only
three legitimate and ethical ways to increase the flow of
traffic towards your desired sites. You can buy it, email your
list or do a joint venture.

Let’s take a closer look the options:

1. Email your list.

I ‘m presuming you have one because if you haven’t your
endeavors might be making money but you certainly don’t have a
business. Having a highly responsive list is like having goose
that lays golden eggs: It’s the ultimate asset. With a click of
a button direct a flood of people to which ever site you wish.

The bottom line is this: Growing your list has to be on the top
of your “Daily Things I Must Do List”.

2. Buy it.

Buying traffic is easy. Any one can do it. You all have to do is
sign up for a Google Adwords account. The whole process takes
les than five minutes. Yes, you could sign up for one of the
other PPC (pay per click) sites but why make things hard for
yourself. Google offer the best service on the planet. They’re
number 1 because they are number 1.

Here’s the deal with buying traffic. Do a search on Google for
any thing and you’ll notice that on the right hand side there
are little boxes containing information. Yes, you guessed it,
they’re ads.

For example search for “mortgages”.

Results = 91,600,000 websites for mortgages. On the right hand
side we get the ads. The top ad would cost you about $15- $25
per click. Isn’t that expensive? No, not really. Your job is to
turn the click into a customer. If your product/sale brings in
$2000 a time and you have a conversion rate of + 1% and your max
bid price for your click is $17 every 100 click would bring you
$300 profit. Think what it means if you can increase your
conversion rate buy just .5%. That’s another $150 per $1700 that
you invest.

Increase your investment buy 100% and that buys you another 100
clicks = another $450 profit.

Buying traffic can be heaps of fun. I’m sure you can see why.

3. Joint Venture

There’s only one thing better than owning your own list and that
having access to everyone else’s list. Why? Because at the end
of the day the object is to get your offer/product or service in
front of as many pairs of eyeballs as possible.

Having a 10,000 + subscriber list is great but having twenty
friends that are each willing to email your offer to their
10,000 + subscriber lists is better.

Image how much traffic that would bring you.

Obviously, there’s much more that can be said about the three
traffic increasing strategies but these are the things that
work. In a word, More Traffic Guaranteed

Tips On Finding A Los Angeles Photographer

May 29th, 2007

How do you find a Los Angeles Photographer for that special occasion at a price I can afford? As if moving to Los Angeles isn’t difficult enough in and of itself, there is always the hassle of getting things done when you don’t know anyone to cope with. So to find a Los Angeles Photographer, or any other service for that matter, in the town, there are some steps I always take to make sure I get what I want at the price I want.

When it comes to service providers, like a Los Angeles photographer, the first step you should do is to figure out exactly what you want. In the case of a Los Angeles photographer, you will need to determine whether you are going to have portraits done, candid photos as a party, or formal pictures and portraits at an event like a wedding or graduation. Once you determine what exactly you need out of a Los Angeles photographer, you will have an easier time looking for someone who fits your specific needs.

Next, you need to do your homework. Get out your yellow pages and look up photographers. It seems like an elementary way of locating a good Los Angeles photographer, but it is a necessity to get started. Find a few that look good to you based on the ad and what it looks like they specialize in. Once you have scoured your yellow pages thoroughly, check out the internet. Look up Los Angeles photographers in a search engine or business directory and look for more places you can check out. Also, you may want to look up the ones you have chosen from the yellow pages to see if they have a website. Often the sites have sample photos, portfolios, and the like which can help you to make an informed decision about the photographer that will work best for you.

Last comes the calls. Once you have narrowed your list of Los Angeles photographers down, you should start making calls. Talk to the photographer, find out about availability, find out about prices, and get a feel for the business. You want someone you feel comfortable with, so it is okay to just go a little bit on gut feeling. In addition, you should ask about additional services, like video or album creation. Once you have talked to all of the photographers on your list you will likely have a fairly easy time making your decision. Choose someone you have confidence in and feel comfortable with and you won’t go wrong.

Moving to a new city can be incredibly difficult. Having to find a service provider in that city, then, can be equally as daunting. However, finding a Los Angeles photographer or any other services provider doesn’t have to be that bad. By taking three simple steps, you will have done your homework and be able to book a photographer that meets your needs at the price you are looking for. Take your time and work with confidence and you will find your Los Angeles photographer in no time.
