Maximum Cardio

June 30th, 2007

Depending on your goals and body type, different amounts of cardio may be required. A lean “hard-gainer” trying to add mass may benefit from only one or two cardiovascular sessions per week. On the other hand, someone like myself who is extremely prone to storing fat and sensitive to carbohydrates may require 3 or more sessions in order to maintain peak physique. Since you can only get better at a particular exercise by performing it, those interested in running marathons or participating in endurance events such as a triathlon must increase their frequency of cardio in order to prepare for the event.

MAXIM 1: Your body type and goal for training will dictate the type, frequency, and length of your cardio

When your goal for cardio is general health, you have a few decisions to make about what type of cardio you will perform. Many people enjoy taking long, slow runs. Enjoying cardio is important, so if you find an enjoyable method of cardio, there is no reason why you should discard it. The same decision should influence your choice for timing. Many people claim that you must perform cardio first thing in the morning and/or on an empty stomach to see maximal benefit. I disagree. If you have trouble waking up or putting a full effort into morning cardio, and will get a much more vigorous workout in the evening, then why not do it then? Perform cardio when you feel the best, when you are ready and know you will stick with it and give it 100%.

MAXIM 2: Find cardio that you enjoy, and do it when you feel you have the most energy

There are many styles of cardio. There is some debate about what cardio is best for you. People preach about training in the “zone” of a particular heart rate for maximum fat burning benefit. While it is true that your body will utilize more fat for energy during this period, this is not the entire picture. Moderate cardio means your body will recover quickly - your heart rate will return to normal within a short period. Intense cardio, which elevates your heart rate beyond the “zone”, may not burn as much fat during the exercise, but your body will take longer to recover. Your body must process waste and your heart rate will remain elevated for hours after the bout of exercise. You will burn more calories throughout the day, and therefore you will receive a superior benefit.

To better understand this, let’s consider a situation where you burn 200 calories during exercise. You have a choice: you might burn those calories walking at a brisk pace and reading a book, and it will take you 1 hour. Or, you might burn those calories performing short sprints followed by periods of moderate jogging, and you will burn those calories in 20 minutes. While the “hour” cardio kept you in the “zone” for fat burning, guess what? The 20-minute cardio elevated your heart rate and took you into an anaerobic zone where your body accumulated an “oxygen debt” - a need for oxygen and fat burning to help flush waste from your system and recover from the intense exercise. So during a 24-hour window, you will burn MORE than the 200 calories, and therefore be closer to your fat loss goal.

While there is no hard, scientific evidence to support this next maxim, I truly believe in it. I have witnessed this not only in my own transformation, but also with countless others as well.

MAXIM 3: The less time it takes to burn the same amount of calories, the more calories you will expend later that day

This maxim may seem confusing, but it’s very simple. It means that if you are going to burn 200 calories, when you burn that 200 calories in 20 minutes instead of 1 hour, your metabolism will increase throughout the day and you’ll end up burning MORE than 200 hours when that day is done. This is why high intensity interval cardio, like that recommended in David Greenwalt’s book, The Leanness Lifestyle or the “20-Minute Aerobic Solution™” which is recommended by Bill Phillips in Body-for-LIFE™ is so effective - it burns the most amount of fat in the shortest period of time

Just because high intensity cardio may burn more calories doesn’t make it superior to moderate cardio except with respect to calories burned. There is some evidence that you may improve your cardiovascular health more quickly with high intensity cardio, but this is no reason to discard your long runs. If you have a busy schedule and wish you fit 3 short, 20-minute sessions, then intensity is the way to go. If, however, you truly enjoy your long bike ride or jog on the weekends, then go ahead and do it - you will still be improving your health and burning calories, and if it is something that you enjoy, you will stick with it! Remember, too, that if you are training for a marathon, all of the 20-minute high intensity cardio in the world will not prepare you fully to run 20+ miles. You must perform the moderate, long duration cardio to prepare your body for the event.

This leads us to another maxim. Your heart rate can provide you a lot of information about your training. Over time, your resting heart rate should decrease. Mine went from the high 60’s to a current value of 48 due to my cardiovascular conditioning. When you train with weights, you can use a heart rate monitor to see what your target heart rate is (weight training will take it to the anaerobic levels, or about the maximum heart rate you would want to train at) - this will provide much better feedback than a generic formula. By tracking your heart rate, you can monitor your effort. If you train today at 160bpm then have a lousy day and don’t feel like you’re receiving any benefit, use your heart rate as a guide. As long as you are pushing hard enough to hit that 160bmp mark again, you know you are getting at least the same intensity from your training as the time before.

MAXIM 4: Use your heart rate as a tool for feedback about your progress, not as a “RULE” for fat loss (i.e. the “zone”, etc)

Many people are very intrigued by the readouts on machines when they perform cardio. Unfortunately, those numbers are based on generic equations that fit the “general population” rather than you as an individual. For example, calories burned are based on your weight. A 200-pound person at 8% body fat will have the same formula applied as a 200-pound person at 30% body fat. However, the more that you train and the leaner you are, the less calories you will burn during the same activity. In this example, the 8% person will actually burn fewer calories than the 30% person, due to their level of health and amount of lean mass. There are also issues with metabolism, activity throughout the day, nutrition, and many other factors that are not taken into account.

Does this mean that the readouts are worthless? Not at all. In fact, they are very useful. When I did my morning run this morning, the readout said that I burned 610 calories in 30 minutes. While I may not have truly expended that amount of energy, it is a great reference for me. Why? Because the next time that I perform cardio on that machine, I’m going to push myself harder and try to burn 650 calories. Again, I may not actually be burning 650 calories, but you can be certain that if the readout gives me that number, I will be working harder next week than I did today. So it is a great tool to gauge your own progress. It is also a great tool to mix up your style of training. If I do a high intensity workout and burn “400” calories, then I know if I come back and perform moderate training, I can shoot for “400” calories and expend about the same amount of energy during the activity.

MAXIM 5: Do not take the readouts on cardio machines literally - use them as a scale to gauge your own progress

It is interesting to learn the various ways that different styles of cardio expend energy. A slow, moderate run may take 45 minutes to burn 400 calories. However, the same amount of calories might be expended in a 15 minute, high intensity run. This is due to the fact that your heart rate becomes extremely elevated, and your muscles begin performing extreme work in order to help you accelerate through the intense periods. On the same token, a “slow” jog on a steep incline may burn the same amount of calories. In this situation, your body is fighting against gravity, so again you are still performing “high intensity” effort despite the slower pace.

As a final ingredient, consider variety. I can guarantee that if you always use the treadmill, your body will become so efficient at using the treadmill that you will begin to burn fewer calories doing the same workout. On the other hand, if you perform treadmill work one session, stair climber work another session, then go for a jog, you will continue to see the benefit of increased calorie expenditure. If your training permits, try to build in as much variety as possible. This will keep the fat melting off and continuously improve your cardiovascular condition.

MAXIM 6: Variety is key - whenever possible, vary not only your style of training (i.e. moderate, high intensity, etc) but also the terrain or equipment that you train on

I often have clients complain that they don’t have access to the right equipment to perform much variety with cardio. If you simply purchase an inexpensive jump rope, you can easily train two different exercises: jogging, and jump roping. Now consider different styles of training: moderate (low intensity), high intensity interval training, and just high intensity training (where you try to elevate your heart rate and maintain that throughout the duration of the exercise). This alone provides 6 different possibilities for a cardio session, which is more than enough variety to change things throughout your training cycles.

Cardiovascular exercise is an important component of general health. While certain people may require different amounts and types of cardio, everyone should engage in at least a little cardiovascular activity each week. There are many methods for training which all have their advantages. You should learn what works for you and what you truly enjoy so that you will continue to perform cardio and reap benefits of good health.

Don’t let someone fool you into thinking cardio isn’t necessary. Even if you are in top shape, a little cardiovascular exercise can still benefit your general health. The key is to change the style and frequency of cardio to suite your lifestyle and fitness goals. Consider various styles of training, different terrains, and new types of equipment to train on. As always, learn your body and don’t use any one else’s rules to dictate your training. Keep a good journal, and find out what works for you. Peak cardio is a sure way to move closer to your peak, natural physique.

How To Use RSS Feeds In Your Marketing

June 29th, 2007

It was Friday night. I finished reading a book about RSS feeds. Quickly set up one for my site, submitted it on directories and went to bed.

Sunday morning, I noticed a sale. Idly, I scanned my logs to see where the buyer had found me.

It was from Yahoo! Now that may not seem surprising, except… I had not been listed in Yahoo! before.

Curious, I did a Yahoo! Search for my domain name… and almost fainted in shock! There were 123 of my pages listed - many of them in the top 10 ranks on my best keywords.

My RSS feed had been listed within 48 hours - and since my other pages were linked from it, they had all been indexed by Yahoo! just as quickly. And for free!

Since then I have heard many others share similar experiences. It is no fluke. RSS is H-O-T. And search engines LOVE it.

So what is RSS? An acronym for Really Simple Syndication, it is a web language format designed to help syndicate content across different sources.

RSS has been around for more than 10 years but has only recently become popular. RSS feeds provide headlines and summaries of information in a concise and standardized way.

The rise in RSS popularity, specially among marketers, has many reasons. Email filters and new legislation have lowered the effectiveness of email marketing. Content syndication in many different ways is gathering momentum. And fresh, frequently updated content is the very essence of the Web.

How can you use RSS feeds in your marketing? Is there a way to turn RSS feeds into profits?

Absolutely. Here are some ideas:

  1. Beat email filters. Ask your subscribers, prospects and clients to sign up to your RSS feed along with your email newsletter. If the ezine gets blocked, they’ll still get your RSS feed.

  2. Spread the word. Offer your new, valuable content to many other ‘lazy’ website owners - in return for getting extra exposure of your name and brand to their audiences.

  3. Get listed on search engines. No one knows how long this ‘honeymoon’ will last. But ride the wave - and get into search engines quickly, inexpensively - by submitting your RSS feeds to them.

  4. Use the first-mover advantage. Dedicated RSS directories are mushrooming. Make sure your RSS feed is indexed in them and you could future-proof your business. Imagine if you were one of the first sites to be indexed in Google or Yahoo 5 years ago!

  5. Offer your readers new content. Keep creating your own content - but also use RSS feed syndication to offer other people’s content to your list. Less pain, less strain, more gain.

And that’s not all. On a bet, I sat down and listed 41 different ideas to profit from RSS feeds. I’m sure you can do it too - and turn the hot new revolution in online communication into a money magnet for your ebusiness.

Happy blogging.

Effortless Networking: What’s the Best way to follow up with Leads and Referrals?

June 29th, 2007

Do you know what the best way is, to follow up with a lead or a referral?

Before answering the question, let’s start with a distinction, because leads and referrals are two different things.

A “referral” is someone who has found out about you and your business through a friend or associate (from someone they trust). The referrer typically knows you and/or has first-hand knowledge of your products or services, and enthusiastically tells others about you because they like (or love!) what you have to offer.

For example, when you recommend your favorite restaurant to a friend, you’re giving the restaurant a “referral”. Or when you urge your sister to contact your financial advisor for help and advice on the best way to manage her money, and you go on at length about how this financial advisor has helped *you*, you’re giving your financial advisor a “referral”.

A “lead” is a name and contact information you get from any source; such as, business cards you collect at your trade show booth, or names people give of others who may be interested in what you have to offer. A “lead” knows little about you (if anything), and certainly hasn’t had anyone rave to them about you.

So, for example, if you give your financial advisor your sister’s name and contact information, and never tell your sister that you did so, or how good this financial advisor is, or that she should call the financial advisor even if he doesn’t contact her, you’re essentially giving your financial advisor a “lead”.

As a business owner, which one would you prefer: a lead or a referral? And are you currently mistaking one for the other?

So back to the original question: given the difference between leads and referrals, the way you follow up with each will obviously be different.

Following up with a “lead” is like making a cold call, since the “lead” doesn’t really know you. For more information on cold calls and how to approach “strangers”, check out my favorite sales book, “The Accidental Salesperson” by Chris Lytle. Part 3 of this book covers this information.

Following up with a “referral” is different — ideally, your “referral” will call *you*!

Within the last month, two different “referrals” called me, wanting to work with me.

The first person was referred to me by a past client. By the time this person called me, she was ready to work with me. She already knew from my past client how I worked, the kinds of results she could expect to get from working with me, what *she* needed to do to get the most out of our work together, how much I charged, etc. So literally, all I had to do was ask this person when she wanted to start!

The second person was referred to me by a business owner, with whom I’ve been talking about collaborating on certain types of projects. Although we haven’t yet established our business partnership, we have spent a lot of time understanding each other businesses and ideal client profiles. So when the second referral called me, he was almost ready to work with me. By the end of our conversation, once I had answered all his questions and addressed all his concerns, he too scheduled an appointment to start working with me.

So… what do you think allowed these “referrals” to come to me? And how can YOU cultivate relationships with people so they send you good quality “referrals” (not “leads”) like these?

If you can’t find the answer in these examples, or want more ideas or information on how to cultivate and encourage your referral sources, here’s a book that can help: “Business By Referral” by Ivan Misner and Robert Davis.

My point is this: if you can understand and experience for yourself *exactly* what it takes to give good quality referrals to others, you can use this first-hand knowledge and information to help and make it easy for others to give *you* good quality referrals.

Corsets, Old World Charm And Sexy Contemporary Styles

June 29th, 2007

Corsets have been worn by women for thousands of years. In fact the oldest corset dates back to ancient Minoans from around 2000 BC. When most people think of corsets they think of the heavy bulky garments from the middle ages of Europe. Traditional corsets were not only heavy, restrictive and very uncomfortable to wear. As fabric technology has improved corsets are now not only more comfortable but are being worn as outwear.

Most women don’t own or have never worn a corset. However if you’re looking for a fashion garment that accentuates your curves and bust line, a corset can be your best friend, so lets take a closer look at what a corset is. A corset is garment that covers your lower torso from bust line to waist. The sides have curved shaped ribbing that gives your body the classic hourglass shape. These ribs are usually made a thin lightweight metal or hard plastic. While these ribs do push your body into certain shapes, they aren’t “trainer” corsets which pose health hazards to your internal organs. To wear a corset first loosen the strings which are located on the back of the garment. There is usually a zipper in the front of the corset, unzip it and wrap the garment around your torso. Align it so the strings are in the back and close the zipper. Now grab the strings and gently but firmly pull to tighten. Pull the strings until the corset is snug and firm. Do not pull the strings so tight that you can’t move or breathe comfortably. The first thing that you’ll notice is your bust line is now enhanced and you will probably be showing more cleavage than you are used to. While this is normal it does take some getting used to. Many women with a large bust find a corset is more comfortable to wear, as it gives them more support than a standard bra.

Most corsets fall into the category of intimate apparel. They come in a wide variety of fabrics such as satin, silk, or lace and an array of colors. You can find something that allows you to be as modest or daring as you desire. If your corset comes with a garter belt and stockings be sure to put on the stockings before the corset, it’s just easier. Corsets are also moving out of the bedroom and being worn as outwear. There corsets are very similar to traditional corsets but available in decorative and luxurious fabrics. They may not be appropriate for a Monday morning office staff meeting but are great for an informal party or night at a club. If you’ve never worn a corset and would like to try one start with an outwear corset first, they are generally easier and more comfortable to wear.

Link Exchange: A Better Way for 2006

June 29th, 2007

While traditional link exchanges still hold some value, it may
be time to add a different tactic to your link-building arsenal.
Why? Because it appears that swapping links doesn’t provide
quite as much ‘oomph!’ for moving up in the search engine
rankings as it used to, at least not for sites in highly
competitive niches. Many sites that were on the first page of
results and relied heavily on exchanging links have lost those
coveted positions after recent search engine updates (especially
the ‘Jagger’ update at Google).

Disclaimer: Only employees who are in the know at the search
engines can say with certainty which factors determine rankings.
The decrease in link exchange benefit is speculation based on
testing and some consensus among ‘experts’ outside of the
engines.

Build More One-Way Links

Assuming that it’s true about link exchanges becoming an
obsolete way to get higher search engine rankings, it’s wise to
find ways to build one-way inbound links. At the very least, no
web site owner should rely completely on one form of link
gathering. It’s never smart to put all of one’s eggs in the same
basket, after all.

The rub here is that most site owners still pursue link swaps as
their ‘bread-and-butter’ means of building links. That can play
against you in your own link strategy if you don’t continue to
offer exchanges. What to do?

What you need is a sort of hybrid approach. That is, find a way
to appeal to the barter mindset of exchanging something of value
for something else of value that most web site owners have
ingrained in their modes of thinking. Along those lines, here’s
a great way to continue building links without swapping them:
offer original, unique content in exchange for a one-way link.

Trade Content for Links Instead

Here’s how it works…

Instead of offering to exchange links on your links page, write
a short notice that you will write a few hundred words of
original, exclusive content (300-500 is plenty) that the other
site owner may use on his or her site. In exchange, they must
post a link to your site on either their home page or another
important page that is linked directly from the home page. Make
it clear that your link must not appear on their links page,
where it would just share space with many others. For the value
to be equal, your link should get special handling in exchange
for that great page of new content.

Now, expect not to get too many takers at this stage. The link
exchange notion is pretty ingrained in most site owners. That
being the case, there’s another part of this strategy you should
definitely pursue.

Be proactive! Seek out related sites from which you’d love to
have a link, and approach the site owner or webmaster with an
offer to write a page of high quality content in exchange for a
return link. We’ve been following this strategy for months with
our network of sites and the results are impressive! You can
expect a much higher rate of agreement from this approach than
the tired old “I love your site! let’s exchange links!” routine,
which is increasingly too time consuming to be worth the effort.

Some Important Points

First, follow through and write truly excellent content. Don’t
just dash off a quick article that doesn’t convey useful and
interesting information. Savvy web site owners will quickly
refuse to post your link if you abuse the situation in this way.

Second, make the content you give away original and exclusive.
This is your ‘hook’ - your best selling point. If you try to
give a site owner the same content that appears somewhere else,
you’ll lose a wonderful opportunity to get a great one-way link.

Perhaps the most important point of all is to use this strategy
only with closely related sites that have high quality content.
Be picky! Start by checking out the top ranked sites in your
niche. Search Google or another major search engine to get a
list of the top sites, then visit each one and, if you deem it
worthy, find their contact information and send a short, polite
inquiry to see if they are interested in an exchange of content
for a link back to your site.

When other site owners approach you from the notice on your
links page - again, be picky. You’ll be spending some of your
valuable time to write them a page of high quality content. You
will want a high quality link in return. If a site does not meet
your high standards, take a pass. In all cases, if you agree to
the content-for-link exchange, always request a link from their
home page. It’s the best possible place for your link and, at
worst, the other site owner will refuse and suggest a different
page. It can’t hurt to ask!

Ultimately, the real long-term value in following this
link-building strategy is the return on your investment of time.
The relatively short amount of time you invest in writing the
content you give away may produce dividends in traffic and
higher search engine rankings that last for years. Viewed from
that perspective, doesn’t this make good sense?

The Credentials of Any Good San Diego Criminal Defense Lawyer

June 29th, 2007

The hallmark credentials that you want to see when hiring a San Diego criminal defense lawyer on a serious felony charge are pretty much the same for a criminal defense lawyer anywhere. When you are charged with a serious felony in a state court system where your exposure is many years in prison you don’t want someone “practicing” or dabbling on your matter. You want a consummate talented and respected professional that regularly handles the type of criminal charge that you are charged with.

The bottom line is that you want a lawyer with a winning reputation. The profile that makes up that type of lawyer consists of a number of characteristics. You want a lawyer that is well educated. While the law school a lawyer went to isn’t necessarily the characteristic that makes the difference, the better law schools produce lawyers who understand the theory of the law better which makes them better able to make arguments that persuade judges.

You also want a lawyer who has a good presence and who is respected in the courts. The more respected your lawyer is, the better he will be able to negotiate, win critical motions, and get rulings favorable to your case. A good lawyer who is respected in his community will be respected anywhere he or she goes to handle a case. The prosecutors and the judges get the picture quickly by the way the lawyer handles themselves.

You want a lawyer who has been practicing many years if your case is a serious felony such as murder, vehicular manslaughter, forcible rape, or child molestation. The more years a lawyer has practiced means that he or she has handled more situations, more cases, and more trials. That combined experience means that they will be able to analyze your case quicker and with more accuracy than a lesser experienced lawyer. Years of experience means they know all the moves and how to implement them effectively at the right moment.

Make sure your lawyer has successfully handled many cases of the type of charge you have. If you are charged with murder, for instance, you want a lawyer who has handled and tried several murder cases. A top gun lawyer should be able to cite several examples of jury trial results and favorable settlements in the type of case you have. There is no reason not to hire a lawyer with a long record of winning. Every lawyer has won a case or two. You want the lawyer with a long list of successful results.

In every major community in this country competent skilled professionals exist who are capable of getting you the best results. A little work trying to find one will be worth the effort. If you throw your money away on someone who isn’t up to the task you won’t find out until it is too late. You can always change lawyers but you may have spent all of your resources. Major Tip: Don’t ask people to refer you to a good lawyer. You may just be getting a friend or a business referral. Ask people: “Who are the five or ten best San Diego criminal defense lawyers to handle a serious state court felony trial case?” You will likely get a list of great lawyers. The good lawyers will all talk to you and you will be able to see the difference and choose who you are most comfortable with and can afford.

William F. Nimmo is a highly regarded San Diego criminal defense lawyer who
has successfully defended residents statewide for nearly three decades. He
has been a San Diego criminal trial lawyer of the year and has been awarded
the Directors’ Award for Excellence by the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar
Association. See http://www.nimmolawgroup.com/ for more information.

USA Basketball Candidates Official

June 29th, 2007

The lengthy list of the 25 candidates for the 2008 USA Basketball Team for the Olympics has finally been announced. The USA Basketball team looks to redeem themselves after a poor bronze medal showing at the 2004 Olympics.

The list includes 21 NBA stars (in alphabetical order): Carmelo Anthony, Gilbert Arenas, Shane Battier, Chauncey Billups, Chris Bosh, Bruce Bowen, Elton Brand, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Antawn Jamison, Joe Johnson, Shawn Marion, Brad Miller, Lamar Odom, Chris Paul, Paul Pierce, Michael Redd, Luke Ridnour, Amare Stoudemire, and Dwyane Wade.

J.J. Redick and Adam Morrison, both of whom are currently still in college, are also invited, rounding out the roster to 23 total players.

One player’s exclusion has garnered heated media attention, and his name isAllen Iverson. Many point to Iverson’s age and style of play as reasons for his exclusion, despite his important role in the last Olympics.

“We wanted a team not of individual stars, but athleticism, shooters, role players and distributors,” national team managing director Jerry Colangelo said.

Colangelo is also hoping that high school basketball star Greg Oden will be able to join the team for training this summer.

The 23 players will attend a training camp in Las Vegas in July. The team will then fly to China and South Korea to participate in exhibition games. Afterwards, a 12-man roster will be selected for the world championships held in Japan.

There will be another training camp in 2007, which could be regional Olympic qualifying. It will be followed by another camp and additional exhibition games in 2008, before the Beijing Olympics begin.

The team will be led by Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

7 Big Mistakes In Goal-Setting - #7: Not Knowing What You Want

June 29th, 2007

This is the biggest and most common goal-setting mistake of all – not getting round to setting any goals because you don’t know what you want.

You can be an expert in all the goal-setting techniques known to man, but if you haven’t taken the time to find out what you really want, one of two things is bound to happen:

  1. You don’t set any goals. This means that you drift, and life just happens to you, and you have to react to whatever it decides to throw at you. This might work out OK if you’re lucky – and it might not.

(It’s perfectly possible to drift in a well-paid corporate career, by the way – for the first twelve years of my working life, I sleepwalked through my IT career and was quite comfortably off by the end of it. But because I had no direction, I was unfulfilled and also vulnerable to career upsets.)

  2. You set goals (because you think you should, or because someone else tells you to) but they are not really about what you want. You don’t achieve your goals, because your unconscious mind sabotages them, or you achieve them but discover they are not what you really wanted. Either way, you still feel unfulfilled.

So how, in Carlos Castaneda’s words, do you choose “a path with heart?” How do you find your calling?

You can use either or both of these methods:

  • Take some time to discover your values in each area of your life – for example, what’s important to you in a career? What’s important to you in a relationship? Elicit the values for each area in turn by asking just that question: “What’s important to you?”

You will get the best results when you get a friend to ask you this question, especially if they keep asking even after you think you have found all your values. Some of the deepest and most motivating of your values will be the ones that you are not at first consciously aware of.

Some values are more important to you than others, so decide which are the ‘must-haves’ and which are the ‘nice-to-haves’ - and then go for fulfilling all of them anyway!

  • Try different experiences out. Notice what you enjoy (or don’t enjoy) about them? What is it about each experience that you really liked? Which of your values was it calling to?

The more reference experiences you have, the clearer idea you will have of your preferences, boundaries, and the ‘hot buttons’ that really excite your motivation; ultimately, the more idea you will have of who you really are.

How To Find Your Own Valuable Adsense Keywords For Free

June 29th, 2007

There’s tons of money to be made from the Google Adsense program
for web masters and blog owners. That’s why “the vultures are
circling” and folks are getting sucked in with all sorts of
offers that promise instant high Adsense revenue. One of the
top-selling products these days are those lists with the
highest-paying Google Adsense keywords. Many people are
desperately searching out for these lists and many will not
hesitate to pay for them, especially because there are some
keywords that are reputed to be capable of earning $100 per
click.

I’m not saying all the lists are bad? In fact a good number of
them are genuine and are created by high earning Adsense
webmasters looking to maximize on their profits and to get
something back from their time-consuming valuable keywords
research efforts. Nothing wrong with that, in fact it makes
perfect business sense. Except that you don’t really need those
lists, there is a better proven way to increase your Adsense
earnings.

The Adsense Secret Is All About Finding A Niche

The most important Adsense secret you will discover is that to
make money and be successful, all you need to do is to stick to
the basic rules for success in online marketing. The basics are
that you need to find a niche that is not so competitive and one
which you can contribute something special to based on your past
experience, knowledge and skills. Everything else will then fall
into place after this. Virtually every subject and topic you can
think of will have relevant and valuable keywords.

This is in sharp contrast to the approach being encouraged by
list-sellers. Which is to start by finding high-paying valuable
keywords and then creating sites or blogs based on them. To
start with Google do not like the idea because one of their
rules is that you should not create a site or blog for the sole
purpose of making money from Adsense. Of course it is easy to
get round this one by quickly creating some products around your
site and you really don’t need to care whether they sell or not,
but who are you fooling?

The World Wide Web is increasingly busy and increasingly
competitive and what this means is that niches are becoming
increasingly vital and critical to online success.

You Will Earn More From Adsense With Multiple Sites/Blogs

Once you’ve found your niche, you can create a number of
different sites narrowing your niche even further in different
directions. I’ve used this strategy very successfully and I find
that I am constantly coming up with new ideas for new sites
without leaving my area of expertise. Of course I create
relevant links between my different sites so as to maximize on
the traffic that I receive. The important word here is
“relevant”. There is nothing that puts off folks more than
clicking on a link only to find that it is barely relevant to
the information they are seeking. You’re wasting their time and
they will not appreciate it. Better not to link at all in the
first place.

What some high-earning Adsense folks have done is to create
numerous blogs (some up to 50 and even more.) This strategy
makes sense because the more pages you have with Adsense ads on
them, the higher the chances of somebody clicking on some of the
ads and therefore the higher your potential income. What I can’t
imagine is how they manage to keep all the different blogs fed
with quality content. I once tried this strategy with just one
or two sites and it was very exhausting getting content for
sites outside my area of expertise. There are increasing reports
of incidents of pirated online content and I guess you now
understand part of the reason why.

When you stick to one subject, keeping all your blogs fed with
content becomes a breeze. You simply take one idea and modify it
or slant it differently for the different sites. Even more
important, it is easy to use the same valuable Adsense keywords
for all the sites as you discover them.

A Free Tool To Help You Find Valuable Adsense Keywords

Here is a valuable tool that I use myself to constantly research
valuable Adsense keywords. While you do not need those valuable
Adsense keywords lists, you need to constantly research valuable
Adsense keywords for yourself. Top Adsense earners spend a vast
majority of their time doing this. You need to do the same if
you want to be earn a serious income from the Adsense program.

Contested And Uncontested Divorce

June 29th, 2007

A divorce case is contested if the parties cannot agree on every one of the issues involved in their particular situation. Common areas of disagreement include, but are not limited to: grounds for divorce, custody of the children, visitation rights, division of the assets of the marriage, child support, maintenance (alimony), payment of family debts, contribution toward educational expenses (college or parochial), payment of health insurance for the dependent spouse, income tax structuring, etc

When a divorce case is filed, it is given an identification number and is deemed by the court to be a matter that will ultimately require trial time in order to resolve all issues. Divorce cases are generally called for trial in the order in which they were filed.

A divorce case remains a “Contested Divorce” until each and every item is resolved. If, however, at any time during that period of the divorce case, the parties and their attorneys can reach an agreement on all of the issues, they can then stipulate to the court to have the matters heard as an “Uncontested Divorce” (no fault divorce) matter. When this occurs, the court will accommodate the parties to the marriage and provide an expedited Hearing in which it will hear proof regarding the grounds of the divorce and the settlement of the divorce. If the standards of the court and the law are met, the court will approve the settlement and enter a divorce Judgment on that day or shortly thereafter.

Remember that, it is usually easier to marry than to divorce, especially if the spouses who wish to do so must divide their common property as well.

Attempts to use the worldwide Web as an effective means of struggle against bureaucracy are undertaken constantly and sometimes successfully. Today it is possible to fill legal forms for divorce by divorce online legal services.

Note that Legalhelper.net (http://www.legalhelper.net/divorce.aspx) provides an easy-to-use, quick, and economical online method for creating completed legal forms from its site for your uncontested divorce (either no-fault divorce or fault divorce).
