Ask and Ye Shall Create

May 25th, 2008

How do you decide to create a new speech? A new report? A net product? Most of us have an idea, then start to work on it. It’s only when we are well into the creation phase that we determine whether or not it will sell.

By then, it’s too late! We’ve put time and effort into the production. Either we don’t want to “waste” that time and effort, so we go ahead with a product destined to lose money or we “scrap” an idea that we’re just SURE could have been productive…if it only had time.

What if we reverse this “create, then market” paradigm? Let’s determine FIRST if there is a market, then create the product the market wants. The Internet provides the ideal venue for this process because it’s cost-effective to distribute your survey, and it offers quick turnaround for responses.

Your first step is to create a survey that you’ll send to your target market. Your survey includes four parts:

1. Create a list of problems or issues that are typical of your target market. For the speakers market, for example, topics could include marketing materials, topic choice, product development, demo videos, office productivity, etc.

2. If appropriate, list several formats in which you can deliver the information. For example, as a speech, a special report, an audio CD, a videotape or a DVD.

3. List related questions. These could include:
a.How much would you pay for…
b.How likely would you be to…

4. Gather relevant information that could be useful now or in the future. These questions may be about the professions responding, types of computers or connections used, equipment available, etc.

When you’ve completed your survey questions, you’ll need to decide on the technology you’ll use to deliver the survey - and to gather the answers. You are more likely to get a higher response if you send your survey via email. However, that means you’ll need to compile the responses manually. If you’re looking for a small number of responses, email works fine. For larger surveys, use a web-based survey service. Zoomerang is one of the better-known services which offers both a free and a fee-based survey service.

As the last step in the Ask then Create system, invite people to participate in your survey. You can do this as a link from your website, in a pop-up window, or in an email message. You can increase the number of responses by offering a reward - a free article or report, a gift certificate, a copy of the results, an entry in a drawing, a donation to a charity. Be creative!

What’s YOUR reward? You get an exact description of the problem your target market wants solved. You’ll see how they want the information delivered, how much they’re willing to pay for it, and how likely they are to purchase.

And THEN you create the ideal product.

The BOMBASTIC method for selling 1,000,000 e-books per year!!!

March 29th, 2008

Make the math, if you can sell 1,000,000 of any stuff each year,
you are more probably than not a millionaire, further more if
you are selling something as intangible as e-books. Can I
guarantee you will be selling this amount this year? No. Nobody
can guarantee you such thing, but with the information that you
will find on this article and on my website, you can really
dramatically increase the amount of e-books that you sell each
year. I will reveal you hidden secrets used by best seller
authors. They have been using them for years to rake in the huge
profits. I will reveal you all the secrets for FREE right here
and right now on this same article. Even if you have never
written any book about any subject, you will feel inclined to do
so when you realize the income potential of just writing a
simple book. I will tell you how to write a book in a few hours
even if you don’t have perfect writing skills, don’t know a lot
of English, have poor grammar skills, don’t know anything about
any subject or you consider yourself to be a complete idiot.
Anyone can profit from this industry. Of course if you have
previous education and have expert knowledge on a vast amount of
subjects, you incur in the possibility to increase your profits
exponentially with what you are about to learn.

The industry of e-books has been emerging on the Internet
lately. The purpose of the Internet is to educate, to entertain
and to provide methods for people to communicate with each other
on a more effective way. So people usually turn to the Internet
looking for something: information. They arrive to their
computer screens hungry for information, starving to find what
they don’t find anywhere else. Some need money, others need sex,
others need something else. I will explain you how important it
is what I just mentioned for your business ventures, your
e-commerce and your e-books. People turn to the Internet looking
for information, fun, to satisfy an unsatisfied need (like sex),
or communication (to chat with others, email, etc). That’s
basically it. Now how can you implement that knowledge into your
business life and how can you profit from it? It is very simple.
Let’s say that you find a problem (they are everywhere anyway so
you won’t have a hard time finding one), and you find a solution
for that problem, check what’s next. You can charge a reasonable
low fee and you will have millions of persons from all around
the world paying you for the information that you have that can
solve their problems. Some people just find nothing and start
selling the garbage that they say they have. They scam out an
unfortunate few out of their money. These are the unsuccessful
businessmen. You need to get residual income from your products.
You need to get word of mouth advertisement. You need to sell
valuable info so you can refer your buyer to other products and
keep selling to them. If you sell something valuable to someone
and that person is very happy with his purchase you will end up
not only selling to him, but also to his family members, closed
friends, business partners. Suddenly you won’t know where the
money is coming from, but you will know that it is coming in
fast and in big quantities.

If you target the right market and use the marketing techniques
that I reveal bellow, you won’t even have to expend a dime on
advertising. It will be an easy ride. You will receive residual
income for a long time. That means you create something once and
you profit from it time after time, without doing anything else.
Do you start to see the profit potential of creating your own
e-books? This also applies to other intangible products that let
you earn leveraged and residual income.

Target your market sell to people that want to buy what you are
selling. If you want to focus on the profits, then focus on the
people. Ask what they want. If what you want is to sell e-books
on the Internet, then you don’t need to ask I will tell you what
they want. They mainly want free information, to have fun, to
get laid, to become rich fast, to share ideas and to communicate
with others. You might think that what I mentioned above has
nothing to do with selling e-books or that it may be hard to
profit from it. Understand that people rarely get in the
Internet with the idea of buying something, they want all of
what I mentioned above and they want it for free. So if you are
selling them something, make sure your stuff doesn’t bore them,
otherwise they will just leave and never return. Sell products
related to what people are looking for. You might be able to
sell one thousand e-books about how to feed a horse, but if what
you want is fast and easy profits then focus on selling what
will catch the attention of the majority of people. Everyone
wants to make more money. Find a good business, which generates
good profits, and write about it. You may end up making more
money from the sale of your books than from the business itself.
Let’s take for example the real estate option contract. Let’s
take this subject as an example. Option contracts are used to
control real estate without buying the properties. If you are a
real estate investor and you know how to handle real estate
transactions, you will be able to profit big time not only from
this kind of real estate transactions, but also many others.
Anyway the point is that with you real estate dealings you will
have limited and not leveraged income. You have to wake up, go
out find the deals, talk to the people, call the people, have
them sign the contracts, find the buyers, arrange the deals, put
gas on your car, buy new cloth to impress your buyers, keep in
mind your local and real estate laws. It sounds kind of
complicated isn’t? I am not saying that you won’t rake in huge
profits from real estate negotiations, all I am saying is that
your income potential is limited.

Now if you buy a book about how to make money with real estate
options for example, that’s basically all you will be doing,
writing a book. Then if you use the techniques that I reveal to
you bellow, you will market the product with wisdom and you will
be receiving dollar after dollar for many years to come.
Quantity is not as important as quality. If what you create is
useful, people will keep buying.

Now how can you come up with a creative idea powerful enough as
to write a book about it and have others happily paying for it
and even referring others to your offer? The answer is the
Internet itself. Information is out there in big quantities, but
sometimes is hidden; you have to look hard to find it. Other
times is not very hidden, it is almost right there in front of
everybody, it is just that most people don’t have the time or
patience to search what they are looking for. Many persons
prefer to pay $30.00 for an informational product than to spend
8-10 hours looking for that information. Then you find the info
for them and then you offer it for an exceptional low cost. Some
really hard to find information can retail for much more than
$30.00. Just try to give your buyers something that exceeds in
use value what they are paying you. This means that they may pay
$50.00 or more for your book that if it can really make them
money, they will be very happy with their purchase. If you sell
them junk, they will feel very angry and upset and they will
fight back and ask for refunds.

We are living on the era of information. Everything is
information and communication nowadays. Are you taking advantage
of the opportunities that life is offering? Can you afford to do
something so simple for the opportunity to make a lot of money?
Everyone knows something about something that others don’t know
much about it. Did you hear that? You can start writing about a
subject that you are well familiarized with so it will be easier
for you. But never forget that are subjects that catches the
attention of the majority of persons like money, sex, and fun.
You can make more money with your sex book about how to give the
ultimate orgasm, than with a porn website. There are zillions of
porn websites out there and most of them have similar content.
If you are capable of creating something different, unique,
marvelous, new, and interesting, people will buy it in huge
amounts. Also think about this, search engines do not read
images, they read words. The search engine robots, which are
called the spider, can only read text. Websites that consists
only of images have to trick the search engine often times to
get higher rank and attract more visitors. But if your website
have sex-related words not images, you will get high rankings on
the search engine easily and you will be selling something that
people are desperately looking for. Remember that sex remains
the number one keyword on most search engines today.

So your tasks are easy and your life dramatically changes when
you do this. You start earning more and more income. You receive
residual and leveraged profits. You just create simple
informational products and have others advertise them and
collect the payments for you. Isn’t that amazing. There are
companies today that specialize in attracting affiliates. These
affiliates are willing to advertise and promote your products as
long as you agree to share a portion of your profits with them.
The fact is that because you have zero cost, you have virtually
no risk. If they are able to bring in huge profits for you, why
won’t you share a small portion of that gain with them? There
are literally thousands of affiliates out there willing to sell,
market and promote your products. The companies that bring those
affiliates to you deal with paying them their commissions, and
paying you your royalties. They do all the “hard work”. You just
sit back and relax. So let’s summarize it. You write a book, you
have thousands of people marketing it, you have a company
collecting all the payments for you, the company send you a
check, your buyers purchase directly from your website so the
process is automatic. Everything is automatic. You are on the
beach drinking soda and scrutinizing the beauty of that exotic
bird that just landed in front of you, you are eating your
delicious lobster while suddenly BANG!!! - BANG!!! BANG!!! You
made another sale, and another, and another, and another and it
never stop happening. You arrive home to check your account and
-sweet!- more money $3,895.45. For a “work” that you did two
years ago? And how often does this happen? Every week of your
life? Thank you God, thank you USA, thank you Internet!

Ideas Are Free - A Book Summary

March 27th, 2008

Without great ideas, no organization can stay afloat, much less flourish. Managers and top executives are constantly struggling to come up with big ones - creative marketing strategies, ingenious cost-cutting schemes and other corporate solutions that will save time and money and improve productivity. But what few of them realize is that right under their noses is a virtually limitless source of valuable ideas - ideas that can revolutionize their company and help bring substantial and sustainable competitive advantage. These great ideas come, surprisingly, from the lowest point of the corporate food chain - from the frontline employees who do the “dirty” work and who therefore see a lot of problems and opportunities that their managers do not.

Employee ideas are a lot more valuable than most managers think. More importantly, they can be had virtually for free, if you know how. This book teaches the most effective methods for tapping this “hidden” resource, based on extensive research in more than 300 organizations around the world. It offers precise techniques for setting up an idea management system that can empower your people, transform your organization and make you a much more effective leader.

The Idea Revolution

In traditional companies there are two distinct types of
workers:

1. The thinkers - the supervisors, managers and other
executives; and

2. The doers - the frontline employees.

The rationale behind this division is that regular workers
are not capable of the kind of critical thinking needed for problem solving and strategy formulation, and therefore they should not participate in brainstorming.

The Idea Revolution invites you to break free from this old, limiting thinking pattern and to change the rules, because the truth is that although your frontline workers may indeed not have the knack for strategic planning, they do possess other, equally valuable type of knowledge - detailed, practical information about the company’s daily operations, and common sense. Because they are actually where the action is, so to speak, they see a lot of things that you do not - what the customers really need, what machines are not working, what is being wasted. And often they know what to do to make things better.

The only thing you need to do is to ask and to welcome, not discourage, their ideas.

Why Employee Ideas are Important

In most organizations only the first type of knowledge is encouraged. The other kind is not only discouraged, but actually suppressed. But actually both are needed to run an efficient company. Managers and employees need to cooperate, to contribute what they know in order to come up with workable solutions and significant improvements.

Managers and supervisors can tend to generalize issues and gloss over certain details, while employees who work directly with what is causing the problem know exactly what is wrong and what should be done about it. Their knowledge of the problem is direct and intimate, and they can provide accurate solutions. They know things by experience, not by theory.

The Power of Small Ideas

Big ideas are always more attractive - they are splashier,
grander, always more promising. Managers are therefore more likely to weed out “small” ideas and go for the really big ones, the “home runs” - those that could help generate millions of dollars in revenue or topple the competition, instantly. But when it comes to ideas, small does not always mean ineffective or weak. In fact, in organizations it is often smarter to focus on small ideas rather than on big ones.

Idea Management

As simple as it sounds, getting and using employee ideas to improve your organization’s performance entails a lot of planning, preparation and hard work. Two crucial issues that you would have to deal with are:

• How can the employees be encouraged or motivated to come up with so many ideas?

• Who has time to deal with all of them?

After all, once the ideas start pouring in, they would each have to be evaluated, and then implemented. These are non-value adding tasks that can take up all of your valuable time. The only way you can effectively manage employee ideas is by setting up a good idea system, one that will make the process, which can become messy, organized and productive.

Profound Change

By encouraging the free flow of ideas, you will have the opportunity to bring about a profound transformation within your organization, one that could not only boost its overall performance, but would also liberate the people who work within it.

Idea systems have the power to change the very culture of an organization, by bringing about more trust, respect, openness, commitment and harmony among its people.

When employees see that their ideas are valued, their attitudes change, from one of detachment and frustration to involvement and fulfillment. This not only uplifts the quality of their lives, but also brings about real growth in the organization.

Steal this Ebook

March 20th, 2008

The hippie bible “Steal this book” was an anti-capitalism
manifesto, widely remembered because of its creative and
aggressive title plus its subvertive message.

Paper books like that one were not easy to steal, because of the
guards in the bookstores and the costly effort of retyping,
mastering, printing, binding and distributing. In the digital
era you can get an ebook, crack or OCR it if protected, and
copy-pasting it.

The main client for ebook-stealing tools are webmasters, in
particular those with an interest for decent search engine
ranking. In order to please the search engines and acquire deep
indexing, high relevance and top ranking, a lot of relevant
content must be written (or copied).

When I was into science there was a phrase “Publish or perish”,
that expressed more or less the same. Quantity instead of
quality. I guess most of us would like to have time to write
short and juicy articles instead of Goog-friendly mumbo-jumbo.

Machine-writing is a relatively new activity. And I am not
talking of simple copy-pasting, but a more sophisticated
text-generation breed of specialized software. Some simple
programs take a number of words and just mix them, like
Ktumbler. Others can generate random English-like phrases, like
the “Web Economy Bullshit Generator”, or sensible good English
phrases by the thousand, like Phrase Generator in Synonymizer.

But phrases are not substitute for longer text, and many lazy or
greedy webmasters are tempted to copy-paste from the web, which
is easier and faster than thinking. A much criticized brand of
website ranking systems, Cloaking, copies large amounts of
relevant, well ranked text from the web, and shows it to the
search engine spiders. In this way, they pretend to have more
and better content than any other site. And the best of it, when
the visitor is a human, they hide the stolen goods and show some
innocent words. Cloaking refers to that ability, and it is
achieved by IP detection and comparison with known spider data.

Finally, the synonymizing and text-mixing tools modify the
original texts beyond recognition. Like facial surgery after
committing a crime.

However, I am afraid that there is a little copyright issue…
The problem is that nobody knows exactly what are the limits for
automated text surgery.

To synonymize or otherwise disguise a source text is morally
wrong, most of us would agree. But it has limits. If I say “My
Kingdom for an equine”, or “After me, the big rain”, or “Let’s
there be illumination”, you will understand that synonyms cannot
be forbiden. There are also many situations in which
overprotective legislation blocks creativity and innovation.

I am tempted to emulate Abbie Hoffman and discuss the morality
of copyright and the whole issue of intellectual property.
However, those are deep waters.

My point is that there is no established parameter to define
plagiarism in texts. What if I substitute “2″ for “two” and Goog
for Google, as I do to avoid being noticed by them? And Yah for
Yahoo, not to forget the pioneer?. Or if I change just one word
in a phrase? What if I just mix the phrases in a text? Goog will
probably still consider that the keyword density is correct for
top ranking, minus a correction to account for the fact than the
start of a file is more important than the end.

Many Plagiarism Detection services can compare any submitted
text with a large library (mostly, the WWW) and decide if there
is enough similarity with a certain source. They usually do not
disclose their algorithm, but assure “it comprises proprietary
technology” and “detects digital signature of the authors”. A
leader in this field says “Copyscape looks for pages containing
sizeable chunks of identical text”. Nobody knows how that
translates into numbers.

Goog and the other search engines are against “duplicated
content”, but they do not define it.

The availability of “text de-authoring tools” makes the
intellectual property issue very blurry to any attorney willing
to evaluate the existence of a crime. And as a collateral
effect, the modified text will not be detected by the
anti-plagiarism tools, which mostly search for exact text
coincidences.

I started to examine some Plagiarism Detection sites, and I
noticed that the better ones require some kind of a fee. Of
course, it is not easy to compare a student term paper with the
whole Library of Congress and the whole Web, plus the old Web
Archives in the Wayback Machine. Others like Ferret are free and
let you compare your file with another, but you need to provide
BOTH files.

So, without hiding my condition of SEO Tool maker, I declare the
need for a public algorithm that will establish if a text is the
un-ethical or immoral or illegal derivative of a web source. It
is necessary either for nailing plagiarists or to help writers
and webmasters to define the limits for near-plagiarism and
near-plagiarism devices.

Book Review - Loyalty Myths: Hyped Strategies That Will Put You Out of Business - and Proven Tactics

March 6th, 2008

Did you ever wonder if some of those age old sayings about marketing are true? For instance, we’ve all heard “It costs five times more to acquire a new customer than to retain a current customer.” But does anyone have any proof of that? That is exactly what a group of authors set out to do in Loyalty Myths: Hyped Strategies That Will Put You Out of Business - and Proven Tactics That Really Work. The authors, Timothy L. Keiningham, Terry G. Varva, Lerzan Aksoy, and Henri Wallard are all experts in consumer loyalty and use their wealth of knowledge to dispel common myths and offer insight into what really works.

The book chooses and interesting format - the first six chapters are devoted to dismiss over fifty common ‘loyalty myths’ and the final two chapters are used to learning about why customers are loyal and how a loyalty program should be managed. Each of the ‘loyalty myths’ chapters contains several ‘myths’ grouped together by common themes, such as Loyalty Myths That Subvert Company Goals and Loyalty Myths Regarding Employees. The chapters both begin and end with an example pulled from industry that encompasses all of the myths mentioned in the chapter, with the actual myths discussed in the middle.

The authors spend a couple of pages banishing each of the fifty three myths. Some of the myths are things that we tend to take for granted, such as “Companies tend to know their customers,” while others like “share-of-wallet increases as customer lifetimes increase” would seem intuitively true. For each and every one, the authors use solid historical data to dispel the myth and show the negative business effects of believing it.

The final two chapters focus on seven ‘loyalty truths’ such as “Don’t manage for customer retention before you manage for customer selection” and “Customer loyalty and brand imagery are far from independent; you must manage them hand-in-hand.” The authors do a good job of going through how to build and measure a loyalty program around these ‘truths.’

The book is an extremely fast paced, entertaining read. Anyone reading the book with an open mind will agree with the authors’ solid reasoning. In particular, business owners, CEO’s, and anyone in marketing or consumer affairs will directly benefit by eliminating these ‘myths’ from their business and implementing the ‘truths.’ This book can have a very real impact on your company’s bottom line. Many businesses mindlessly pour money into customer loyalty programs without taking the steps outlined in this book. For some companies, a loyalty program doesn’t even make sense. For others, their program needs a significant overhaul. This book will help you identify where your business is and give you the tools to make improvements.

The only downside with the book is the shear number of myths. Many of the ‘myths’ blend together and readers would probably be more likely to retain the ‘myths’ if there were ten as opposed to fifty-three (similar to the seven ‘truths’). The amount of myths also doesn’t allow for the authors to go into quite as much detail as one would like for each ‘myth.’ There are several myths that aren’t so much dispelled in the paragraph or two devoted to it, but within the context of the entire chapter. It just seems like it would have made more sense to combine many of the myths.

Overall, Loyalty Myths: Hyped Strategies That Will Put You Out of Business - and Proven Tactics That Really Work is a tremendously entertaining and enlightening read. Anyone that has an interest in consumer loyalty will learn a great deal of directly applicable information that can save their company money and help differentiate them from the competition.

Make Money from Designing E-books

January 21st, 2008

E-books are among the fastest growing segments of the publishing industry. As long as there are self-publishing authors, e-books will exist. So how can you profit from this trend?

E-books need cover design just like print books. With traditional printing, the publishing house takes care of cover design. But the self-publishing author has to handle everything on their own.

You can produce beautiful e-book covers using any program which allows you to work with texts and graphics. The best programs for designing e-book covers, or any cover for that matter, are Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and QuarkXPress. If you have any of these programs, then you’re sitting on a potential goldmine.

If you don’t have the above mentioned software, all is not lost. Microsoft Word can also be used to design e-book covers. In fact, any word processor will do. You won’t have as many design options as with a more advanced graphics program, but to start, you should work with what you’ve got. You can also upgrade after you’ve had a few clients. There is also one other option.

There are programs designed specifically for creating e-book covers. Perhaps using one of these programs would be easier than learning a more complicated piece of software. Most e-book cover generators come with pre-built templates that can be edited to suit your needs.

However, it will be a trial and error process as there’s very little information available on the reliability of these e-book cover generating programs. If you go this route, try to find a program which allows a trial run. If you want clients to be pleased with your work, you have to be sure to create a professional looking cover. Here are some tips:

1. Ebook cover graphics must be unique. They must represent the book accurately, and also make use of proper colors. This leads us to tip number two.

2. Use color psychology. Certain colors make people feel different emotions. Some people find blue soothing, others may find that red makes them excited. The cover on the e-book should take into account how certain colors make people feel. It could play a strong factor in influencing people to purchase the book. It may be a good idea to further study color psychology before accepting your first design client.

3. Use professional quality cover photos. If the client can’t provide a good quality photograph, make use of some of the free images available via image websites. Be sure the pictures or graphics you use accurately represent the client’s book. In this case, the potential buyer will judge the book by its cover.

Make sure any cover you design looks professional, even if you’re new to the business. Your clients trust you to make them look good, and don’t care if you’re just learning the program. That’s why you should try a few sample designs before searching for clients. With enough practice, you’ll soon be good enough to earn a nice income from designing e-book covers.

Andy Eaton is by far the best graphic designer I have ever come across! Not only does he create quality graphics, which actually do increase your website sales he actually goes one step further and teaches you his exact methods to crank out profit pulling graphics. “13 Days” author Raven W. Night: BOOK REVIEW

Don’t answer those little voices in your head Little Johnny! He hears
his dad all the time. But the problem with this is that his father has
been dead for several years. Little Johnny is all grown up now and is
hunting for the person who had brutally slain his wife while he
watched, just feet away. He could see no one, and while his wife
swayed back and forth, he could do nothing… that, he will never

So many people that John has known have died, his father, his

they won’t leave him. He sees and talks with them, he can touch

does he go so often and not stay there? He wants to stay there as too

Have you ever seen the killer, and lived after? If you have, then you

would definitely recommend this author. I will be looking for more

He has recently grabbed notoriety amongst some of the leading marketing experts such as Lance Groom, Jeff Mills, Dean Marino, Britt Phillips, and Karl Payne. Some people are saying that this revealing ebook has opened many doors for new and experienced marketers to make a lot of online money.

The Rich Jerk has been able to earn over $13 million in the past six years with clickbank and Paypal using these exact same techniques he now teaches. Some critics say that The Rich Jerk has revealed too much information and that could shrink their pocket books by the competition of new marketing arrivals.

This book is also not for the faint of heart. It contains some marketing tactics that are considered “grey hat” and “black hat.” It also assumes readers are professional enough to understand investing in their business, in the form of advertising. Not every tactic is grey hat, black hat, or costs money though - there’s a nice mix of many different tactics and approaches. The book is a “no fluff” and “no filler” type ebook that gets right to the point and shows you exactly how this guy is making tons of cash.

The Rich Jerk is a legitimate online player. People are also stating that they just couldn’t resist The Rich Jerk and what he had to say in his brand new ebook. Ninety-nine percent of the reviews online have stated, “don’t worry at all about feeling like you got duped, because The Rich Jerk is not such a jerk after all and his book was downright Awesome”! Yes he does have an abrasive advertising style, but what the Jerk does do is make a lot of money, and is now willing to teach other people how to do the same.

In the first chapter, entitled “Creating an Affiliate Website that Sells Like Crazy”, he covers building affiliate websites to earn commissions from the sales of other people’s products. He starts by listing 13 affiliate sites and ranks them as “must join”, “maybe join”, and “join if you are bored”. Once you’ve selected a product to sell, he goes through six specific writing strategies to use on your affiliate site to hook the reader and get them to click through on your affiliate link. He then gives you a complete sample “sales letter” (it’s more like an article) with all of his strategies at work.

The third section in chapter one discusses offering rebates to your customers, but it’s not just the same old “buy from me and I’ll give you part of my affiliate fee back”. The Rich Jerk delves into specific ways to do refunds that will increase your bottom line as opposed to simply offering a rebate.

In the final section of chapter one, The Rich Jerk writes about setting up pay-per-lead sites, where you get paid $10 or so for each person who provides you with his or her information (which you then pass on to a company which pays you for the lead). This is a technique that has not been explored in-depth much by any of the mainstream Internet marketing channels.

So why is “The Rich Jerk” much better than you?
The answer to this question lies within his newly released ebook.

7 Ways To Outsell Other Ebook Resellers On Ebay

December 7th, 2007

Copyright 2006 Philip Ritchie

How would you like to have your car payment or mortgage paid for? Or perhaps you would like to quit your job and work part time from the comfort of your home?

Whatever your dreams are, selling ebooks and software with resell or master resell rights can help make them a reality! But what if you are not a savvy internet marketer? Well, eBay is an easy and great place to start. It is also a great source of supplemental income even for seasoned resell rights marketers.

But, with increased competition on eBay among ebook resellers, an effective strategy is a must have to continue to grow your ebook business effectively. Don’t ever let the seemingly low prices and the thought of resell rights saturation discourage you from reaping large financial rewards. I have been selling ebooks and software on eBay for 3 years now and have developed and refined 7 tried and true tactics that will allow you to resale ebooks for up to 10 times the price of your competition.

The secret is in the listing title! Below are 7 ways to maximize your traffic, conversion and profit using smart listing strategies.

1. Keyword Rich Listing Title

This tip is not unknown but is still rarely used. Most people who sell ebooks with resell rights simply list their item on eBay using the “actual name” of the product for the listing title.

For example, “James Jackson’s Giveaway Gold” is listed by many sellers by it’s title. In reality this is an ebook on how to build your email list. If you were looking for a guide on how to build your mailing list would you type in “James Jackson’s Giveaway Gold?” Not if you have never heard of such an ebook! It should be listed as “Build Create Make Your Mailing Email List”. This would be a wise use of relevant keywords and phrases which will bring in the greatest amount of traffic to that listing. You can find these targeted keywords with a free keyword search tool.

2. Understand What You Are Selling

If you don’t know what you are selling how can you give it a proper listing title? Be sure to read the sales page that it comes with. Often times you can find useful keywords and phrases in the sales page that will help you list it correctly.

3. Check Out Your Competitor’s Listing Titles

Do this before you pick your listing title. As you start writing down possible keywords and phrases to use in your title, cross check them on eBay to see if any other of the same products pull up. Be sure to choose the keywords and phrases that give you the fewest competitors.

4. Use Misspellings To Your Advantage

People’s inability to spell means money for you. For example, a product that has to do with “Google Adsense” can also be written as “Google Ad Sense,” or even Goggle Adsense.”

5. Cross Positioning

A great example of this would be having an ebook on coin collecting but listing it as coin collecting with metal detector. There may be nothing in your ebook on metal detectors but no doubt anyone who pulls up metal detectors will see your ebook on coins and bingo, you just created a niche listing with no competitors.

6. Name Recognition Tie In

This is a great way to pull in brand name recognition traffic even though you aren’t selling the product with the name. An example of this would be if you were selling an ebook on how to create a pay per click search engine. You could list the title as something like “Make A Pay Per Click Search Engine Like Google Adwords.”

Another benefit to using all 6 of these techniques is that often times the resellers won’t find you very easily. Resellers will be looking at other resellers and trying to copy their titles while undercutting their listing price. Because most of them are looking for the actual name of the product, you will be virtually invisible to them.

7. Put Your Ebook On CD

Now that you have positioned yourself on eBay away from the rest, burn your ebooks to CD. Why on a CD? You can increase the price as well as charge shipping and handling. You can easily charge $4.99 for shipping when in fact it costs less than half that to pay for the CD and shipping materials.

There you have it. Now you can be the ebook reseller you have always wanted to be and start pulling in easy cash, the smart way!

PDF to Success While Selling E-books

December 4th, 2007

Having a successful online E-book business means more than just
selling E-books. It means giving the customer great value, great
quality, and gaining their trust by giving away valuable
information in free PDF files.

So, what is a PDF file? A PDF file is a computer file type that
stands for portable document format. Essentially it gives people
a free way to share articles and documents, so that everyone can
read them on any type of computer. You’ll need Adobe Acrobat
Reader to read PDF’s. Nowadays most people have this free reader
already installed on their systems. PDF’s also offer the
advantage that they are indexed by search engines, as they look
at PDF’s as more valuable than web content. So, it is likely
that the more PDF’s you have, the easier it will be for
customers to find your site.

By giving away free PDF files that contain valuable information,
you automatically build trust into your products. Your
prospective customers will very likely have to pay for the
information in your PDF’s elsewhere, so they feel that they are
getting a deal. Furthermore, PDF’s help to potentially mass
market your website, because they are free to be passed around.
PDF’s can be emailed and distributed around the internet, so if
there is valuable information in them, it is highly likely they
will spread like wildfire, through emails, groups, chat rooms
and web forums. This viral effect of PDF distribution has a huge
potential to help drive tons of traffic to your website.

Lastly, try using the concept of delivering more than your
product promises. After one has purchased your product, offer
them an unexpected free PDF that includes information that has
high value. This will build in greater customer satisfaction and
people will likely spread the word.

Wishing you Success!
