The Hurricane Katrina survivors will be victims again… GUARANTEED!

June 23rd, 2007

This time it will be our own governments mostly that will do the
victimizing but some businesses will get it on it as well. Its
simply one of the biggest revenue generating processes utilized
by various levels of governments that very little is known of by
the regular citizen. It causes family savings to be lost, assets
to go uncovered and even inheritances to disappear over time. It
victimizes the poor disproportionately than any other class in
our society. It takes away from those who need it the most…
like poor, middle class and poverty level citizens. But this
process has also been known to victimize people of all classes
and races in the United States. What are we talking about?
Unclaimed Money is the name of the game. Millions of dollars
that were in utility deposits, savings bonds, bank accounts,
family properties, safe deposits contents and a slew of other
unclaimed assets and money is turned over to various government
agencies every year, with only a small amount ever being
returned to the rightful owners or heirs. This unclaimed money
windfall is actually multiplied TENFOLD because of disasters
like Hurricane Katrina.

During these times there is a very very large portion of those
who lose their home and important papers in the process, to also
forget the location of many of their assets. Once these assets
go unclaimed for a specified amount of time, they are usually
turned over to a government agency with the hope of finding the
owners of record. But history has shown that these unclaimed
assets and unclaimed money accounts are seldom recovered because
the government does a very poor job of tracking the unclaimed
accounts owners or rightful heirs. This is the same government
that can track you down for past taxes, criminal behavior,
outstanding tickets and summonses, child support and just about
any outstanding debt you may owe them.

But they seem to have an inability to deploy these same tactics
to return your unclaimed money and unclaimed property when these
came into their coffers. Can you imagine how many THOUSANDS of
even TENS OF THOUSANDS of bank accounts, family deeds, bonds,
insurance policies, store and utility deposits information has
been lost due to the recent disaster? The sad part is that these
are people who are victims already, and they are also prime
targets for this unclaimed property victimization that comes
later… courtesy of the state and federal governments. Did you
know that it is estimated that 7 out of 10 people have unclaimed
money that they don’t know about? That is an AMAZING 70%! How
would you like a business where people placed their valuables
with you but only 30% of them ever came to claim their property
later? That would be a very desirable business venture wouldn’t
it?

Well it is also estimated that these government agencies are now
holders of over $1 TRILLION dollars of unclaimed money and
unclaimed property. Have you already been a victim of this
practice? Has a present or deceased family member been a victim
of this unclaimed money and unclaimed property practice? Do you
have unclaimed money owed to you? Don’t delay and find out today
because the truth of the matter is that most of the people that
are reading this article already have money owed to them, or
they will have money owed to them in the future. The key is
knowing all of the places to look.

Liberalism - A Mark Too Low A Price Too High

June 4th, 2007

After the dance the piper must be paid. To help us calculate the cost of paying the piper we will borrow from the math of physics. In the laws of physics there resides an immutable principle whose exact formulations I do not know, but even a novice like me can know how it works. If you throw logs on a flame (cause), a roaring fire is what you get. (Effect) I know it probably seems too dumb, bothering to explain something so simple. But I for one believe it is the ability to see this that most people have as an ordinary function of the brain that liberals may have been born without. To most of us it is what we call common sense. It is what teenagers seem to lose for a while and what liberals seem to have lost forever, if they ever had it.

The things mentioned in the following list may not be occurring as a direct result of some liberal bill passed in the legislature. But in every case it is a concomitant to some liberal bill, attitude, concession or notion. Let’s do some cause and effect viewing.

Cause: Roe V. Wade the landmark ruling that brought in the abortion practices that exist today.

Effect: The slaughter of upwards of 450 million babies. Notice I didn’t use the word “fetus.” I won’t dignify abortions by hiding them behind a scientific word that is supposed to make it less than murder. My brother asked me a few years ago what I thought the most dangerous place in this country would be. I pondered his question for a while. I thought of cities like Detroit or New Orleans where the murder rate is high. I cannot remember exactly what answer I finally gave him, but I will never forget the answer he finally gave me. He said…the most dangerous place to be in this country right now is a mother’s womb.

Cause: Removal of prayers in the public school system.

Effect: It is now easier for a child to get guns, knives and drugs into a school; than a prayer. The metal detectors, police, sniffing dogs, arrests, expulsions and stiffer punishments may be suppressing this malady to some degree but the real question is, why for the first time in history do children want to bring these things to school. Let’s not let them look to a higher power on the school grounds but watch as they suffer the consequences of being left to lower powers and compunctions. Maybe we should send school kids to give testimony before congress to explain their feelings about these things. The 9/11 commission would not have any more to say about terror than any of our school children who after events like the Columbine Massacre could write the definition for terror. They undoubtedly would start their address to congress with a familiar expression of youth, heard everywhere in our country today. Although I have several degrees from institutions of higher learning I don’t think I could find a more eloquent expression than the one our kids would use…Duh!

Cause: The preoccupation with and the exploitation of sex in Hollywood, TV and the media in general.

Effect: A rise in sexually transmitted diseases now down to the primary school level.
Millions of un-planned pregnancies resulting in abortion or life shattering consequences that children should never have to face, are prevalent countrywide. The hypocrisy of the stars and celebrities is a mockery that no one ever seems to call them out for. Celebrities regularly spew out the language and behavior of free and open sex in movies, sitcoms, and magazines, then appear as great benefactors of youth or those diseased with STDs. They host specials, provide free concerts and write big checks to hospitals and research organizations for the treatment of such diseases. They give new definition to the term …double standard.

Cause: The liberalizing of the media under the guise of the first amendment.

Effect: This is only an article…it would take a book to speak of the effects this farcical notion has produced. In the past few weeks alone, announcements were made about a new channel already up and running in the cable TV industry that is completely devoted to the Gay or Lesbian lifestyle. A new program now in its first run produced by Showtime is called, “Weeds.” It depicts a mother played by actress Mary-Louise Parker, who recently is widowed and sells pot (marijuana, not stove utensils) to supplement her income. In one of the first offerings, Mom not only sells pot to a city councilman but also to a fifteen year old child. She is not arrested or called out by anyone for this, and the show goes on. Americans can now sit with a remote control and wade through from seventy five to two hundred choices provided by satellite or broadband cable companies. I have combed through these channels myself often enough to know that what isn’t geared to the mind of an eight year is pretty much headed toward the toilette. Is this the result of first amendment freedoms? If you really believe that then let me make you the offer I heard in an old country song. Come on out to see the fine ocean front property I’ve got for sale in Arizona.

Cause: A grieving mom who has decided that the sacrifice of her son in Iraq is greater than any other mom’s loss.

Effect: Now a new Jane Fonda type movement is rearing its head complete with seven mouths all speaking, slander, discontent, cowardice, and other morale busting sentiments. I thank God my mother knew when to take her hands off my life enough to let me make my own decisions, and to face the consequences of the same. Haven’t these mistaken moms and their sympathizers been informed that our servicemen are all volunteers? That means no one made them sign up and no one could keep them from doing so…not even mom!

Cause: The ordination of gays in one major protestant denomination, and the call for it in other churches.

Effect: The effect has been no less than devastating. Thousands of Christians are now roaming around to various churches looking for a new spiritual home. With broken hearts for the betrayal in some cases of a lifetime of loyalty, these believers are proof of the ability of liberal policy to touch virtually everyone regardless of race, color or creed. I can remember asking a few gays if they wanted to open their hearts to Christ, repent of their sins and receive him as their savior. But not once did I insist they make me a leader of one of their organizations, groups or clubs. How I wish they might extend the same courtesy to my fellow Christians in any denomination. I promise I would not even think about charging them with discrimination.

The mark for civil discourse, child safety, moral resolve and common decency has been lowered to the point that we may have to come in under the floor to make it through. Extreme, I think not and most Americans don’t either. Yet, whether we like it or not we are all paying the price for this new lower standard, a price like gasoline which is rising faster than we can afford.

The Quality of Life: Is Health Important?

June 1st, 2007

As a matter of course, all responsible persons should take the
time to educate themselves, and their children, about the
benefits of healthy eating. Learning to eat for life in a health
conscious way is one of the best guarantees for a long and
fulfilling life. The quality of our lives is as important as the
quantity to most individuals, but because of debilitating
disease, we are often forced to make a decision and choose
between quality and quantity.

Thanks to the advances in modern medicine, the average person’s
life span now exceeds seventy years. If you stop to think,
that’s quite a long time to walk around on this earth. Along
with the wonderful life expectancy increases, however have the
detrimental effects of overeating and unhealthy eating. It seems
that as we advance in one area, we regress in others

The issue of obesity brings this debate to the forefront, what
kind of quality life can someone who can barely walk because of
their weight have? The first question I always ask, is how did
we get here? How did we go from one of the most physically fit
nations, to just wallowing in our weight? I believe the answer
lies in our lack of education about the weight gaining process,
and a lack of concern about our children learning how to eat and
exercise correctly.

Today, we must determine how much nourishment we need, how
much physical exercise we need, and how best to accomplish those
ends. Calorie needs, nutritional needs, physical needs, and
education about those needs now is information we should all
understand, at least as it applies to our individual self. If
you will visit your local doctor, library, or fitness center,
there is massive amounts of information available to help
educate and to help you make good health choices, no matter what
the age group.

The question raised in the title of this article, would have a
resounding YES as the answer. The life you choose to lead, no
matter what your field of interest, your level of education, or
your level of income, your life is tremendously affected by your
health. Maintaining your health is one of the most important
things you can do as an individual to enjoy what time you have
on this earth.

It is also one of the most important things you can do for you
family. As we become an older population, and our life
expectancy increases, do we want to become burdens on our
children? Or de we want our time with our children in our
retirement years to be something we and they have enjoyed?

There are so many things to do in life that allow us to enjoy
the fruits of our labor. All of these options can be cut short
if we haven’t taken the time to take care of ourselves. Quality
is as important as quantity. Education of the healthy choices we
can make, making the right health choices, and then living life
to the fullest should be the ultimate goal of every person alive.

JUDGE ROBERST ENLIGHTENS THE COMMITTEE

May 30th, 2007

JUDGE ROBERST ENLIGHTENS THE COMMITTEE

The newly appointed Chief of the US Supreme Court is known for
his bright intellect, his profound knowledge of the law and his
capacity for providing extensive correlations and references to
any subject discussed. We overheard the following conversation
at the latest ping pong tournament at the Justice Department

“Judge Roberts, we have covered a great deal of ground during
the sessions leading to your final appointment as Chief Justice.
I would like to ask you a simple question and expect a simple
answer. We appreciate the weight and careful structure of your
replies that at times go beyond what is needed. My question is:
Can the Supreme Court incorporate itself and sell its shares in
Wall Street?”

“Your question suggests a serious analysis of its contents in
line with the established precedents reflected in Section 5,
article 23 of the corresponding regulatory amendment, which in
any case also answers to the requirements “pro-bono” and “in
tempore”, without ignoring “ego me bene habeo” as expressed by
the Judge Adjunct to the District Court in a case of similar
intention, but not exceeding the limits of judicial stress or
any unknown denomination that can interact upon the notions
presented but not yet integrated into the corresponding brief,
this of course as long as a simple legal instrument such as a
petition or a contentious writ of assimilation can be introduced
prior to further evaluation and assessment of the matter in
question, but keeping in mind that ….”

“Thank you Judge Roberts!”
