Simple Ways to Have Happy Experiences

October 31st, 2007

Happiness is a ‘now you feel it, now you don’t’ emotion. I know this from personal experience and from hearing of the experiences of others. Sometimes I’m very happy, other times, sad, joyful, contented, frustrated, and sometimes very neutral.

Several years ago I had no reference point for the word happy. I knew technically the meaning of the word, however the experience eluded me. Joy I could do, happy for some reason, no.

One day during a workshop the word happy was demonstrated to me with much laughter from the audience. Now I not only get ‘happy’ but remember it also as a fun experience.

There are many small things that can make me happy as well as give me endless joy. I’ve listed seven simple ways toward experiencing a happy moment, but first check you have a reference point to the word happy. Find out what happy really means to you?

1. Remember or create a ‘happy’ moment. When you live the experience of ‘happy’ your mind and body will remember. Feel the happiness in all parts of you, expand this feeling if need be. Practise this daily.

2. Access the Present moment. Notice what happens to you when you’re totally focussed on a comedy show on television, when you listen to light hearted music or when you dance - even if it’s on your own. I sometimes groove to a tune in my office when no-one’s looking – it makes me feel good, cool, gives me a break from what I’m doing and I laugh at myself!

3. Invite friends over for some play time. Organise paper, crayons, paint, and coloured pencils, whatever you can think of and do some drawings or paintings. You could also ask each person to bring along a plate of food.

4. Spend time with nature, go for a walk down the beach or park; observe wildlife in your area or visit a plant nursery. Notice your mood when amongst the spirit of nature.

5. Take something with you that gives you great pleasure such as a book, journal for writing or your MP3 player and sit and ‘Be’ under the canopies of trees for a few hours.

6. Learn something totally new such as another language; pottery or painting or start your meditation, personal or spiritual development program. You’re only ever limited by your own imagination.

7. Join a club or group that you have an interest in. You can then expand your friendship base with other like-minded souls.

With any of the above activities assess what and how you’re feeling as well as where you feel the emotion and how much are you laughing, grinning, or smiling? Remember them totally by living the experience and you will then be able to recall this memory when you want to.

Include to memory your experience colours, smells, sounds and tastes – all the better for remembering your happy time with.

Quiet time spent alone can open the door to the possibility of connection to that most amazing and magical part of you that is your true self, the spirit within.

From my experience the key to a happy life begins with remembering who you are, know what gives you enjoyment, be present, and know that regardless of your circumstances no–one can take away your thoughts or dreams, they are yours to keep for as long as you wish.

Memories Are Forever When You Create A Photo Album

October 31st, 2007

It took the digital camera to make me finally create a photo album. You see, I had a virtual photo album on the computer, one which would show the images that I had taken, and where I could arrange them in whatever configuration I wanted.

I realized then, that I had to create a photo album, or forever lose track of all of my precious memories. I simply didn’t know where anything was anymore, so I set off to by a lovely hardbound book to create a photo album to organize all of my most precious pictures so that I could show them.

With the prevalence of digital cameras and the fast pace of life, few people really take the time to create a photo album anymore. This is really a shame.

I could even design covers or text for my digital photo album, which was pretty neat. It was so convenient, that I rarely bothered to look at my old pictures any more. I just wasn’t up for the effort of digging through them anymore.

I had always kind of wanted to create a photo album, but had never gotten around to it, and over the years I had become pretty good at hunting for just the image which I wanted in my box of pictures.

Then one day, I was having over my sons fiance. She’s a sweet girl, and I decided to embarrass him and make her feel part of the family by showing off some of his baby pictures. But when I looked for them, try as I might, I couldn’t find them at all.

When you create a photo album, you make something that not only showcases your photos, but arranges them in the personal style that shows you really care about what you are doing.

If you make your own photo album, you can not only select what photos to include, but what kind of book to use, how many per page, and where in your home to display it.
I first decided to create a photo album about a year ago.

Ironically, I didn’t even think to create a photo album until I had been using my digital camera for a good while. Back when I used to use my normal, analog camera, I would keep all of my pictures in boxes, and I could go into them and look at them whenever I wanted.

Life is an accumulation of our cherished memories save them by creating a photo album.

Canadian Mortgage Rates

October 31st, 2007

In today’s market, renters and even homeowners in Canada are seized by the desire to save enough funds for down payments. The reason is simple. Canadian mortgage rates are going down and real estate prices are in full swing.

To cover the heavy demand for more mortgages, lenders have adapted flexible techniques, like lowering down their Canadian mortgage rates and coming up with new products all the time.

A traditional Canadian mortgage rate would be a loan requiring the buyer to put down 20 per cent of the property’s value in cash. Such a Canadian mortgage rate requires a big amount of money but the benefits are great.

Look around for low Canadian mortgage rates

Shopping around the Canadian mortgage rate market can cut down your down payment costs. With a little research, buyers can even access the posted Canadian mortgage rates and interest rates of large banks and get them for less, about one percentage point or sometimes more.

For instance, the Canadian brokering company in Montreal, Multi-Prets Hypotheques is currently offering their customers a five-year Canadian mortgage rate of 5.1 per cent. This is low compared to other banks posted Canadian mortgage rate of 6.5 per cent. This allows consumers to save thousands of dollars in Canadian mortgage rates and interest rates alone over the life of their loan.

Lower down Canadian mortgage rate with CMHC loans

Another way to lower down Canadian mortgage rates and minimize the amount of cash you put down is to get a Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) insured mortgage. A CMHC-insured mortgage can reduce the Canadian mortgage rate and down payment to 5 per cent. That Canadian mortgage rate is 20 per cent lower than traditional mortgage loans.

With a CMHC-insured mortgage, you get a loan that is like most other loans except that you get insurance from CMHC on the additional loan amount, which is the difference between the traditional 25 per cent Canadian mortgage rate and the actual payment you put down. Getting a CMHC insurance involves only a one-time payment with Canadian mortgage rates varying between 1 per cent and 3.25 per cent of the total loan, depending on the amount of cash put down.

Low Canadian mortgage rates with non-standard mortgages

Reducing your Canadian mortgage rate can also be achieved by opting for non-standard mortgages. Aggressive financial market players like Toronto’s Xceed Mortgage Corporation offer incredibly low Canadian mortgage rates and minimum down payments.

Getting a non-standard mortgage is perfect for people who have large earning powers but few capital resources. Because they have few assets to back them up, lenders might up their Canadian mortgage rates when they apply for loans. For instance, an entrepreneur whose assets are mainly invested in her business wants to apply for a loan. Her chances of a getting a low Canadian mortgage rate for a traditional loan is less compared to getting a reduced Canadian mortgage rate from a non-standard mortgage.

Lenders of non-standard loans will cover the entire purchase price of your house, leaving you to save a lot on high Canadian mortgage rates and a large down payment. However, lenders will only provide financial backing if your total monthly financial commitments (debt, interest, taxes, etc.) are no higher than 40 per cent of your monthly income.

Article Writing: Avoid The 7 Deadly Sins

October 31st, 2007

Like every other free advertising technique on the web, writing articles has several pitfalls that one must avoid. If an author is not careful, these booby-traps can destroy an article’s chances of publication and leave the author with precious time wasted.

Sin #7: Using Cliches

As an article directory owner and user, I have come to find that an increasingly large number of article writers are using cliches. In its simplest form, a cliche is a statement or idea that is so overused, it has no meaning. A cliche normally sounds quite trite.

“How do I know if I am using a cliche?” you may ask. It is very easy to tell when you know a simple rule. If you can guess what the ending of the phrase will be before you have finished reading it, you know it’s cliche. Let’s take for instance, the most prevalent cliche in article marketing. I’ll start the phrase off, and you can finish it. “Content is ____.” More than likely, you have been so exposed to this phrase, that you’ll know that “Content is King.”

Do not include cliches in your articles. You’ll sound uninformed, and will not be viewed as an authority on your subject.

Sin #6: Aggravating Article Directory Owners

Nothing is more likely to get you banned from an article site than aggravating the site owner. All you need to do in order to keep in good terms with your publishers is read their terms of service, and follow the rules set forth within. Never submit a private label resale rights article to a directory. Being publisher friendly is that simple. All you have to do is just be considerate.

Sin #5: Typographical Errors

The easiest way to seem completely misinformed is to commit a writing error. All you have to do is paste your article into a spell checker or grammar checker (such as Microsoft Word) to ensure typographically correct article content.

Sin #4: No Keywords

Never forget to include keywords in your articles, and aim to target them to your article. The better your keywords, the better the chance that your link will be clicked.

Sin #3: Not Submitting Your Articles

The easiest way to receive no exposure from an article is not to submit it to as many article directories as possible. If you are looking for a free piece of software to submit your articles, there is a link to a free script for you to use on my website under the “Free Resources” section.

Sin #2: Untargeted Resource Box

Be smart, and write articles that are relevant to the website you are promoting. A wonderful article on toothpaste won’t get people clicking on a link to a site that sells candies!

Sin #1: The Deadliest Sin of All — An Empty Resource Box

The purpose of article writing is to establish yourself as an expert in the niche that you discuss. The only way that you benefit is if you include a link to your website in the resource box. Article readers will have a site to visit to further extend their knowledge of your topic, and you will have the opportunity to make a sale.

Before you submit an article, ensure that you are not committing one of the Seven Deadly Sins of Article Writing. Your article will be more likely to be listed and republished.

shares of stock are perfectly legitimate and they hold full

stock brokers and investment companies will give you the ability

in many cases the fees involved will far outweigh the cost of
the stock.

That’s why some specialty companies have cropped up in recent
years to meet the demand for gift stock certificates. These
companies offer the ability to purchase a single share of stock
from many different companies, and often they will frame the
certificate and even offer the ability to customize the
certificate itself with a customized message from to to the
recipient.

Most of these specialty companies can be found on the internet
with a quick search, and you can have your stock certificate
delivered to your home or sent directly to the recipient of the
gift. Of course you don’t have to give it as a gift–many people
order the stocks for themselves. Some people collect the stocks
of many different companies, and others purchase only the stock
of a favorite company, such as Disney or Harley Davidson.

When you order a single share of
stock online, typically you will receive an attractive stock
certificate with a variety of elegant framing options available.
You can choose from brands like Disney, Harley, Coca-Cola, and
over 100 other companies!

It’s a unique way to show you care in a special, creative way.
It’s a gift that holds lasting significance to the person, and
involves them in the future of a company by providing them with
real equity. and again, the real stock certificate may be
engraved with a customized message from you! Of course the
possibilities are endless, but here are some great occasions for
giving a share of stock:

- Birthday gifts

- Corporate gift

- New baby present

- Child’s first investment

- Graduation present

- Valentine’s Day

- Paper anniversary

Giving a single share of stock makes a great, long-lasting
personalized gift for anyone. For more information about giving

opportunities available in the USA and throughout much of the
world.

Which College Loan is Right for You?

October 31st, 2007

Many young college students are under tremendous pressure trying
to figure out how they are going to pay the high costs of
college tuition. Often times, their parents are equally
concerned about where the money will come from for their child’s
education expenses. If you’re a worried student or have a
college bound child and have exhausted the financial aid and
scholarship avenues, your only solution is a college loan. There
are several kinds of college loans available, but which college
loan is right for you?

The first type of college loan is a federal student loan. This
loan is either subsidized or unsubsidized. Subsidized college
loans are when the government pays the interest of the loan for
the student for the time they are in school, but the student
must show a great financial need to get this type of loan.
Unsubsidized federal loans are available to anyone. With an
unsubsidized college loan, the student must pay the interest
begining at the time the loan is issued. There is no deferment.
Federal student loans are very easy to obtain and are the most
commonly used.

The next type of college loan is a private student loan. A
private student loan may be required to add funding when other
types of financial aid are not enough to cover the student’s
costs. Private student loans are credit based. They are
unsecured, which means they require no collateral, but they have
very high interest rates. Private college loans can be used for
anything, not just tuition costs.

Parent college loans are another type of college loan to
consider. A parent college loan is a loan the parents can take
for the full amount of the college tuition. This loan can span
the tuition costs for all of the years the student will be
attending college. This loan is convenient because it will be
the only loan needed for the duration of your college years. The
interest rates are much lower on parent student loans.

The last types of loan is the college consolidation loan. This
loan is used to consolidate several prior loans into one loan
source with one payment to a single lender, rather than having
several payments to several lenders. Most students find that
they need this type of college loan after they made the mistake
of not getting enough funding in an intial loan.

These are the college loans available. Before choosing a college
loan, try to figure out how much you need. Then see if you can
get any help from your parents, financial aid or scholarships.
Be sure that when applying for a college loan that your credit
is as good as possible. With some careful thought, you should be
able to select a college loan that is right for you.

Online Casino - What Is It?

October 31st, 2007

Entertaining industry conquerors more and more space of our lives. Any inventions in any technical sphere of life attract those who are involved in entertainment business. Internet was not the exception.

Lots of offers concerning gambling and getting real money can be found in the virtual world. Casinos, lotteries, bingoes, sportsbooks: thats a small part of the sphere where one can get a lot pleasure and test the fate.

This article throws some light at one of the most wide-spread area of entertaining industry which is on-line casinos. The point is to show if that`s real.

More than 3000 international on-line casinos are located in the web. There are also some thousands of national on-line casinos. The main difference between them is the language of communication, which is more applicable for people of a definite country. Another important feature is the system of payment with the currency most suitable for the country.

Gamblers from some countries (Albania, Belarus, Hungary, Latvia, Russia, etc) are not welcome in some casinos. Why not all the international casinos accept the gamblers from this countries? In fact, casinos doesn`t make a difference in nationality of the gambler. All the gamblers are indentified by IP of the provider, which is a transfer for gambler in Internet. What is the problem of such countries for casinos managers? That`s a topic for another article and we will not dig this problem deep here. Besides, more than 2000 of international casinos provides one with the choice which can satisfy anyone.

Every casino provide a set of different games, bet limits and coefficients of payings. You can play one-on-one with the croupier or with gamblers from other countries, talking friendly meanwhile. One can choose a game which involves some certain people. One can also play for dealer against the other gamblers. There`s a great list of opportunities which are given by the on-line casinos.

The detailed list of different kinds of casinos, types of the games provided, bonuses for players, types of mone transfer used by casinos, various strategies of games, theory of gambling and more useful information can be found at http://www.icasinoclub.com.

There are some more questions which can arise from players, such as

is my winning payed?

do they play honestly?

and some others. The answers should be got concerning each on-line casino separately.

Different assotiations (such as Online Player Assotiation (OPA) and some others) are created to control the casino functioning. In case of an illegal action some measures are taken, including fines and even withdrawing franchisse.

A serious punishment for a casino is the publication of the fact of its failure in free sourses of information. The great competition among casinos together with such publication may cause the financial trouble for the owner of the business. With millions of dollars are involved in the foundation of the casino (the figure of $1 000 000 is a one usual to start an average business), not every casino can let any cheating in.

The information about various casinos is given at forums, devoted to this topic. Your opinion can be left there as well. There are private forums where professional gamblers exchange their opinions. As an open source http://www.icasinoclub.com/forum can be recommended. There you can get as much useful information as you need.

On-line casinos have their own andvantages in comparison with the real ones. Safety of your own home lets you think through and apply different possible tactical steps in quiet atmosphere with no fuss. There`s additional list of games which is come across in on-line casinos only.

There`re very impessive Jack Pots. The greatest one ($1 500 000) was won in the on-line casino. The usual sum for a winning is some hundred dollars, which are won regularly.

To try the game every casino provides new-comers with additional dibs called “bonus”. To bet on virtual money you are getting pleasure as well as a sum, which will be transferred to your plastic card or a bank account.

Photo Ideas To Make Your Scrapbook A Work Of Art

October 31st, 2007

Photos bring your scrapbook to life. The placement and type of
photos you choose will make the difference between an ordinary
scrapbook and a scrapbook that truly tells a story.

You can place your pictures individually or as a collage, and
create colorful borders through the use of ribbons, beads,
captions, and artwork. The possibilities are endless when
deciding how to place your pictures in your scrapbook and what
items you should use to make decorative borders.

Deciding which photos to use in your scrapbook can be a
difficult task. Here are a few tips on taking pictures that make
great scrapbook additions:

Take candid photos of people doing everyday things such as
playing a game, participating in sports, or relaxing in a
favorite chair. Make sure you get pictures of people interacting
with others.

This is one of the best ways to fully capture a person’s
personality and facial expressions. Your subjects do not need to
be looking directly at the camera. Photos of people simply being
themselves are among the best additions that will make your
scrapbook unique.

When taking photos of children, make sure to bend or squat so
you capture the child at his or her own level. The idea is to
create natural photos, not ones that are staged and arranged
especially for a photo album.

Keep your camera within easy reach so you can snap the perfect
pictures at a moments notice. School pictures and professional
photos are great as additions to your scrapbook, but you will
want pictures that tell a story of the person’s life as well.
The very best scrapbook pictures are ones that capture
spontaneous moments

Bingo – Good for the Mind?

October 30th, 2007

When we think of bingo, genius and brainpower don’t always spring to mind; these attributes have tended to be reserved for poker and other games of skill and luck. The image of a grandparent sitting in a community hall with a cup of tea and a card of bingo does not lend itself to the intrigue of psychology and mental agility. However, according to a study by the University of Southampton’s Psychology Department, bingo may not be the trivial pastime many would take it for. Researchers there insist that bingo keeps the mind sharp and equate this as especially important to people as they get older.

The tests conducted revealed that bingo players were more accurate and faster in tests that measured memory, mental speed and their ability to absorb information from the environment around them, than those who did not play the game.

What seems to be the key advantage to the sustained playing of bingo is the concept of time. There is no doubt that games such as chess, poker and backgammon all stretch the mind and keep the brain functioning. Whereas the hand-eye coordination needed for bingo may not be as exhaustive as for other games, the time constraint in which players must check their numbers is key to the sustenance of mental agility.

The tests comprised of 112 people within the age brackets of 18 to 40 and 60 to 82. Half of each set played bingo. The results concluded that all bingo players were more accurate and quicker than non-players. Interestingly, in certain tests, the older players did better than the younger players. More and more research is supporting the theory that a regular partaking of activities that exercise the mind is very beneficial to the maintenance of optimum mental functioning as we get older.

Younger bingo players tended to be faster, but the older ones were more accurate. Many people have suggested that the reason people dismiss bingo as a “junior” gaming pastime is because we so often associate it with pensioners. The social stigma of bingo has kept it out of the major casinos and therefore reduced its respect amongst the “hipper” echelons of today’s society.

Many would be led to conclude that the above study is simply out of proportion in the sense that a game of bingo is hardly a satisfactory workout for the mind in terms of endurance and mental skill. To an extent they would be right. But what the tests seem to be suggesting crucially, is that it is the prolonged or regular partaking in the game over a sustained period of time that will lead to cognitive benefits.

Then of course there are those who believe that any form of gambling being proclaimed to be beneficial to the mind is nothing short of an aberration. Whilst certainly milder in terms of the funds that change hands than other gambling games, bingo is still a game where one pays money to gain money and as such has been criticised from certain groups in society. However, the social aspect of the game cannot be overlooked and it is this type of play that would be encouraged to facilitate the mental benefits as concluded by the study described above.

In the UK, there are around three million bingo players. It is hoped that this study and the growing body of research around it will help to promote the game to those who otherwise would have written it off as something to be enjoyed with gardening, tea and everything else we assume people over the age of 65 suddenly develop a passion for.
