Shopping for Materials for your Ceramic Tile Installation Project

November 27th, 2007

Before you start shopping for ceramic tiles and other bathroom accessories for your ceramic tile installation, here are some tile shopping tips for you. If you read them carefully they could save you some cash and trouble.

A budget is usually a consideration when installing ceramic tiles yourself.

A reason that many people become DoItYourselfer’s is to reduce the cost of ceramic tile installation.

Make a list with all the Tiles and accessories you require for your bathroom tile installation. Put them in a table of items with the various places where they are available, the quality of material and the price you have to pay for it. This way you have all the information together and can easily compare before you decide where you’re going to buy your ceramic tiles and accessories.

You’ll probably need to consider such things as; ceramic tiles, ceramic soap holders, ceramic toilet paper roll holders, ceramic bathrobe hooks, ceramic towel hangers, ceramic shelves etc. You don’t need all the accessories to be ceramic but they look nice when combined tastefully.

You should decide the overall color scheme: There are a huge variety of colored ceramic tiles and accessories on the market as well as different themes to combine with the colors

The Internet has given a new meaning to window-shopping for a ceramic tile installation. You can see the hundred of ceramic tiles, compare the prices and find the ones that suit your ceramic tile installation best. However, you should only use it as an information tool. You need to see your ceramic tiles with your own eyes before deciding which ones you want in your bathroom.

When you visit a dealer, you want to be able to get the feel of tiles and other accessories. It’s worthwhile viewing the ceramic tiles and accessories in natural light and artificial light such as tube lighting. Some tiles and accessories may look different in natural light than when under artificial light.

If you don’t have any idea what the bathroom tile installation will look like when completed, you should go through the manufacturer’s catalogue for some ideas and help.

When choosing the product, take your time shopping around to compare the alternatives available. Very often you’ll see something you like but soon find something better so don’t worry about changing your mind, just remember it’ll be worth the effort when you see your new bathroom tile installation finished just to your taste.

If you are still not satisfied then some manufacturers may be able to make a special design customised for you. However that can be rather expensive.

The bathroom size and the size of the tiles should be carefully considered as they are closely linked. The size of ceramic tile and the design of the tile make a big impact on the finish to the bathroom ceramic tile installation. Did you realise that in small bathrooms big tiles and large designs make your bathroom look even smaller so smaller tiles are more suitable?

One consideration for floor tiling may be slip resistance or polished finishes.

A certain percentage of extra tiles are always required beyond your ceramic tile installation requirements. This is due to breakages, wastages, and damage in other ways. You should order a minimum of an extra 1 % of plain tiles and 2 or 3 extra pieces for future replacement. This is important as tile manufacturing is a batch process and there are minor variations from batch to batch so it’ll be impossible to get matching tiles from the same manufacturer later.

Complete Secure and Reliable ceramic tile installation.

Criminal Background Check Get it Quickly Online

November 27th, 2007

How often have you been searching for a phone number or address
and seen an advertisement for a criminal background check? This
tool that was once available only to law enforcement officials
is now available to anyone who is willing to pay for it. Think
it’s all a bogus ploy for money? Think again.

Criminal background checks can be used by businesses and
individuals for a variety of purposes. Some of those reasons are
commonly understood. A daycare, school or after-school program
will likely run criminal background checks to be sure that
workers have no history of child molestation. While it’s not a
foolproof method of being sure that children are safe, it is a
step in the right direction. By the same token, nursing homes
and retirement centers may run a criminal background check to
eliminate workers and volunteers who have known violent
tendencies. Hospitals and doctor’s offices may use criminal
background checks to look for drug abuse, since workers will
likely have access to drugs on the premises.

There are some other reasons for a business to run a check. A
company may choose to run a criminal background check on every
applicant before offering a position in the company. This is
particularly important in some industries. A company that makes
airplanes, for example, will probably want to be sure that
employees are not associated with any terrorist groups and that
they have not been involved in any terrorist activities. A
meat-packing plant may run a background check to be sure that
potential employees are not animal rights activists looking to
create issues for the company.

Neighborhood organizations and individuals may also run criminal
background checks on those living in the area. While some say
it’s an invasion of privacy, finding out that a new neighbor has
been arrested for assault or that he (or she) has been involved
in a child abuse case allows the neighbors to be alert. It’s not
possible to always prepare for every possible situation, but
information like this can be what it takes to keep children and
families safer.

So how do you run a criminal background check? You’ll find
plenty of online sites ready to offer the service. Take time to
evaluate the company offering the information before you sign
up. Remember that these checks typically aren’t free, so be sure
of what you’re going to get before you pay. You should also keep
in mind that there are some free online sources of information.
Your state department of corrections may have information if you
know that someone has been in prison, and sex offenders will be
registered with your local police department.

Asian odds decoding techniques

November 27th, 2007

When i’m young i inspired to be a scientist cause i find the
earth is so vast with so many things waiting to be uncovered. As
i grew older i came to realise that infact most scientist are
poor lads who requires heavy funding from the public in their
researching process.currently my this project is focusing on
deciphering asian handicap odds which has been on going for the
past 8 years.

Personally,as a punter myself i find that human is a habitual
being and with that being said they would have a specific trend
of betting stlye or a piece of work.

I have been studying the work of one of the top asian market
odds compilers for close to 8 years. To me they are absolutely
truly the ones with the insider info. They would post their odds
in a specific manner when there is a fixed match and when they
wan’t to lose money to the punters they have another set of
rules of opening odds.

These asian odds would seems nothing more than a mere set of
numbers to most but to me its like an answer sheet right infront
of me.While most people crunches stats and news i read asian
odds for clues, which is much more accurate and less time
consuming. You may find my method obnorxious or even sly.

I call it beating the bookies back at their own games.Consider
this who is better the one who sets the the opening odds or the
punter who crunches stats and soccer news.I must admit i don’t
have the latest insider info but do you think the odds compiler
who opens the line do?Absolutely, they do .

All you need to do is to uncover their style of work and “ting!”
right in front of you lies an answer sheet flat on your face.

The Myth of Fast Weight Loss

November 27th, 2007

Copyright 2005 Arina Nikitina

You will be surprised to find out how many people are actually
looking for a fast weight loss program. Why fast? Well, first of
all, most of us are impatient. We live hectic lives. We want
results now, we want to notice the change right away, and we
don’t want to work hard to achieve those results.

Most people eat what they want all year round, prefer TV over
exercising and dream about how next week (or month/year) they
are going to start a healthy lifestyle. Suddenly one day they
realize that it is just 2 weeks left before they have to go to a
Christmas party or that summer is coming up and they want to
look good in the new bikini. Usually around this time I get
hundreds of emails - all of them pretty much the same “I have
this event coming up in two weeks. I need to lose about 10-15
pounds. What is the fastest way to do it?”

Of course TV and Internet is full of commercials that promise
you to lose 20 pounds in two weeks. They even show you tons of
pictures of fit, smiling people with perfect bodies. Just pop a
magic pill 3 times a day and you will turn into a supermodel
right away. Sounds good, right?

I hate to disappoint you but this is just another scam created
to get your money. There is no such thing as fast weight loss.
I’m sure I’ll get some infuriated replies like “That can’t be
true! My friend Maggie lost 16 pounds in two weeks doing Low
carb diet!” Well you are in for another disappointment. Your
friend didn’t lose any fat. She lost water and muscle.

Human body is a well coordinated working mechanism. It has no
idea that you’ve decided to fit in a size 8 dress and doing some
new fad diet. It thinks you are starving. It’s too concerned
about survival to allow us losing weight fast. Instead your
metabolism slows down to conserve the energy. As soon as you’ll
start eating normal food you’ll gain all of your weight back and
some extra pounds in addition to that.

To make it simple fast weight loss is always followed by fast
weight gain. No exceptions. In addition to that when you lose
weight too fast, your skin does not have enough time to shrink,
it will become loose.

The right amount of weight that the average person can lose in
one week by eating correctly and doing exercises is around 2-3
pounds. That is a healthy, safe, effective amount to lose. Only
that way you can get long lasting results. I know it is not as
fast as many people would like to lose weight, but think about
it how long did it take you to gain weight? I bet you $1000
dollars you didn’t gain 20 pounds in two weeks. It is only
logical, that your body will not allow you to lose 20 pounds in
two weeks. Sorry!

I’m trying to save your money here, so repeat after me “There is
no machine, no special diet, no special workout program, no
special pill or special patch that will help me to lose weight
fast and healthy at the same time”. Repeat it to yourself every
time you have an urge to buy some “quick fix” no matter how
appealing it sounds.

Remember people who have created these commercials are
professionals who know what you would like to hear. Don’t let
them fool you. Just try to eat right and work out. Be
consistent. Make one little step at a time and you’ll be
surprised how far you can actually go.

6 Good Reasons For Writing An eBook

November 27th, 2007

Electronic books also known as ebooks for short are one of the
hottest properties on the Internet. The benefits of writing
an ebook are enormous.

As an Internet business owner, ebooks are powerful tools that
you can use to grow your business. Here are 6 good reasons for
writing an ebook:

(1) Easy to create

Ebooks are fairly easy to create and don’t require any special
knowledge. Basically you can create ebooks in two different
formats ie .exe and .pdf. Ebooks in .exe format can be read
by Window users but not Macintosh computers whereas .pdf formats
can be read by both. You just need Adobe Acrobat Reader to be
able to open pdf files which you can download free at

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

There are a list of ebook compilers available on the market
that you can use to create .exe ebooks and .pdf ebooks.

(2) No big investment needed

Creating an ebook does not require a big investment. I make use
of Activ eBook Compiler to create .exe ebooks. You can try the
software free at http://www.ebookcompiler.com but there
will be ads in your ebook front page when you build it. For an
activation fee, the ads will be removed. This is a nice piece of
software. I really like it and it’s fairly easy to use when you
get accustomed to the software.

To create pdf ebooks, you can go to http://www.gohtm.com/convert_pdf.asp
This is a free web based service that you can use to convert your
word documents and other file formats to pdf documents.

(3) Developing your own paid product

If you know how to build your own ebook, you can easily create your
own product to make real money. You just need to write what you
know about. The Internet is a highway of information and you need
to create a product which focus on a specific topic. Basically
there is a huge potential for creating your own information products
and there is an infinite number of topics you can write about.

Not just topics related to internet marketing and online business
but other themes like cooking, gardening, pets etc. Now these are
niche topics and if you have knowledge in these areas, you can
easily create an info product in a digital format like an ebook
talking about this.

(4) Fast and instant delivery

A big advantage with ebooks is that the delivery process is fast
and instant. You don’t need product shipping for you don’t have
any physical inventory due to the fact that an ebook is purely
digital. You can give an unlimited number of copies to your
customers.

(5) Subscriber generation

If you can create your own ebooks, why not create a useful ebook
packed with quality information, then offer it as a bonus or gift
to generate new subscribers to your newsletter. This is an
attractive incentive to gain new subscribers.

(6) Viral Marketing Effects

Good ebooks can become your own traffic machine and it can has a
viral marketing effect. By viral, I mean it can propagate across
the Internet, hence your business can get big exposure for your
ebook contains links to your websites.

Say you create an ebook packed with great articles that you’ve
written and you allow others to distribute it freely to their own
susbcribers to give them quality information, or to get new
subscribers, your ebook and business will have great exposure.
If you have a quality ebook, some product owners might even use
it as a bonus to add more value to their offer.

Ebooks are becoming more and more popular on the Internet these
days for there is a huge potential to build a successful online
business around them. So go ahead and start creating your own
ebooks be it free or paid.

Depression from Bodybuilding

November 26th, 2007

How could bodybuilding cause depression? Afterall, bodybuilding is supposed to get the endorphins going and as you see positive progress, you feel good about yourself. With all those endorphins running around, there shouldn’t be even the slightest case for depression.

For the most part, lifting weights, doing aerobic exercises and overall physical activity can be very effective to keep depression away and help with a cheerful outlook. Although sometimes things don’t always come out the way we expect them to and our mood can swing up and down, even with proper exercise.

Ask anyone that exercises and they’ll time you the time spent is worth it. But if depression hits while doing these things already, the depression can be really hard to shake.

Let me show you some of the symptoms. Anyone that’s lifted weights for a period of time has hit that proverbial “wall” where it just feels like you can’t make any progress. Or sometimes there can be a period of time where one feels “burnt out” or just tired of lifting weights. If these feelings last longer than three weeks, these could be signs of depression.

Fortunately, I’ve talked to lots of bodybuilders and found something that may offer a quick “real” solution. If you’re feeling tired, unexplained sadness, or you don’t want to work out or you just feel like you’re not making any progress in the gym, this may be the answer you’re looking for.

In my research on how to overcome bodybuilding induced depression, I uncovered a supplement called Vinpocetine. It is known for helping mental concentration and is a derivative of an extract taken from the lesser periwinkle plant (Vinca minor), an evergreen undershrub. The shrub is native to Europe, where it has been been studied since the 1950s and has been found to boost stroke- and age-related declines in brain function.

Vinpocetine also enhances the brain’s use of oxygen by increasing the amount of available ATP (adenosine triphosphate, those in bodybuilding are familiar with this as being the body’s cellular fuel). So far, there hasn’t been any serious side effects found with this supplement, however if you feel a dry mouth, continued weakness or accelerated heart rate, then discontinue the use as you may have a more serious condition requiring expert medical care.

What I found in my research is that vinpocetine works well in conjunction with vincamine and vinburnine (both are also extracts). It has been noted that these help with cognitive function to enhance memory and concentration.

As a result of this, it appears that these help the brain to feel “peppy” and thereby reduce the effects of depression. That’s what it did for me.

My purpose in writing this is not to endorse any single product but to let you know that there is a supplement that costs less than a single visit to the doctor, yet has the right amount of vinpocetine (and vincamine and vinburnine) and it helps with other functions of bodybuilding and muscle development. It is called NO-Xplode from BSN. I’m sure there’s other supplements out there that have the vinpocetine, you’d have to do some checking around.

I really like NO type products, and my first choice is NO2 by MRI and then the Trac-Extreme NO by MHP (both can be found at General Nutrition Center).

But if I start getting that “burned out” or sad feeling, I’ll buy some NO-Xplode (one container will last me over a month) and I’ll have a scoop once a day in the early afternoon. That seems to help me feel more cheerful.

So… if you’re doing good workouts and yet start to feel burned out, tired, sad or depressed, try some vinpocetine and see what happens. This article is not meant to replace medical advice. If you feel any prolonged symptoms for a lengthy period of time, see your medical professional. Copyright 2005, all rights reserved.

With the recent bans on steroids and pro-hormones, it’s time to look at alternatives to steroids that still get muscle building effects without harmful side effects. Real Estate 3 – Rise Of The Machine

November 26th, 2007

As a real estate Agent, I have witnessed personally over the years the industry constantly and continuously changing and rejuvenating itself. Changes have stemmed out of improved technologies, different consumers and an overhaul of our entire lifestyle, especially here on the West Coast. People expectations are different today, both in terms of the services sought and products demanded. Expectations are so different, in fact, they have impacted even the engineering and architectural aspects of real estate.

Not too long ago the Strategic Issues Subcommittee (SIS) of the American National Realtors Association was asked to identify the top trends influencing changes in the industry, as well as to give a futuristic outlook of what the real estate landscape will look like a few years to come, both in the United States and in Canada. Their findings are extremely interesting, both from a professional viewpoint as well as from the social sciences perspective. Ultimately real estate is a “people’s business”, and the following major factors speak volume about how we are all going to think and act. Here they are.

[ ] Changing consumers values and behaviors

The very concept of family is changing. Family has been instrumental to the creation of all human civilizations throughout the centuries, but this pivotal knot is going to be entirely different. No more Dad, Mom and two kids. An ever increasing number of people will be living alone or as a couple at the most. The general trend throughout Western societies is not to have children, and this trend will be more remarked in times to come.

‘Home Sweet Home’ will change too. Our children will be living mostly outside, and will not require large homes or, for that matter, large apartments. The one-bedroom and den will be the standard fare a few years down the road. On the other hand, consumers of tomorrow will be increasingly technically competent, will want to have access to all sort of information - products, financing, services - and will be ‘decision-independent’, meaning they will be more than capable of making their own decision as to which real estate product they will buy. The time of the stereotypical pushy, hard-selling real estate agent trying to shove a house down consumers’ throats will be a thing of the past (it already is, as a matter of fact).

[ ] Diverse approach to the home transaction.

The financial impact of buying real estate will continue to be the primary consideration. Consumers will increasingly look at their home purchase as just another facet of their overall financial picture, pretty much the way they look today at stock and bond investments. Price, in fact, will supersede emotion. No more purchases dictated by the impromptu feeling of the moment. Tomorrow’s buyer will be cold and calculated, and will buy only if it makes financial sense to do so. He/she will hardly fall in love with the product, even if for their own use. As such, our progenies will have no time for household chores: carpet cleaning, window cleaning, gutter cleaning will all be carried out by specialized companies or strata management companies as in the case of apartments.

[ ] The Realtor and the rise of the machine.

Consumers, both buyers and sellers, will have their own access to data from a variety of sources, but mostly from the Internet. As they will be technically skilled and computer proficient, the Realtor will no longer be seen as the primary source of real estate information. Instead the Realtor will function as an interpreter of information, both relating to products as well as to the workings of real estate, especially financing.

Realtors, moreover, will be required to be very skilled at negotiating. In essence they will function pretty much like ambassadors. It will not be only a matter of writing and presenting offers: they will be required to explain the rationale behind the offers they write. They will also be required to explain why offers have not been accepted and to provide solutions.

[ ] Entry of large-scale financial institutions.

This will probably be the largest single change in the industry. Banks will no longer be only lenders. They will become suppliers of real estate as well. With their large working capital, branch networks and back-end technology solutions they will at one time step into the industry and build, finance and sell their own real estate products with and through their own Realtors.

They will do it on a catalogue basis, so to speak. Just as you can walk into Sears today and order a vacuum cleaner on catalogue, you will be able to walk into a bank tomorrow and order a house on catalogue, perhaps a house not yet built. Pull out your own credit-card size computerized ID, and in the same branch you can view the schematics, order the interior decor, sign the offer, get the financing all set up, order the appraisal, request the lawyer, sign the warranties and I’ll bet by the time you are finished about an hour later, they will give a bottle of champagne before you walk out the door, too !

A world of change is awaiting on us all. Everything will be different: vehicles, clothing, technology … why not real estate. Doesn’t all this make you feel old already ? You are not alone.

8 Secrets To Conquering The Internet

November 25th, 2007

While some marketers struggle for years to earn enough money to
pay the bills, others zoom to the top, their sites exploding
with traffic and their in-boxes flooded with order and payment
statements. Why? How do these marketers differ from the rest?
Are they smarter? Braver? Do they invest more wisely or have
more money to invest? Do they know the right people?

No. In fact, there’s only one real differencde between them and
the rest of the internet marketing community. In a word:
Attitude.

They aren’t intimidated by the internet — they eat it for
breakfast. Like ancient conquerors, they plunge into the vast
sea of the internet, heedless of its tempermental storms,
jutting their jaws at the giant terrors that it holds while the
rest of us shiver on the shores, barely daring to get our toes
wet.

Of course they’ve been knocked down, beaten back and have the
scars to prove it. But with each beating, their determination
only strengthens and, as the sting of defeat fades, they learn
from their mistakes. Most of all, they never, ever give up and
never question their resolve. They will make it or die trying.

Thinking like a conqueror: THIS is the first and most elemental
step to becoming one. Because of this, they take swift, decisive
action, they reach out and grab what they want and they don’t
take “no” for an answer.

Okay. Great. But what does this mean to the average person? Can
anyone be an internet conqueror or do they have to be born that
way?

CONQUERORS ARE MADE, NOT BORN Attitude is everything. Attitude
influences thinking patterns, which decides a course of action
which, ultimately, leads to success or failure. Like the old
saying goes, “the only true failure is the one who gives up.”
And the ones who give up don’t have the attitude to continue on.

So attitude is the #1 secret to conquering the internet. Below
is all 8 secrets, some of which may shock those still cringing
at the shoreline. It’s not necessary to do all of them, if
indeed that’s even possible since each can become quite
demanding. And these are not all-inclusive, since there are
probably new and better ways coming out every day. But each
demonstrates the difference in attitude and thinking of a
marketer and an internet Conqueror.

1. ATTITUDE Marketers follow once the way has been cleared.
Conquerors forge ahead.

2. CREATE A PRESENCE Marketers tend to stay in the background,
creating pages and adding their links, but never making
themselves available to the general public. Conquerors create a
specific “presence”, a personality that distinguishes them from
others. This attracts attention, which also attracts sales. They
do this by…

3. START AN ORIGINAL NEWSLETTER Marketers read newsletters;
Conquerors write them. If this seems daunting, begin it as a
blog with an RSS Feed. Do NOT use a pre-written system or import
other’s content. The key is to create something unique that
cannot be duplicated.

4. PUBLISH AN EBOOK Marketers read ebooks; Conquerors write
them. It doesn’t have to be very long, just original and
informative. If this seems like too much, start by publishing
articles. Once 10-15 articles have been written, re-write them
into one cohesive collection.

5. START AN ARTICLE SUBMISSION SITE Marketers submit articles;
Conquerors run the submission sites. Again, this software is
available, in some cases, for free. By doing this, both authors
and newsletters come to the Conquerors’ site, instead of vise
versa.

6. START A FORUM Marketers go to forums; Conquerors create
forums and draw others to them. The key to this is finding a
niche that has no forum and starting one. There are programs
that offer free forum programs on the internet. But be prepared
to set policy and moderate the forum, as well as promote it.

7. CREATE A SEARCH ENGINE Marketers submit to search engines;
Conquerors run them. Again, the software is available online.
There are even some that, to some extent are self-automated. The
only set up involved is writing a simple letter to the
submission services, asking that they include your site in their
listings.

8. CREATE A HOMEPAGE Marketers have a home page; Conquerors
provide them. A home page may require a bit more set up,
bandwidth and maintenance than other options but, by creating a
home page, a conqueror draws regular visitors to themselves and
a revenue source for posting ads.

There is a recurring theme in each of these examples. That is,
to do something which organically attracts visitors. So the
final difference? Marketers run after visitors; Conquerors
attract visitors to them.–mo

Baby Sleep Tips - Making Your Baby Comfortable

November 25th, 2007

Often, it seems fairly random whether or not babies sleep well. New parents will often discuss how they were simply “lucky” with one child as opposed to another. While it is true that in many cases how your child sleeps is largely out of your control, there remains many baby sleep tips you can employ to encourage better sleeping habits. One of the most important is to ensure that your baby is comfortable when he goes to sleep.

Bedtime is a transitional period for your child, and your efforts to make him sleep better should revolve around getting him to learn to sleep on his own. One of the most important elements of achieving this is to create an environment where your baby is as comfortable as possible. For this reason, the before-bed routine should always consist of changing and feedings - the worst thing for a baby, in terms of sleeping well, is to be in want of something when he is put to bed.

You should also be trying to make your baby as physically comfortable as possible when putting him to sleep. One of the most commonly overlooked aspects of this is allowing your baby to breathe easily through the nose. Most people, but especially babies, depend on clear nasal passages for a good night’s sleep. It’s important to remove all airborne allergens in the baby’s nursery: everything should be well dusted, and you should keep dust collecting items - like fuzzy blankets and stuffed animals - to a minimum. When your baby is very young it takes time for him to learn to breathe through his mouth, so you must carefully pay attention to his nasal breathing when putting him to sleep. If you notice the problem is persistent, you may benefit from installing an air filter in the room that is designed to remove dust particles and allergens - this also has the added bonus of creating a soothing hum that will help many babies sleep better.

You should also pay particular attention to your baby’s clothing. All babies are different in terms of their preferences, and you have to watch them closely. In many cases, things that look comfortable to you - very snug outfits, for example - may not be comfortable for your particular baby. Try both tight and loose fitting clothes and see which ones your baby seems to prefer.

Finally, consider how well your baby sleeps with wet diapers. Most babies will sleep well through the night with a wet diaper, but some will not. If this is the case, you can often solve your baby’s sleeping difficulties by giving him a change in the night.

The main thing to keep in mind in terms of your babies comfort is to pay close attention, and to trust your instincts. Although it is tempting to follow guides and stick to hard and fast rules, remember that the adage “mother knows best” is generally true. So if your baby seems uncomfortable in his clothes, don’t hesitate to change him into something that doesn’t “look” as comfortable. If you trust your own judgments over those of guides in terms of your baby’s comfort, it’s likely that he will sleep much better.
