Priorities for ECommerce

March 29th, 2008

The imprtance of providing what a customer wants can never be underesimated when it comes to online buying and selling. Once a website has been created, it fits into two basic categories. Those are information and ecommerce sites. Both types of website have a great deal in common, one of which is to gain the maximum amount of viewers who have an interest in the information or products provided.

However, there are numerous ways in which the website owner can attract visitors, and these have to be prioritised so as to provide the maximum benefit to the end user. Firstly, the site needs to be attractive to the viewer, with a balanced blend of colour, and an appealing layout. Each section of the website should be easy to navigate from one area to another, and absolute clarity throughout the pages regarding what is being portrayed.

Having designed the site in an appealing way, the next issue is the content. Many websites fail to provide either adequate content or indeed content of the right type. Many thousands of new websites are added to the internet each month, and so the choice for internet users is enormous. It is therefore more important each day that passes, that a website offers a distinct presentation and content.

The number one priority for any ecommerce website, is the customer. If the customer is innovated by what he or she sees, and feels that the site either is, or can be, of use to them, then success can be measured by return visits aswell as time spent on the site using the information available, and making purchases. It is extremely important to provide what a customer is searching for. Otherwise, the opportunity is lost, as the next website is only a click away!

An ecommerce website can be considered as a shopfront, except that there are two major differences. One is that the shopper does not have to walk out into the cold to look at another shop, and the other is that the products cannot be physically touched. Because of this, it is most important to present the product in the most beneficial way possible, leaving no room for ambiguity regarding what the product is, how much it costs, and how they can obtain it as quickly as possible.

Providing a clear set of terms and conditions, privacy policy, returns policy where applicable, together with information on the Company presenting the website, will add to the overall positive impression that people will have.

The viewing public quite likely have not taken into account just how much time is spent creating a website, promoting it, ensuring it is running efficiently, aswell as customer services, accounts, staff and all of the other things that running a business entails. Neither should they be concerned with these issues, as their time is spent perusing the internet, searching for what is of interest to them. Making a customer feel relaxed, and enjoy the experience of browsing your website, is the ultimate reward.

It is always best to be clear and concise, provide good content, and an easily navigable website. However, if the site can provide goods or services that are of use, are appealing, and are value for money, then these together with a well thought out presentation, will ensure eventual success, as in any commercial business.

To Upgrade or Not?

March 29th, 2008

To upgrade or not? That is the question. At least, since the release of the new Athlon 64 FX-57, that is the question I have been pondering. Even though the FX-55, (which I am currently running), was everything I had hoped it would be, is the new FX-57 that much better? Well let’s take a look.

The Athlon 64 FX-57 has an increased clock speed of 200 MHz bringing it to 2.8 GHz, up from the 2.6 GHz found in the FX-55. AMD didn’t stop there though, they added a few extras to improve performance.

The chip’s core is actually based on a revised K8 core code named San Diego (1 MB L2 cache), which bring’s the size of the chip’s die down to 90 nm from 130 nm. this is made possible by building the chip on AMD’s latest SOI (Silicon and Insulator) technology.

The FX-57 has an improved memory controller, making it more flexible in terms of allowing you to use different size DIMM’s on the same channel.

So is the FX-57 fast? It’s screaming fast, but is it an enough of an improvement to warrent an upgrade? Well that depends a little on you. If you have to have the latest and greatest then this is the processor for you.

With a $1000+ price tag, I would be willing to say that the Athlon 64 FX-57 is a little too pricey for most mainstream users or enthusiasts (myself included). Especially if you just dropped $800-$900 on an FX-55 just six months ago like I did.

One other factor to consider is the future direction of processors. With an industry shift to dual-core processors, such as the Athlon 64 X2, the Athlon 64 FX-57 may be AMD’s last installment in the single core processor market.

Now having said that, the FX-57 still out-performs (in terms of gaming) even the fastest dual-core processor such as the Athlon 64 X2 4800+. This is largely due to the fact that most games are not built to take advantage of a dual-core processor, not yet anyway.

So for the time being, the FX-57 will remain the fastest gaming processor on the market.

The BOMBASTIC method for selling 1,000,000 e-books per year!!!

March 29th, 2008

Make the math, if you can sell 1,000,000 of any stuff each year,
you are more probably than not a millionaire, further more if
you are selling something as intangible as e-books. Can I
guarantee you will be selling this amount this year? No. Nobody
can guarantee you such thing, but with the information that you
will find on this article and on my website, you can really
dramatically increase the amount of e-books that you sell each
year. I will reveal you hidden secrets used by best seller
authors. They have been using them for years to rake in the huge
profits. I will reveal you all the secrets for FREE right here
and right now on this same article. Even if you have never
written any book about any subject, you will feel inclined to do
so when you realize the income potential of just writing a
simple book. I will tell you how to write a book in a few hours
even if you don’t have perfect writing skills, don’t know a lot
of English, have poor grammar skills, don’t know anything about
any subject or you consider yourself to be a complete idiot.
Anyone can profit from this industry. Of course if you have
previous education and have expert knowledge on a vast amount of
subjects, you incur in the possibility to increase your profits
exponentially with what you are about to learn.

The industry of e-books has been emerging on the Internet
lately. The purpose of the Internet is to educate, to entertain
and to provide methods for people to communicate with each other
on a more effective way. So people usually turn to the Internet
looking for something: information. They arrive to their
computer screens hungry for information, starving to find what
they don’t find anywhere else. Some need money, others need sex,
others need something else. I will explain you how important it
is what I just mentioned for your business ventures, your
e-commerce and your e-books. People turn to the Internet looking
for information, fun, to satisfy an unsatisfied need (like sex),
or communication (to chat with others, email, etc). That’s
basically it. Now how can you implement that knowledge into your
business life and how can you profit from it? It is very simple.
Let’s say that you find a problem (they are everywhere anyway so
you won’t have a hard time finding one), and you find a solution
for that problem, check what’s next. You can charge a reasonable
low fee and you will have millions of persons from all around
the world paying you for the information that you have that can
solve their problems. Some people just find nothing and start
selling the garbage that they say they have. They scam out an
unfortunate few out of their money. These are the unsuccessful
businessmen. You need to get residual income from your products.
You need to get word of mouth advertisement. You need to sell
valuable info so you can refer your buyer to other products and
keep selling to them. If you sell something valuable to someone
and that person is very happy with his purchase you will end up
not only selling to him, but also to his family members, closed
friends, business partners. Suddenly you won’t know where the
money is coming from, but you will know that it is coming in
fast and in big quantities.

If you target the right market and use the marketing techniques
that I reveal bellow, you won’t even have to expend a dime on
advertising. It will be an easy ride. You will receive residual
income for a long time. That means you create something once and
you profit from it time after time, without doing anything else.
Do you start to see the profit potential of creating your own
e-books? This also applies to other intangible products that let
you earn leveraged and residual income.

Target your market sell to people that want to buy what you are
selling. If you want to focus on the profits, then focus on the
people. Ask what they want. If what you want is to sell e-books
on the Internet, then you don’t need to ask I will tell you what
they want. They mainly want free information, to have fun, to
get laid, to become rich fast, to share ideas and to communicate
with others. You might think that what I mentioned above has
nothing to do with selling e-books or that it may be hard to
profit from it. Understand that people rarely get in the
Internet with the idea of buying something, they want all of
what I mentioned above and they want it for free. So if you are
selling them something, make sure your stuff doesn’t bore them,
otherwise they will just leave and never return. Sell products
related to what people are looking for. You might be able to
sell one thousand e-books about how to feed a horse, but if what
you want is fast and easy profits then focus on selling what
will catch the attention of the majority of people. Everyone
wants to make more money. Find a good business, which generates
good profits, and write about it. You may end up making more
money from the sale of your books than from the business itself.
Let’s take for example the real estate option contract. Let’s
take this subject as an example. Option contracts are used to
control real estate without buying the properties. If you are a
real estate investor and you know how to handle real estate
transactions, you will be able to profit big time not only from
this kind of real estate transactions, but also many others.
Anyway the point is that with you real estate dealings you will
have limited and not leveraged income. You have to wake up, go
out find the deals, talk to the people, call the people, have
them sign the contracts, find the buyers, arrange the deals, put
gas on your car, buy new cloth to impress your buyers, keep in
mind your local and real estate laws. It sounds kind of
complicated isn’t? I am not saying that you won’t rake in huge
profits from real estate negotiations, all I am saying is that
your income potential is limited.

Now if you buy a book about how to make money with real estate
options for example, that’s basically all you will be doing,
writing a book. Then if you use the techniques that I reveal to
you bellow, you will market the product with wisdom and you will
be receiving dollar after dollar for many years to come.
Quantity is not as important as quality. If what you create is
useful, people will keep buying.

Now how can you come up with a creative idea powerful enough as
to write a book about it and have others happily paying for it
and even referring others to your offer? The answer is the
Internet itself. Information is out there in big quantities, but
sometimes is hidden; you have to look hard to find it. Other
times is not very hidden, it is almost right there in front of
everybody, it is just that most people don’t have the time or
patience to search what they are looking for. Many persons
prefer to pay $30.00 for an informational product than to spend
8-10 hours looking for that information. Then you find the info
for them and then you offer it for an exceptional low cost. Some
really hard to find information can retail for much more than
$30.00. Just try to give your buyers something that exceeds in
use value what they are paying you. This means that they may pay
$50.00 or more for your book that if it can really make them
money, they will be very happy with their purchase. If you sell
them junk, they will feel very angry and upset and they will
fight back and ask for refunds.

We are living on the era of information. Everything is
information and communication nowadays. Are you taking advantage
of the opportunities that life is offering? Can you afford to do
something so simple for the opportunity to make a lot of money?
Everyone knows something about something that others don’t know
much about it. Did you hear that? You can start writing about a
subject that you are well familiarized with so it will be easier
for you. But never forget that are subjects that catches the
attention of the majority of persons like money, sex, and fun.
You can make more money with your sex book about how to give the
ultimate orgasm, than with a porn website. There are zillions of
porn websites out there and most of them have similar content.
If you are capable of creating something different, unique,
marvelous, new, and interesting, people will buy it in huge
amounts. Also think about this, search engines do not read
images, they read words. The search engine robots, which are
called the spider, can only read text. Websites that consists
only of images have to trick the search engine often times to
get higher rank and attract more visitors. But if your website
have sex-related words not images, you will get high rankings on
the search engine easily and you will be selling something that
people are desperately looking for. Remember that sex remains
the number one keyword on most search engines today.

So your tasks are easy and your life dramatically changes when
you do this. You start earning more and more income. You receive
residual and leveraged profits. You just create simple
informational products and have others advertise them and
collect the payments for you. Isn’t that amazing. There are
companies today that specialize in attracting affiliates. These
affiliates are willing to advertise and promote your products as
long as you agree to share a portion of your profits with them.
The fact is that because you have zero cost, you have virtually
no risk. If they are able to bring in huge profits for you, why
won’t you share a small portion of that gain with them? There
are literally thousands of affiliates out there willing to sell,
market and promote your products. The companies that bring those
affiliates to you deal with paying them their commissions, and
paying you your royalties. They do all the “hard work”. You just
sit back and relax. So let’s summarize it. You write a book, you
have thousands of people marketing it, you have a company
collecting all the payments for you, the company send you a
check, your buyers purchase directly from your website so the
process is automatic. Everything is automatic. You are on the
beach drinking soda and scrutinizing the beauty of that exotic
bird that just landed in front of you, you are eating your
delicious lobster while suddenly BANG!!! - BANG!!! BANG!!! You
made another sale, and another, and another, and another and it
never stop happening. You arrive home to check your account and
-sweet!- more money $3,895.45. For a “work” that you did two
years ago? And how often does this happen? Every week of your
life? Thank you God, thank you USA, thank you Internet!

The Ten Pillars of Leadership and Business Development

March 29th, 2008

Leadership is any influence relationship that brings about
change…this can be a teacher/student relationship, a
parent/child relationship, a politician/citizen relationship, a
business owner/employee relationship, a community
leader/volunteer relationship and peer/peer relationship. These
ten guiding principles can support leaders in becoming trusted
by their followers and for withstanding the challenges of
today’s ever-changing world.

(1) Leaders must be willing to be highly visible during crisis.

Enron, WorldCom and Martha Stewart…Their greed and fraud have
further eroded trust in people around the world, and as a
result, corporations and business owners are now operating with
a brand new set of rules. Building trust requires a special
effort on behalf of the CEO or Business Owner to communicate
openly, honestly, and often…especially during crisis or tough
times. During a crisis, the stakeholders want to hear from their
leader…they don’t want to hear from his or her spokesperson.
They not only want to hear from the person at they top…they want
to engage in open communication that involves the sharing of
information and ideas, and they want to know that their voice
has been heard. During turbulent times, it is important to take
advantage of all types of opportunities for communication,
including open forums, task forces, breakfast meetings, the
media, one on one meetings, and stakeholder surveys. More formal
forms of communication strategies include the 360 degree
feedback assessment or a full communications audit (which may
take 2-6 months to complete.) The goal is to communicate openly
and often and to continue assessing your communications program
every day to insure that a culture of trust is being maintained.

(2) Leaders must be willing to take a stand- based on their
vision and their values.

This does not happen in a vacuum…leaders must be willing to
admit that they need strong support from an executive coach or a
strong mentor who can guide them to doing the tough internal
work required to shift their thinking and to get off the ego
trip that many leaders live . They must be willing to carefully
explore their values and how they can move their companies in
the direction of a vision that is unwavering. This takes
boldness, and a leader’s stand must be nailed into the ground
and secured with cement…the stand must be so strong that the
leader does not become “wishy-washy” during tough times and in
the face of controversy. Consistency is key, and the leader must
know and believe in his or her stand on a very deep level…from
the heart…not because the public relations director or Chief
of Staff told him or her what to do or say. This is a genuine
stand that is driven by the leader’s authentic value system that
never changes.

(3) Leaders must be willing to be fully engaged with the four
focus areas of their being: physically, emotionally, mentally
and spiritually.

These areas of being must also be congruent with the leader’s
environment. Leaders of today must be willing to be fully
engaged…physically fit, emotionally balanced, mentally tough,
and spiritually centered. Leading a strong life is a quest that
many leaders run from, because it can be tough, but it is
crucial if he/she wants to engage followers in a way that is
trusting. I cannot help but think about Tiger Woods when I think
about leaders being fully engaged. He is an example of a world
leader who is a model of what I am describing. His body is fit,
his mind is sharp, his emotions are solid, and his spiritual
presence is inspiring. He is being followed by young men from
all corners of the world and viewed as an inspiring model and
mentor in the world of golf.

In addition to strengthening the four areas of being, leaders
must be willing to create a strong environment…one that is
congruent with leading a strong life. The environment must be
clean, clutter-free and optimized for speed, efficiency, and
effectivness. The people and network surrounding the leader must
be moving forward and fundamentally strong, and the activities
leaders choose must point to a life that is built for change and
is rock solid. If the environment is not congruent with the
goals a leader seeks, her resources, energy, and effectiveness
will become drained over time, and people will no longer be
willing and loyal followers. They will seek a stronger leader to
turn to for direction and hope.

(4) Leaders must be willing to build deep pockets of social
capital by designing a network based on diversity.

In the book “Achieving Success through Social Capital”, author
Wayne Baker advocates the building of networks based on
diversity, In chapter 2, he states: “Diversity provides the
benefits of multiple perspectives on problems, protection
against groupthink, and enhanced ability to collect, process,
and digest information. Management teams with members from
diverse functional background, for example, perform better than
homongenous management teams.” Building a diverse network is a
crucial step in leaders being able to build a strong business
and personal life. It is not uncommon to see leaders develop
homongenous networks…known commonly as cliques. This is a
dangerous approach, because the network does not develop the
arms and legs it needs to reach the four corners of the globe,
to get the resources and knowledge it needs, and it can actually
cave in on itself, pulling the company down with it. By reaching
into different cultures, ages, geographical locations,
educational backrounds, and belief systems, leaders can build
networks that will yield the biggest results and that will be
sustainable over time.

(5) Leaders must be willing to overcome the growing tide of
cynicism in the business world and define an upbeat style of
leadership.

In the article “A Prescription for Leading in Cynical Times”
authors James Kouzes and Barry Posner, authors of the Leadership
Challenge discuss this in detail. Cynics are evident in every
company in the world. They usually believe that human conduct is
motivated by self- interest, and they have a disbelief about the
integrity of others. They have high expectations of the world,
and they are continually disappointed when the people in their
lives don’t meet those expectations. To begin working with this
challenge, leaders must be willing to drop their own cynical
“The World Stinks” attitude and develop the qualities that
others say are important to leadership such as integrity,
competency, the ability to relate, visioning, inspiration and
the drive the build a thriving and cohesive team.

(6) Leaders must be willing to push the edges of innovation.

I want to begin by talking about the difference between
innovation and creativity. William Coyne, senior vice president
for R&D at 3M once described the difference: “Creativity is
thinking of new and appropriate ideas whereas innovation is the
successful implementation of those ideas within an organization.
In other words creativity is the concept and innovation is the
process.” Innovation always involves treading into uncertain
waters, and entering a new territory can be challenging, even
for the most creative of thinkers. Yet falling behind can be a
great deal worse than taking the risk to stretch and grow into
new markets with new ventures. If companies are to move into the
future, leaders must be willing to push the edges of innovation
each and every day. Executing an experimental venture requires
planning, and it requires revisiting ideas that your company may
have put on the shelf years ago, and whose time has now come. It
is about zeroing in on the best possible strategy, discovering
what systems are needed and what processes will be required to
get the job done and to come out on the profit side of the
venture. Your new offering should meet the demands of your
customers and should be an improvement over the way things are
currently being done. As Nike says “Just Do It.” Start today to
begin the process of innovation, and see what comes about for
the future of your company…you may just be surprised!

(7) Leaders must be willing to show their employees that they
love and care for them.

There is one truth in life that I firmly believe: With the
showing of love and concern, people begin to feel wonderful and
more worthy, and their productivity will triple in an
environment that is loving. The book “Love is the Killer App” by
Tim Sanders focuses on what it takes to create a true “Love Biz”
by the giving and showing of compassion, resources, and
knowledge without the expectation of anything in return. People
will do business with people they like, and this “Love Cat” way
of doing business often strikes an uncomfortable chord with
leaders who are insecure about their own abilities or who view a
show of love, empathy, and compassion as a sign of weakness.
People have to know on a very deep level that their leaders care
about them, their future, and their growth. With this loving
approach to leading, the talent in organizations will grow, and
a sense of self confidence and commitment will inspire
individuals at every level of the company.

(8) Leaders must be willing to listen to the grapevine and then
build a sense of community based on what he/she hears in the
grapevine.

One of my favorite leaders in my local community is Dan Landis,
the Director of Sales and Marketing for St. Joseph of the Pines,
a life care community in North Carolina. He is one leader who I
see as truly being bold…he actively places himself every day in
the middle of the firing line. He spends much of his day talking
to residents, sitting down and eating lunch with them, and
stopping them in the hall to simply ask “How are you…What can I
do for you today? What are the problems you are having? How can
I help? ” He does not stop with the residents. He goes on to
exercise this same approach with employees of St. Joseph of the
Pines. Dan is a leader who is developing a very deep
understanding of the collective issues and desires of the
customers of St. Joseph of the Pines…both the employees and the
residents. He is building a sense of community based on shared
values, and he is taking people to places they have never been
before. Not only does he listen…he acts, bringing quick
solutions to the problems he hears and the desires he knows are
in the hearts of the people he leads.

Every company has a grapevine, and it is not uncommon for
companies to have a grapevine that spreads negative messages,
complaints, and rumors. These messages and rumors can seriously
undermine the morale of any company. Leaders must be willing to
do as Dan Landis does…listen to the grapevine, and use it as a
feedback mechanism to highlight key issues that customers and
employees consider relevant enough to whisper about at the water
fountain and in the community. Leaders can also use the
grapevine to monitor which employees and customers are more
likely to pass information along, so that the impact of the
grapevine can be reduced.

(9) Leaders must be devoted to continuous improvement.

Leadership development is mandatory for CEOs and Executive Team,
but it is also a necessary part of training for every person in
the organization. So many business leaders of today see
leadership development as “fluff” and “soft” but the truth of
the matter is that leadership development can improve bottom
line profits and productivity. By listening to an employee who
is on the front line, and acknowledging her value, a leader can
create loyal internal customers and can bring innovative ideas
to the table which can grow a company by leaps and bounds. By
strengthening team communication, a leader can create a sense of
purpose, loyalty, and long-term commitment to the organization.
One thing to know about leadership development is this: Leaders
must not ask her followers to do what she is not willing to do.
. Many leaders will hire training for their company and will
then refuse to attend the training because they “don’t need it
or think they are beyond it.” This is, in my opinion, completely
out of integrity. The leader must first be a model of what is
expected in the area of training, development, and improvement,
and must be willing to fully participate in a training that the
front line is asked to attend. The leader must develop a culture
that sends the message that leadership development is not
another undesirable task but a new and fresh way to go about
work.

(10) Leaders must have a plan.

The late Christopher Reeve once said “If you don’t have a
vision, nothing happens.” Strategic planning is about the future
impact of decisions made today, and leaders must have a plan
that examines the necessities of today and tomorrow in light of
the organization’s vision, mission, values and goals. It is not
uncommon to find organizations that either don’t have a strong
strategic plan, or they have a plan that is sitting on a shelf
collecting dust. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Leaders
must realize that to fully implement change, to satisfy
customers, and to promote teamwork from the top to the bottom of
the organization, strategic changes must be made that are driven
by a clearly articulated vision, mission, and purpose. Once the
strategic plan is written, leaders can then take the steps
necessary to insure that all stakeholders are in alignment with
the strategic plan and that they are moving cohesively in the
direction of fulfilling the vision and mission of the company.
Many organizations will buy a “canned strategic plan” written by
an expensive consulting company, and they will try to fit their
round peg in the square hole of the canned plan. This is a BIG
MISTAKE! Leaders need to understand that the strategic plan is a
collaborative process implemented by key stakeholders in the
company, and the CEO or Business Owner must be involved in this
process. With a strong commitment and an experienced strategic
planning coach or facilitator, a company can create a solid plan
which meets the needs and demands of all stakeholders.

London Hotels

March 28th, 2008

You can find distinctive and different varieties of hotel which our capital city has to visit. Certain hotels are as good as each other but will have differing things to offer, so you’ll have to be unambiguous about what you’re trying to find. Do you need to be pampered, sup on afternoon tea someplace extraordinary or maybe purely delight in a few rare days and nights off and relax in splendid lodgings?

Besides ritzy locations to occupy, are those crazy new hotels. These are starting to become increasingly abundant & are presently not gigantic as they were at one time. These days there are quite a few spots that one may find them in, e.g. Soho, Notting Hill & Knightsbridge, although they have a handful of more completed in the near future. The Soho Hotel currently is the most famous example. What makes this establishment memorable & individual is that the facilities are phenomenal. It is up there with the elite plushy & fresh residences where you can stop over at - that is if you are able to order yourself a bedroom, a thing that currently is formidable. The place comes with ninety one rooms, suites & apartments and all of them are personally designed. A handful of the amenities constitute a cinema, private events rooms, a beauty centre and a gymnasium; you will never get apathetic at this particular place.

A smattering of of the more traditional hotels are some of the finest the city has on offer. Claridges, The Ritz and The Savoy are just a handful of of these, and all of them have been with us from the the Victorian days, even if most of these have benefited from a lot of restoration love and attention but they still hold stacks of their genuine characteristics. Such places were made to measure establishments and were a few of the rare locations that afforded a fantastic measure of luxury. Read more about London hotels with Time Out!

Nowadays these famous residences are even these days some of the pre-eminent in the city and the most well known. A moderate night in any one of the aforementioned hotels will cost you in the vicinity 2 hundred and seventy pounds & the price is merely for a standard bedroom. The Claridges comes with another bonus which neither of the other hotels benefit from - an awesome restaurant held by Gordon Ramsey following the traits of building itself and defines charm with great eating and cracking service.

The trend currently looks to be fresh boutique hotels, and our capital presently contains a small number on offer. The number one example nowadays seems to be the St. Martin’s Ln. Hotel. From the brilliant settings smack bang the centre of the area of Covent Garden, the building is an awesome and courageous recreation of the metropolitan hideaway - and it’s swanky and cultivated. The place comes with a few individual features, including its world renowned restaurant, Asia de Cuba & the brilliant Light bar.

Books Can Fill the Spiritual Well

March 28th, 2008

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to speak to clergy
from a variety of Christian denominations. Early on, it came as
a surprise to me that members of the clergy sometimes find
themselves at a loss about how to add inspiration to their
sermons, how to best counsel their lay leaders, and how to best
utilize the seniors in their congregations. I came to realize
that a pastor is, first and foremost, a human being. As such, he
inevitably experiences times when his well of wisdom and
inspiration run dry. The more conversations I had with clergy
members, the more I came to understand that they use a variety
of tools to help fill and enhance their wells of spirituality -
including reading books, attending retreats, and writing in
journals.

Books are probably the single most important source of
inspiration to members of the clergy. In addition to the Bible,
a pastor often turns to both the writings of great theologians
and books written by present day authors who discuss the human
condition and the means by which we can find comfort and solace.
Biblical references might give a pastor the foundation of his
sermons, but books by psychologists, sociologists, and Christian
authors can inspire him to enhance his sermons with material
that is relevant to the lives of his congregants. The spiritual
challenges faced by today’s church members - whether they’re
just entering college or just entering retirement - may have
roots in ancient times, but may be affected by the complexities
inherent in our culture of globalization.

Writing is often a wonderful resource for those people - whether
they’re clergy members or lay leaders - who find that their
spiritual wells are running low. I’ve spoken to people who use
journals to reflect upon Scriptural verses, and who find that
writing about the meaning of a certain passage puts them back in
touch with their spiritual core. Others write stories of their
own spiritual awakenings, and in turn inspire others to reach to
God for clarity and insight. Still others use writing as a means
of revealing to themselves how the hand of God works in their
everyday lives. By reflecting on one’s day and understanding the
points at which faith influenced choices, one can understand how
God provides enrichment in their lives.

Reading books and writing are but two ways to keep one’s
spiritual well brimming with hopefulness and good will. Yet,
both are paths to leading a fulfilled life and being able to
communicate with others along the way.

The Hoodia plant may be the best gift to avoid holiday weight gain

March 28th, 2008

Is Hoodia the gift you should ask Santa for? It is the holiday
season and a fun time for celebrating with friends and family.
It is also a season that tends to wreak havoc on our waistline.
The sugar plum fairies are not so kind when it comes to helping
us with our weight loss goals. This time of year brings in front
us all the temptations of pumpkin pie, cookies, mashed potatoes,
stuffing and other assorted goodies. Grandma’s intentions are
good with making sure we have every possible food enticement
under the sun; but she is not the one who will have to live with
that extra ten pounds next year.

The gift that could give you the most joy this time of year
could come to you direct from South Africa. It’s a gift from the
Bushmen in the Kalahari Desert to the people in the rest of the
world that are trying to lose weight. It is called the Hoodia Gordonii Succulent and if you haven’t herd of

temptations. Hoodia grows in the South African desert and may
look like an average cactus but this cactus look alike has
amazing effects that no other cactus has; the Hoodia plant will
stop you from being hungry.

coated munchies and not be effected by them? How about being
able to eat just what you wanted and not be tempted to eat
things you know are going pack on the pounds. Wouldn’t this be
the best kind of treat, the joy of staying the same weight after
the holidays that you were before them? Hoodia has been shown in
studies to reduce caloric intake by 1,000 calories a day for
people using it. A one thousand calorie reduction in ones

enough to begin with.

If you are trying Hoodia for the first time over the holidays

important factor is that you should know that not all Hoodia is the same. There are some brands
that are not as effective as others due to irregularities in the
exportation process form South Africa. You want to make sure the
brand you choose has been tested and certified authentic Hoodia
Gordonii.

A recent report that is giving some dieters assurance in which
Hoodia brands they can trust to be effective was done by Truth
Publishing and Alkemist Pharmaceuticals located at:
naturalhealthreport.com/A-Hoodia-Gordonii-exposed.html. This
study indicated that 11 out of 17 Hoodia diet pills they tested
failed a laboratory analysis of authenticity. The six Hoodia
Brands that passed their testing process are: Desert Burn ZA 750, Hoodoba Brand, Dr. Wheeler’s Afrigetics, King Hoodia,

Search Engine Keywords Selection

March 28th, 2008

Copyright © Herman Dias http://www.Money-Earner.com

Search engines are the vehicles that drive potential customers
to your websites. But in order for visitors to reach their
destination - your website - you need to provide them with
specific and effective signs that will direct them right to your
site. You do this by creating carefully chosen keywords.

Think of the right keywords as the Open Sesame! of the Internet.
Find the exactly right words or phrases, and presto! hoards of
traffic will be pulling up to your front door. But if your
keywords are too general or too over-used, the possibility of
visitors actually making it all the way to your site - or of
seeing any real profits from the visitors that do arrive -
decreases dramatically.

Your keywords serve as the foundation of your marketing
strategy. If they are not chosen with great precision, no matter
how aggressive your marketing campaign may be, the right people
may never get the chance to find out about it. So your first
step in plotting your strategy is to gather and evaluate
keywords and phrases.

You probably think you already know EXACTLY the right words for
your search phrases. Unfortunately, if you haven’t followed
certain specific steps, you are probably WRONG. It’s hard to be
objective when you are right in the center of your business
network, which is the reason that you may not be able to choose
the most efficient keywords from the inside. You need to be able
to think like your customers. And since you are a business owner
and not the consumer, your best bet is to go directly to the
source.

Instead of plunging in and scribbling down a list of potential
search words and phrases yourself, ask for words from as many
potential customers as you can. You will most likely find out
that your understanding of your business and your customers’
understanding is significantly different.

The consumer is an invaluable resource. You will find the words
you accumulate from them are words and phrases you probably
never would have considered from deep inside the trenches of
your business.

Only after you have gathered as many words and phrases from
outside resources should you add your own keyword to the list.
Once you have this list in hand, you are ready for the next
step: evaluation.

The aim of evaluation is to narrow down your list to a small
number of words and phrases that will direct the highest number
of quality visitors to your website. By “quality visitors” I
mean those consumers who are most likely to make a purchase
rather than just cruise around your site and take off for
greener pastures. In evaluating the effectiveness of keywords,
bear in mind three elements: popularity, specificity, and
motivation.

Popularity is the easiest to evaluate because it is an objective
quality. The more popular your keyword is, the more likely the
chances are that it will be typed into a search engine which
will then bring up your URL.

You can now purchase software that will rate the popularity of
keywords and phrases by giving words a number rating based on
real search engine activity. Software such as WordTracker will
even suggest variations of your words and phrases. The higher
the number this software assigns to a given keyword, the more
traffic you can logically expect to be directed to your site.
The only fallacy with this concept is the more popular the
keyword is, the greater the search engine position you will need
to obtain. If you are down at the bottom of the search results,
the consumer will probably never scroll down to find you.

Popularity isn’t enough to declare a keyword a good choice. You
must move on to the next criteria, which is specificity. The
more specific your keyword is, the greater the likelihood that
the consumer who is ready to purchase your goods or services
will find you.

Let’s look at a hypothetical example. Imagine that you have
obtained popularity rankings for the keyword “automobile
companies.” However, you company specializes in bodywork only.
The keyword “automobile body shops” would rank lower on the
popularity scale than “automobile companies,” but it would
nevertheless serve you much better. Instead of getting a slew of
people interested in everything from buying a car to changing
their oil filters, you will get only those consumers with
trashed front ends or crumpled fenders being directed to your
site. In other words, consumers ready to buy your services are
the ones who will immediately find you. Not only that, but the
greater the specificity of your keyword is, the less competition
you will face.

The third factor is consumer motivation. Once again, this
requires putting yourself inside the mind of the customer rather
than the seller to figure out what motivation prompts a person
looking for a service or product to type in a particular word or
phrase. Let’s look at another example, such as a consumer who is
searching for a job as an IT manager in a new city. If you have
to choose between “Seattle job listings” and “Seattle IT
recruiters” which do you think will benefit the consumer more?
If you were looking for this type of specific job, which keyword
would you type in? The second one, of course! Using the second
keyword targets people who have decided on their career, have
the necessary experience, and are ready to enlist you as their
recruiter, rather than someone just out of school who is
casually trying to figure out what to do with his or her life in
between beer parties. You want to find people who are ready to
act or make a purchase, and this requires subtle tinkering of
your keywords until your find the most specific and directly
targeted phrases to bring the most motivated traffic to you site.

Once you have chosen your keywords, your work is not done. You
must continually evaluate performance across a variety of search
engines, bearing in mind that times and trends change, as does
popular lingo. You cannot rely on your log traffic analysis
alone because it will not tell you how many of your visitors
actually made a purchase.

Luckily, some new tools have been invented to help you judge the
effectiveness of your keywords in individual search engines.
There is now software available that analyzes consumer behavior
in relation to consumer traffic. This allows you to discern
which keywords are bringing you the most valuable customers.

This is an essential concept: numbers alone do not make a good
keyword; profits per visitor do. You need to find keywords that
direct consumers to your site who actually buy your product,
fill out your forms, or download your product. This is the most
important factor in evaluating the efficacy of a keyword or
phrase, and should be the sword you wield when discarding and
replacing ineffective or inefficient keywords with keywords that
bring in better profits.

Ongoing analysis of tested keywords is the formula for search
engine success. This may sound like a lot of work - and it is!
But the amount of informed effort you put into your keyword
campaign is what will ultimately generate your business’ rewards.

Have a Christmas Party- a planning guide

March 28th, 2008

This is a favorite time of the year for many people. Why not
take one night in December and set up a nice holiday party. Plan
a small get together with family and friends.

It is a great excuse to get together. Plan it early in December
so it doesn’t conflict with all the Christmas Day events. Before
you get too deep in the planning see how many people will be
able to come. Then base your plan off that number.

I like to make it a simple potluck meal with everyone bringing
part of the meal. Whatever works, Then you can fill in the
blanks.

All you need for a small get together is a few decorations, set
the table and chairs up, refreshments, music and some fun games
to play.

Try to set up a couple of different seating areas, so people can
just sit and talk while others play games.

It is a great night and really is nice to see everyone while
they are in the holiday spirit. Here is a short guide to give
you some ideas of what a party entails:

1. Pick a night 2. Invitation phone calls 2. Plan food needs
based on what others are bringing 3. Shopping for food,
refreshments, decorations and games 4. Verify with phone calls 7
days prior to party 5. Clean house 6. Decorate and set up chairs
7. Any last minute cooking and food prep 8. Set table 9. Greet
the guests 10. Relax and enjoy the Christmas Party, it is just a
casual event.

Killer Whale, The Largest Dolphin

March 28th, 2008

Orcas, also known as Killer Whales, rule the sea. They are only endangered by human beings, as no other sea creature could possibly be a threat to them. Orca’s are predators that will even attack other types of whales. Even with the danger that they represent, to both humans and other sea life, they are still considered to be one of the most majestic creatures in the ocean, and millions of people travel a long way every year, in hopes of getting a glimpse of them - from a safe distance.

Even though they are called whales, they actually belong to the dolphin family. Since Orcas are between 27 and 33 feet long, and weigh between 8,000 and 12,000 pounds when they are fully grown, with the males being larger than the females, they are indeed the largest dolphins in existence. The males can live as long as 60 years, while the females can live to be as old as 90.

Orcas are black, with patches of white on their skin. Their heads are round, and they have very distinctive beaks. Orcas have a large sickle shaped dorsal fin, and large flippers that are typical of all dolphins.

The dorsal fin is located on the top of the Orcas back, and the males dorsal fin can be up to six feet tall, while the females is only about four feet tall. Orcas can travel at speeds of 30 miles per hour.
Orcas live in pods. The pods are small, and operate just as close families do. These pods are made up of 6 to 40 Orcas, and pods stay together throughout their entire lives. Members of the pods work together to protect the young, as well as the sick and injured members.

Orcas breed from winter to early spring near the surface of warm waters. The gestation period is from 16 - 17 months. The babies, called calves, are born between October and March. The calves are able to swim within thirty minutes of being born, and weigh up to 400 pounds. They are typically 6 to 8 feet long at birth. In most cases, each female only gives birth to one calf. Twins are rare. The calf usually stays with it’s mother for a year, and sometimes longer.

The members of the pods hunt together, and work together to catch their prey. They survive on a diet of fish, squid, sharks, whales, seals, turtles, octopus, penguins, and sea gulls. Their teeth are typically about 3 inches long, and 1 inch in diameter. An average Orca eats an estimated 550 pounds of food each day or more. While Orcas do not migrate, they may travel hundreds of miles in order to catch seasonal prey.

Orcas have one blow hole, and they breathe air in above the surface of the water through their blow hole, which is located on top of their heads, above their eyes. Orcas are very vocal. They make a variety of sounds that sound much like clicks, whistles, and even screams. These sounds are used to communicate with each other when hunting prey, and for mating purposes. Each individual pod even has it’s own accent, which makes it possible for members to recognize each other.

Orcas can be found in tropical waters, as well as arctic waters. Pods can be found in coastal waters, as well as deep waters. Orcas have been found in every ocean in the world, so they are not habitats of any particular climate or area - other than salt water.
