3 Steps to Manifesting Your Ideal Life

May 25th, 2008

Over the past several weeks I’ve received dozens of email
solicitations for books, CDs and videos that promise to reveal
newly discovered techniques to improve my life. These emails
promise a wide variety of benefits: how to get rich, lose
weight, meet the woman of my dreams and buy a million dollar
mansion with no money down. In some cases the salesman will
throw in a “Ginzu knife” or “pocket fisherman” if I order
immediately!

While some of these marketers may actually believe they’ve
invented a whole new system of creating a life anyone would
want, the truth is “there is nothing new under the sun.” Mystics
have studied the underlying principles that manifest reality for
centuries. These same principles existed in the time of Socrates
and they existed before the establishment of many of today’s
religions.

Whether it’s money, love, health, or anything else, the
principles are the same. In mystical terms, the Law of
Attraction specifies that you will attract to yourself those
experiences that match your beliefs. In the words of quantum
physics, the observer affects that which is observed. Since you
are the observer, it’s you who affects your life, that is, it’s
you who creates your experience of reality.

You create your experience via your underlying beliefs–whether
they are conscious or unconscious. If you’re not conscious of
your beliefs then you must make them conscious. As Carl Jung
said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct
your life and you will call it fate.” Or, as mystics will say,
“Know thyself.” This includes your beliefs.

Before you begin to manifest your ideal life, you must get clear
on exactly what you want. Examine your desire from a mystic
perspective. Is it something that would be of benefit to many
people or is it a purely selfish desire? If you are attempting
to manifest your desire at the expense of someone else, there
will be a steep price to pay in the future. Remember, “As ye
sow, so shall ye reap,” so why saddle yourself with additional
burdens? If your desire seems selfish, reframe it so that it’s
of benefit to others.

Once you are clear on exactly what you want, then it is a
straightforward matter to manifest your desire. There are three
steps:

Step 1. Visualize exactly what you want for 5 minutes per
day
. Let’s say you want to go sightseeing in Paris. You may
want to visualize the Eiffel Tower. Why 5 minutes? Because any
longer and your mind will wander. Any shorter and you may not be
fully fleshing out your vision.

Step 2. Put yourself in the picture, with detail and
emotion
. You have a clear view of the Eiffel Tower. But, if
you don’t visualize yourself in the picture, the universe will
manifest your desire, but perhaps not in the format you
anticipated. For example, you might get a postcard of the Paris
skyline in the mail. To avoid any misunderstandings, picture
yourself standing in front of the tower. What are you wearing?
Are you there with your spouse or some new love interest? Add
details, employing all your sensory data. You’re eating a
delicious croissant. The wind is blowing gently on a beautiful,
sunny spring afternoon. You hear conversations en francais and
you smell the perfume of the petite jeune fille standing near
you.

Don’t forget to add emotion. Are you enjoying the taste of your
croissant? Do you feel the joy of exploring a new country? Are
you reveling in the sense of freedom as you travel the world?
The more realistic you make it, the better.

Step 3. At this stage, focus only on the end result. This
is very important. Don’t worry about how you get there. You
can’t possibly imagine all the ways that your goal might
manifest, so don’t limit yourself to people you know or the most
obvious avenues to attain your goal. Let the universe worry
about the details.

When you are done with your meditation, release it to the
universe. Continuing to hold it in your mind will prevent its
manifestation. You have to let go. To ensure you’ve let go,
occupy yourself with a completely unrelated activity after you
complete your meditation.

You’re ready to go; but first, a brief note of caution. This is
an extremely powerful technique, so keep in mind the old adage,
“be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.” An
example, an acquaintance of mine was remarking on how lucky a
friend of hers was to receive a $100,000 settlement for a
personal injury she suffered. Within two weeks, my friend was
involved in a moderately serious auto accident that left her
with a bad back and a subsequent $50,000 settlement. Was it
worth it? I don’t think so.

To ensure that you don’t manifest something similar, I recommend
you close each meditation by saying, “If it pleases God, then so
be it,” or “If this is for my highest good, then so be it.” This
is an extra form of protection that will help you avoid needless
headache.

Lastly, don’t think that because you’re busy visualizing you
don’t have to take any action on the physical plane. For
example, if you’re looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend, you
can’t just sit inside and visualize your ideal mate, you still
need to get out. You must go about your business, but be alert
to opportunities that the universe is presenting to you.

The Law of Attraction is the basic underlying principle at work
here. If you’re not manifesting what you desire then there are
two possibilities: you aren’t clear on exactly what you want or
you’re not aware of a certain belief, probably unconscious, that
is contradicting your conscious desire.

Identifying your unconscious beliefs is a topic that we’ll cover
in our next newsletter.

Until then, manifest your dreams, the mystic’s way!

Ask and Ye Shall Create

May 25th, 2008

How do you decide to create a new speech? A new report? A net product? Most of us have an idea, then start to work on it. It’s only when we are well into the creation phase that we determine whether or not it will sell.

By then, it’s too late! We’ve put time and effort into the production. Either we don’t want to “waste” that time and effort, so we go ahead with a product destined to lose money or we “scrap” an idea that we’re just SURE could have been productive…if it only had time.

What if we reverse this “create, then market” paradigm? Let’s determine FIRST if there is a market, then create the product the market wants. The Internet provides the ideal venue for this process because it’s cost-effective to distribute your survey, and it offers quick turnaround for responses.

Your first step is to create a survey that you’ll send to your target market. Your survey includes four parts:

1. Create a list of problems or issues that are typical of your target market. For the speakers market, for example, topics could include marketing materials, topic choice, product development, demo videos, office productivity, etc.

2. If appropriate, list several formats in which you can deliver the information. For example, as a speech, a special report, an audio CD, a videotape or a DVD.

3. List related questions. These could include:
a.How much would you pay for…
b.How likely would you be to…

4. Gather relevant information that could be useful now or in the future. These questions may be about the professions responding, types of computers or connections used, equipment available, etc.

When you’ve completed your survey questions, you’ll need to decide on the technology you’ll use to deliver the survey - and to gather the answers. You are more likely to get a higher response if you send your survey via email. However, that means you’ll need to compile the responses manually. If you’re looking for a small number of responses, email works fine. For larger surveys, use a web-based survey service. Zoomerang is one of the better-known services which offers both a free and a fee-based survey service.

As the last step in the Ask then Create system, invite people to participate in your survey. You can do this as a link from your website, in a pop-up window, or in an email message. You can increase the number of responses by offering a reward - a free article or report, a gift certificate, a copy of the results, an entry in a drawing, a donation to a charity. Be creative!

What’s YOUR reward? You get an exact description of the problem your target market wants solved. You’ll see how they want the information delivered, how much they’re willing to pay for it, and how likely they are to purchase.

And THEN you create the ideal product.

Transform Your Home with Decorative Country Lighting

May 25th, 2008

As we become more of a home-based society, many more of us are
pouring money into our houses with DIY renovations. Do it
yourself home improvement projects are both rewarding and
usually will give you a good return on investment should you
decide to sell or refinance your home. But you won’t need to
tear down walls, add closets or buy all new furniture to upgrade
or change the decor in your house. Often it’s the little things
that count. Small changes in lighting alone can alter the look
and feel of your home or even just one room with minimal
financial investment and time. Consider going country with your
lighting! Listen, unless you’re ready to spend a lot of money on
renovations (in which case you’ll be changing light fixtures
anyway), you can get a lot of bang for your buck with carefully
selected decorative lighting. And if a more comfortable, home-y
feel is what you’re after, there’s no better way to achieve your
goal than to look to the current trend of country decorating!
The reason why this style of decorating is so popular these days
is because garden or farmhouse inspired rooms ground us in old
world values. A space where our organic bodies feel ‘in touch’,
our psyches feel ’safe’, and stress levels drop. After all, what
is more peaceful than spending a few hours in the garden, a
weekend at the country home, or a week at the summer cottage?
Bring country decorating home to the city with country inspired
lighting! You could drive around for hours looking for antique
lighting, shop ebay for other’s used lighting, or you could buy
new lights from many lighting stores that will give you the same
rustic, relaxed, retreat. Think punched tin, replications of
candle chandeliers, small lamps that depict a cowboy or horse
scene. You get the idea. Be as tacky, playful or downright
country as you like. And, for under $200 and 20 minutes of
replacement installation, you’ll find that you’ve just
transformed a city-worn room into your own personal country
haven. Ten years or so ago, Martha Stewart brought pendant
lighting back into style using upturned garden cloches hung from
chains over bare bulbs. That can take some real hunting in the
antique shops! Thankfully pendant lighting is now available in
many shapes and sizes. And, you don’t have to stick to dull or
boring. Pendants are available to look much like the old,
color-glass, hand-blown garden cloches or as punched tin - both
are very ‘country’ looks.

7 Reasons Why You Need Supplements

May 25th, 2008

1.Food irradiation: is a food processing technique to extend the shelf life of food by destruction of harmful microorganisms and delay of ripening. The food is exposed to ionizing energy and radiation. However, this process also eliminates the essential nutrients especially water soluble vitamins and antioxidants. Food irradiation is widely used in products like chicken, meats, and vegetables. This technique is approved and used in more than 40 countries world wide.

2.Environmental Pollution: Everyday millions kilograms of chemicals are dumped into our environment. These wastes go to the air, water and food that we eat. For example, if you eat fish, you are quite likely to consume excessive mercury at the same time. Studies show that environmental pollution is the main cause for degenerative diseases. Thus, you need quality and potent health supplements to detoxify your body against the pollution and boost immune system.

3.Soil depletion: Aggressive farming, acid rains, use or artificial fertilizers and synthetic pesticides have caused soil depletion. These activities deplete the essential nutrients in the soil. As a result, nutritional values of fruits and vegetables are greatly reduced. In fact, the vegetables you eat today taste bland due to lack minerals in the soil. According to a recent study sponsored by United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), about 17% of land in the world has been damaged. However, soil remains is either slowly losing nutrients, or no longer contain the essential nutrients.

4.Lifestyle: Depending on your lifestyle and behavior, you may need nutritional supplements. For example, smoking destroys certain vitamins. Both first hand and second hand smokers need to take extra antioxidants to protect the body against free radicals. Excessive alcohol consumption impairs the body’s ability to absorb many nutrients and inhibits the production of digestive enzymes. In the above mentioned situations, taking supplements is MUST to stay healthy. Other examples that require extra supplementation include: athletes, pregnant ladies, people who work in radioactive environment and those who work in physically demanding occupation.

5.Stress: is not an unusual terms to many of us. Stress can deplete your energy, lead to acceleration of aging process and degenerative diseases. The symptoms of stress include fatigue, depression, panic, anxiety, loss of appetite, and insomnia. Fortunately, there are supplements that can work to effectively reduce the detrimental effects of stress, and also relief the symptoms of stress.

6.Pesticides in foods: Pesticides are widely used in agricultural activities to control and destroy pests. Pesticides are poisonous and reside in our foods. According to a study by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the health benefits of fruits and vegetables are reduced by use of pesticides. When you eat foods that contain pesticides, they may cause health problems to immune system, nervous and hormonal system. Unfortunately, there is no way you can detect pesticides in foods.

7.Food Processing: Most of the foods from supermarkets are processed. Processed foods are not fresh and contain fewer nutrients compare to fresh foods. For example, grain peels which contain natural fiber are removed in the processing stage. Processed foods also contain no live enzymes. Enzymes are necessary for digestion and metabolic function. Lack of enzymes can cause degenerative diseases. In addition, processed foods contain refined sugar, extra salt, unhealthy fat, and chemical additives. These substances may bring negative impacts to your body.

Golf Swing Aids Aren’t Effective If…

May 25th, 2008

Golf swing aids are rampant! Every golfer has dozens of them gathering dust in their garages or closets. How many wives have threatened a “clearing out” of these contraptions? If you are feeling me…keep reading.

Have you purchased golf swing aids only to use them once or twice and not see improvement? Isn’t this an everyday occurrence for golfers? I see and hear this all the time, and yet golfers will continue to spend hundreds of dollars by the ‘latest/greatest’ gimmick.

I don’t know if they (golfers) think they will find the “one” training aid that will change their game forever; or they are just trying to take the easy way out?

Either way, the main reason most golf swing aids don’t help is because you are not working on what’s causing your swing faults. You! Your machine (body) dictates your outcome! There’s no way around it!

What your body is capable of in that moment is the result you’ll get.

How many times have you wished you could make a bigger backswing but can’t? How often do you walk off the course with a sore back? How many times did you have a good front nine only to blow up on the back nine and shoot your normal score?

The above results were because of the “physical” issues within your body. Until you realize this and take a different approach to your golf improvement program, you’ll be a frustrated golfer for a long time.

In my opinion, there are a couple of golf swing aids that are effective when you incorporate them with your new golf training program. One is the medicus. This is a fantastic golf swing aid that gives you instant feedback. Swing it too fast or out of plane and the shaft breaks at the hinge.

Another golf swing aid I like is the weighted golf club. I swing mine everyday and boy does it loosen me up and strengthen my golf swing muscles.

Other than the above golf swing aids, there are dozens and dozens of ones that are a total waste of money. Save your money and work on you! The sooner you do, the sooner you’ll stop buying the latest, greatest golf swing aids.

An Informational Website Provides the Ultimate Flexibility When You Are Ready to Create a Domain Nam

May 25th, 2008

Content is King If you provide great content online users will
make sure that they can find your website. You can create a
domain with hyphens, longer phrases and words. You don’t want to
use the 67 character maximum allowed for domain names, but 15
plus characters is totally acceptable.

To make your domain name memorable, it should be a short phrase
that describes your website, your products or your particular
area of expertise. If you provide reliable, accurate
information, web users can use bookmarks or type the phrase
directly into a search engine to get back to your site. This
means that you will have to really focus on getting your domain
name listed on as many search engines and directories as
possible.

The other advantage to creating a domain name for an
informational site is that most surfers search by typing in
phrases and entire sentences into the search engines. A domain
name that uses all of the words of a small phrase or sentence
will easily filter to the top of the listing and keep your
customers coming back.

Hot tip: If you don’t trust the engines to help your customers
find you on a regular basis, make it easy for anyone to bookmark
your site with a reminder button on your home page.

Grow Your Staff into a Team of Creative Problem Solvers

May 24th, 2008

As a manager, your employees will come to you with situations they don’t know how to handle. When they approach you during these times, they are looking to you to give them the solution to the problem. This is understandable with big problems that have significant monetary and time consequences, or that may have a detrimental impact on your company’s standing in the eyes of your professional community.

However, often the problems your employees bring you are neither this momentous nor are they so potentially damaging. Most of the time your staff members could come up with creative solutions on their own if encouraged to do so. The recurring problem I see is employees who do not take initiative in proactive problem solving. Why? Either they haven’t been told that this is preferable to bringing their problems to the supervisor, or they have attempted to be proactive in solving a problem in the past and have been told their ideas or solutions were irrelevant. When the latter is the case, what motivation do they have to continue coming up with ideas if the boss tells them their ideas are unworkable?

Often, the problems we experience with our employees are ones we unwittingly help create. In the case we’ve been discussing, if employees continually look to their supervisors to solve their problems it’s probably because the supervisors have solved their problems in the past. Rather than encouraging them to find solutions, these supervisors hand their employees solutions. This behavior drains the creativity from the employee and results in frustration, which leads to reluctanceand eventually refusalto even attempt to look for solutions.

Part of the reason many managers “solve” their staff’s problems for them is in the interest of time. Managers tend to have more experience with solving problems and have already discovered solutions that work. Rather than cultivating an employee’s ability to think creatively and allowing time for perhaps one or two unworkable solutions before finding a workable one, the manager will just fix it. The result is a staff that brings even the smallest problems to the manager and a manager who becomes frustrated because the staff cannot work independently. This may feel like parenting a group of small children.

Taking from the example of children, children experience a growing sense of confidence and autonomy when they are encouraged to work problems out on their own. True, not all of their solutions are successful; nor are they necessarily the most cost-effective. But when allowed to attempt to solve their own situations, these children can grow in confidence and experience a greater sense of willingness to try first, ask later. Ultimately, they generally grow into autonomous adults who can think creatively and find workable solutions.

While our employees are no longer children, they need similar encouragement to take a step on their own to find solutions. The most creative, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking companies are those that are willing to find new ways of doing things rather than sticking with the tried-and-true of their competitors.

Cultivate Their Problem Solving Skills

If you experience frustration at the level of problem-solving ability of your staff, make a commitment to yourself to encourage each individual to find their own solutions first. Do this by asking questions. Questions that begin with how and what are excellent for drawing out an employee’s thoughts on a situation and encouraging that employee to think independently for a solution:

• What have you already tried?

• How would you like to solve this problem?

• What would you do if you were me?

These are excellent questions you can ask to begin encouraging your staff to think proactively. A huge element to making this strategy successful is that your staff must be able to trust you with their ideas. In other words, if encouragement to solve their problems independently is a new experience for your staff, they will probably be uncomfortable with it at first and reluctant to step out on their own. You must be willing to withhold your own suggestionseven if you know your way is the best wayand allow them to stumble. Encourage them when they do make efforts to solve their own problems, but resist the urge to fix it for them.

Encouraging them through asking questions and giving them time to come up with their own ideas will help increase their level of trust and ultimately reduce the number of times they bring problems to you without having first tried to solve them themselves.

Automatic Espresso Machine for the Business

May 24th, 2008

Automatic espresso machines are a great addition for any business office, because you are giving your employees something they don’t have at home, or that they may be paying for on their way to work. That added benefit of a great cup of coffee, an espresso, a latte or any other type of coffee mixture is one that is going to help get your employees to work on time, in a manner that they will be ready for work, and ready to grab that cup of espresso and get busy on what you need them to be working on.

What are you giving your employees right now?
If you have a coffee maker in the break room right now, but you often times will see employees walking around the office with something else in their hand, it is time to get an automatic espresso machine and put your employees on track for the day. An automatic espresso machine is going to make many types of drinks, from the coffee, to the espresso, to the latte, and the cappuccino. Providing added benefits to your employees will make them enjoy their day that much more when coming to work. It is something they most likely don’t have at home, and would love to have when coming to work.

Many types of automatic espresso machines area going to be digital, so they can be set the night before, and they will start the brewing process before anyone actually comes to the office. Yes, this means that someone has to take care of cleaning and filling the machine, but most likely you are not going to have to talk anyone into doing this because it is an easy process and one that take just a few minutes a day. An automatic espresso machine is one that will give your employee that ‘thank you’ every morning as they grab a cup of caffeine and they head their way back to their office.

An automatic espresso machine is one that will be an investment for your business, and for your employees. As the employees are not stopping to purchase that drink every morning you are saving them money, and the will realize this! You could even start a coffee fund if needed, where the employees are paying just a small fraction of what they would if there were to stop and purchase that cup of espresso or latte in the morning. This could offset the price of the ingredients and the filters that you purchase for the office machine.

Think about how much one person spends on just one cup of coffee or latte or even a cappuccino every morning, if it is $1.00 or $.75 it will add up. Now if you were able to save the employees this much money, every day, and then over the course of a month, it is like giving them a raise! Get an automatic espresso machine and give a little back to those who are in your office working hard at your business dealings every day!

Let Your Clients Tell You How to Improve Your Business

May 24th, 2008

Your client’s feedback can be the difference between improving your business and
losing it right away; knowing where you succeed and where you fail after a sale is
critical to growing your business and achieving perfection in your field. The best
way to get that feedback is by sending surveys to your clients asking questions like:

  • How has our product/service worked for you?
  • In what ways do you think we can improve our product/service?
  • In which areas do you think we could improve our communication
    with you?
  • From one to ten, how many points would you will give us for
    “listening to the customer”?
  • Have you found difficulties reaching someone in our company?
  • Would you recommend us to your friends?
  • Can you shortly describe your experience with us?

Deeply analyze the answers you get from your clients. Those answers are gold for
you and your company, because they provide valuable opinions from your clients
you won’t be able to have otherwise. It may sound crazy, but we often don’t make
suggestions if people don’t ask us first, and when they do, a feeling of importance
may make us invest the proper time to give the most detailed, sincere suggestions
we can think of.

How much would you pay to know where you succeed and where you fail in your
business? It’s priceless to have that kind of information at your disposition just by
picking up the phone or sending an email to one of your beloved clients. While
hiring a consultant or sending an employee to grab some feedback from your clients
about your product or service can be very tempting, it may not have the same
outcome as doing it yourself! (They are taking the time to answer your questions
after all; why send someone else to make them or to pick up the answers?)

Keep yourself on their minds

The easy way to sell is through your existing clients; that’s a fact. If you can keep
yourself on your client’s minds long enough every several weeks, they will keep
buying from you or they will send you some referrals for you to work withwhich is
even better.

Now, direct mail or newsletter work pretty well in that department, but there is no
replacement for client’s feedback because you will not only get first-hand
information about what you’re doing right and wrong with your business and how
you may improve those aspects, but you will also be putting yourself in your client’s
mind, and that will lead into new contracts and contacts.

Thank-you notes and gifts

Showing clients your appreciation could be an excellent way to start new business,
too! Once you get those feedbacks from your clients, it’s time to send the results
back along with a nice, hand-written thank-you note.

Your client’s time is worth every single second you can invest on this technique, and
if you get it right, you may end up doing it every six months to burst your sales with
new existing challenges.

Learn to Trade

May 23rd, 2008

The only way to learn to trade is by doing. Imaginary “paper trading” won’t cut it.

There is nothing like having real money on the line to test ones’ psychological reactions
to fear and greed.

Learn to Trade is really about timing. Buying and holding a position over a period of years
proves nothing. How one reacts in every sort of market is key.

Set up an “experience” fund consisting of 10% of your available risk capital but not more
than $5,000 maximum.

Force yourself to trade in only one issue at a time; long or short. You can trade 100
shares of an average-priced stock, 50 shares of a high-priced stock, or 200 shares of a
low-priced stock but only one issue at a time.

If a second issue looks attractive, force yourself to choose which one to go with.

Your goal is to always be long or short the most suitable stock at the moment. If you can’t
find one, stay in cash until one shows up.

Look only for situations that look to yield potentially large gains. You won’t always
hit “home runs” every time, but a lot of “singles” or “doubles” isn’t bad either.

Your goal should be to always show an “absolute” net trading profit each and every month.
You’re not interested in performing “relatively” well compared to some market average.

There is only one trading rule that is always correct: Losses must always be “cut”!

They must be cut quickly, long before they become of any financial consequence.

It is impossible, in my opinion, to rack up an accumulation of net trading profits over
a large number of trades, that includes both profits and losses, without being “good”.

Learn to trade well enough and you just might be able to quit you’re day job.

Because No One Cares More About Your Money Than You

http://dynamic-stock-market-strategies.com

Good trading,
Don Heggen
