Insane Offer! - $2 For Your Classified Articles With Unlimited Features

January 21st, 2008

Advertising through articles has been proven to be very
effective. Many marketers at present would rather submit
articles on article sites like iSnare to hit two birds in one
stone.

1) To get more targetted traffic through search engine inclusion
via the article site.

2) Increase SEO by taking advantage of a one-way link system.

But wouldn’t it be great to hit 3 birds in one stone? I mean
most article sites would probably accept and publish your
articles if they were just informative or useful and not just
merely advertising your products.

Have you thought that it would be better to combine product
classified ads marketing with article marketing? It is very
possible with iSnare Classified Article posting. Your $2 will
give you instant approval to your Classified Article Submission.
Just register for free and submit a classified article and pay
then we will right away approve and publish it together with the
endorsement placement at the front page.

Your classified articles will ofcourse be treated as a normal
article. It will be crawled by search engines and will have no
limits with word counts, unlike most classified sites where your
ads have some certain limits as to the number of words it may
contain. And most importantly it will be stored for more than
just 6 months and also be included in iSnare’s article search as
it will be treated as a normal article.

Why You Should Learn HTML

January 5th, 2008

Do you have a website or are you planning on creating a website in the near future? You owe it to yourself to at least learn some basic HTML (HyperText Mark-up Language). Even if someone else is creating and maintaining your website there are some basics you should know. What if that person is not available and you need to add or make changes to your website? I’ve always believed if you have a business, computer, website, or whatever, you need to know how it works. Don’t depend on someone else. Besides why pay someone else when you can do it yourself free of charge.

In this article I will explain some basic HTML formats for you. Believe me it will come in handy at one point or another. I, myself, have only learned some of the basics and I have been able to add, change, and make corrections on my own website by myself.

When you come across a website you like and would like to use a similar layout or text pattern, look at the page in HTML code. You can do this by clicking on “View” at the top of the screen, then choose “Document Source” or “Source” and you can see the page as a HTML document. If you are using AOL then right click on any area on the page without any text or images, then select “View Source”. At first it will look like Greek to you but after learning some basic HTML it will start to make sense.

First you will need a word processor program such as Windows “Notepad” or any other word processor you might have. You are working with simple text. You will need to save your document using the “save as” command and give it an html suffix, ex: Mynewdocument.html or Mynewdocument.htm (you can use either suffix html or htm).

HTML works in a simple, logical format. It reads top to bottom and left to right. What are used to set sections apart like bigger text, smaller text, bold text, underlined text are tags. Tags are commands. If you wanted a line of text to be bold you will place a tag at the point you want the bold text to start and a tag at the end of where you want the bold text to stop.

All tags start with the less-than sign < and end with the greater-than sign >, always. What is between these signs is the tag or command. You will need to learn what tag does what. Let’s first learn the bold command. The following is an example of making your text bold. The tag for bold is “B”. You can use uppercase or lowercase, it doesn’t matter. Here is an example:

Note: Due to the HTML codes in the article being formatted and possibly not showing up on the page in normal view I have replaced the < and > signs with the bracket characters [ and ]. Just remember to use the < and > signs and not the [ and ] signs in your document.

This is how it will look in HTML format - This text needs to be bold

Here is how it will look when converted to normal view - This text needs to be bold

Did you notice the slight difference in the ending tag? There is a slash / before the B. That means it is the end tag. Only the text between the start and end tags will be in bold. Now let’s add a twist by putting one of the words in italics.

This is how it will look in HTML format - This text needs to be bold

Here is how it will look in normal view - This text needs to be bold

There are some tags that are an exception to the rule about having to have a start and end tag. You don’t have to have an end tag when using these tags. Here are some examples.
this command places a line across the page. HR stands for “horizontal reference”.

[BR] this command breaks the text and jumps to the next line, like the return key.

[P] this command stand for “paragraph”, it does the same thing as the [BR] command but skips a line.

Every page you create with HTML will need the HTML tag
which denotes it is an HTML document and the end HTML tag
will be at the end of your document. The next tags will be your start Title tag [TITLE] and your end Title tag [/TITLE]. The title of your document will go in between these two tags. The title will show up in the title bar on your browser when you are looking at the page in normal view.

The following are some tags for Headings (there are 6 heading commands) and Font size (there are 12 font size commands):
This is Heading 1
- H1 is the largest heading

[H6]This is Heading 6[/H6] - H6 is the smallest heading

So, by using H1 through H6 you can change the size of your heading. Same applies to your font size. You will use through and don’t forget your end tags!

You may notice that your text always starts at the left of the page. If you want your text to start in the center or to the right you will need to specify where you want your text to start. Here are some examples of aligning text:

Center this Text! - your text will be centered on the page.

Center this Text!

To align to the right you need to set the text as a paragraph unto itself by using the [P] tag and adding an attribute to it.

[P ALIGN=”right”]Text here will align on the right of the page[/P]

Text here will align on the right of the page

Why did I put an end tag [/p] since the paragraph command does not require an end tag (remember exceptions to the rule?) Anytime you use an attribute tag, as in the above example, you will need to have an end tag, whether you’re using the paragraph command [P] or the return command [BR]. Using the [P] or [BR] command by itself does not require an end tag, but if you are adding an attribute then an end tag must be used.

Adding an image to your page would require the following tag:

-you would replace “image.jpg” with your own image file. IMG stands for image and SRC stands for source. You’re telling your browser where to find your image file. Your image file could have a gif, jpg, or a bmp association.

Ok now let’s get a little more complicated and create a hyperlink on your document. This creates blue underlined words on the page that someone can click on and go to another location. An example is you’re creating a link to another website.

[A HREF=http://www.profitfromhomebiz.com”]Profit From Home Biz[/A] - this is what in looks like in HTML code. Note you are adding a description of the link that will be underlined, see the example below.

Profit From Home Biz - what it looks like in normal view. When someone clicks on this link they would be taken to my website.

This is a very important HTML format for when you need to add links onto your webpage. You may already know or will learn that reciprocal linking is very important in promoting your website and obtaining a higher page rank with the search engines. Sometimes the HTML code is provided for you and all you have to do is “copy and paste” the code into your webpage. Often it is not, so you have to figure out how to put the information into HTML code yourself. Just learning this HTML command has been a timesaver for me.

I hope this article has helped you learn some basic HTML and how it can benefit you. I know, I know there are HTML text editors out there you can use and they can do all of this for you. I have used a couple myself, but I still like to know how to do things on my own. I bet you do too! Sometimes it’s just faster and easier to do it yourself.

I’ve just given you some very basic formats in using HTML, but you can find a lot more resources and information about learning HTML on the internet. Just do a search and I’m sure you will be overwhelmed at what’s out there. To view this article with the correct HTML formats please visit www.profitfromhomebiz.com/articles.

Definition of “Halogen-free” Leaves Many Materials Incorrectly Classified: The Florine Loophole

January 3rd, 2008

While chlorine and bromine are widely recognized, reported and restricted as halogens in many applications, it is noteworthy that fluorine, iodine, and astatine (other Group 17/VIIA halogens on the Periodic Table of the Elements) are not restricted in the accepted industry definitions of “halogen-free”. Dependent on the industry considering the “halogen-free” designator, chlorine and bromine are the only halogens restricted and then at levels below 900-1,000 parts per million.

In the case of fluorine used in plastics, many anti-drip agents employed in “halogen-free” plastic compounds including polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), better known as Teflon®, contain fluorine and the anti-drip agents have been reported to be used in the 0.1-1.4 wt% range. Some of these products can contain significant quantities of fluorine exceeding the level typically accepted under IEC 61249-2-21 as content limits established for other halogens (0.09% or 900 parts per million). In other cases, fluorinated salts may be formulated into plastic products at typical levels of 800 parts per million, especially plastic parts produced from polycarbonate, to impart flame retardant properties while the product is labeled “halogen-free.”

Additionally, it is noteworthy to consider that fluorinated polymeric resins incorporated or alloyed into a plastic compound also do not contribute to the “halogen-free” standing of a finished polymer because of the omission of fluorine from the list of considered halogens. Such fluorinated resins that could be incorporated or alloyed to impart improved electrical, flammability and processing properties include:

• polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF),
• ethylenetrifluoroethylene (ETFE)
• copolymers of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE)
• polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)
• fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP)

The apparent omission of fluorine, a halogen used in polymeric additives and plastics that are subsequently compounded into other plastics regularly to impart flame resistance and other properties, is due primarily to test methodology and limitations in detecting fluorine. The test methods employed to detect bromine and chlorine do not have the capability to detect fluorine and as such fluorine is left undetected and unreported although it too is a halogen. Without significant address in test methodology, it is unlikely that total halogen content will be considered by regulators in the near future; however, environmentalists have become aware of fluorine toxicology and the potential human effects in recent developments related to groundwater contamination by fluorinated compounds and potential effects of thermal decomposition of PTFE.

Recent concerns over the potential toxicological effects of groundwater contamination by some fluorinated precursors and by-products including perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in the United States as well as potential human toxicological effects caused through contact with products containing PTFE produced by DuPont, better known as Teflon®, could cause a review of this apparent dual status for halogen materials used throughout industry. According to the environmental investigative organization Environmental Working Group:

“… in the past five years, the multi-billion dollar “perfluorochemical” (PFC) industry, which underpins such world-famous brands as Teflon®, Stainmaster®, Scotchgard® and Gore-Tex®, has emerged as a regulatory priority for scientists and officials at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The PFC family is characterized by chains of carbon atoms of varying lengths, to which fluorine atoms are strongly bonded, yielding essentially indestructible chemicals that until recently were thought to be biologically inert. No one thinks so now.”

Since 2000, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) has undertaken a significant review of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). [US EPA PFOA Factsheet] In 2000, the US EPA peremptorily forced the elimination of PFOS, the chemical used for decades as the active ingredient in the popular Scotchgard® stain and water repellant from 3M. At about the same time, 3M ceased manufacture of the related perfluorochemical PFOA.

Throughout 2005, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has had PFOA under intense regulatory scrutiny due to reports of groundwater contamination. PFOA is most widely used in the manufacture of PTFE. One significant brand of PTFE under scrutiny is Dupont Teflon®. Due to findings from toxicity studies and by the presence of PFOA in the blood of more than 90 percent of the United States population, the United States Environmental Protection Agency continues its review of human toxicity studies and potential health effects.

In December 2005, Dupont reached a US$16.5 million settlement agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in an enforcement action related to the chemical compound PFOA; this settlement follows a civil settlement of US$107 million in March 2005 on related matters concerning alleged PFOA contamination of local drinking water by Dupont in West Virginia, USA.

In 2006, the issue of PFOA and PFOS content in plastics and other materials will be considered by many states. In California (USA), a coalition consisting of the United Steelworkers (USW), Sierra Club, Environmental Law Foundation, Environment California, U.S. Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Environmental Working Group (EWG) filed a petition to have PFOA listed as “a chemical that is known to the state to cause cancer” under California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, commonly referred to as Proposition 65. If adopted, the finding would require information labels on products based on specific toxicological findings under California Right to Know requirements. Additionally, a preliminary report on perfluorochemical contamination in Minnesota was considered by the Senate Environmental Committee in February 2006.

In April 2006, sixteen lawsuits filed in a US$5 billion class-action suit have been transferred to a Federal Court in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. Court papers allege Teflon® makers withheld information about chemicals used to make Teflon® chemicals that are allegedly released when the pans are heated. Dupont, the manufacturer of Teflon® says the material is safe.

With the settlements in recent cases, pending class actions in Iowa (USA) related to potential human poisoning from fluorinated stick-free cooking surfaces and the information that has now been developed and exchanged during peer review, environmental watchdog groups and regulatory officials alike are continuing their reviews and investigations into the widespread use of perfluorochemicals in many industries with no immediate indication of potential outcome. It should be noted that the use of perfluorochemicals as anti-drip agents and flame retardants or the use of fluorinated polymers like PVDF or FEP has not been affected by any of the investigations to this point. However, because the use of perfluorochemicals is allowed within the guidelines of “halogen-free” materials, the reformulation of polymeric materials to eliminate the use of these scrutinized materials provides for significant opportunity from a technological development standpoint in providing truly “non-halogen” materials for the marketplace.

Ways To Make Money Online

December 30th, 2007

Making money online can be easy if you know what type of jobs to
look for. This article will give you a quick run over on some of
the common types of Internet
jobs. There really are endless possibilities but at least
this is a start.

It is possible to make money online without spending money. For
instance you could sell a product of your own. You could write
an e-book for example about something you know a lot about. If
you are knowledgeable with dogs, write a book about different
ways to train puppies. Then you can sell them on the internet.
There are people who are willing to pay for information like
this. You can also sell someone else’s product. This is called
an internet affiliate program. You refer people to a site that
you have signed up with and when someone buys something from
that site, you get a percentage of what they made. This is one
of the most common and easiest ways to make money online.
However, it is not always as easy as it sounds, so you should
get some good education about it before attempting to try it.
You can also sell advertising space, which involves having your
own web page, and when you have a large amount of traffic
visiting your site, advertising companies will pay you to
display their ads on your site.

Which ever method you chose will not be an easy one however.
There is a lot of work involved in making money online. Many
people have been fooled into thinking that they can make
thousands of dollars a month after just starting up. This is not
realistic. To be successful in making money online, you
are going to have to be prepared to work hard, and for a long
time for it to pay off. You will also want to make sure you know
exactly what you are doing before you venture into any type of
online business.

Easy Money?

December 25th, 2007

I think most of you have noticed the popularity of sites about adsense, and even more of you have noticed how much the adsense stock is going up in value. It’s like all Webmaster are flooding google trying to get in the “new easy way to earn money”.

First let me laugh at the mere thought of anyone who thinks there is such a thing as easy or free money. The only way to get this kind of money is to milk your parents or friends. Even this requires a lot of begging and losing of one’s dignity.

Many fellow webmasters, especially new ones, don’t realize the profession that is webmastering. It’s more than a hobby it’s to some a full time job or a career. And to some the only job they need to live their lives. So many entrepreneurs start their own websites just to join google adsense and earn “easy money”. Not realizing the hard work and sweat that goes into making a succeful website. As well as a money making one.

So a piece of advice to all. Webmastering is a serious field so people please take it serious because if you are not serious at anything you do you are just disappoint a lot of your visitors and as well as wasting your time. Not to mention the money lost in those visitors that think your site is a joke.

Start by doing research and seriously focusing your time. No one just rushes into success it takes time and patience as well as the necessary skills. But one must admit with hard work anything can be accoplished. So please instead of starting 50 websites with about 10 visitors each a day. Start one and focus on it and get those 1,000 as well as your pride and experience. And not to mention the satisfaction that comes from knowing you didn’t litter the internet with another trashy website instead you’ve just better it.

These all will pay off in your adsense earnings sooner or later. And even if it doesn’t have the satisfaction of knowing that you’ve created something worthy of keeping an onlooker coming back over and over again.

Thank You

    Which AdSense Format Works Best?

    December 17th, 2007

Our daughter’s grade school is right across the street, so it’s easy to hop on the bike and with her on the seat tube we have a nice ride to the playground.

When we get close to the school, signs abound telling everyone to slow to 20 mph from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM. There is the typical school zone sign, and the white lettering on the pavement.

In fact, at the corner there is even a senior citizen crossing guard!

Ever notice how everything ties together? Each weekday morning millions of kids go to school with hardly an incident? How can that be?

Optimization. Based on years of what works and what doesn’t, local governments know what signs to place where, what color, size, style of lettering, color of lettering, reflectivity, height, distance from the school, distance to the school, and many other factors that have made school zones safe.

Likewise, there is a pool of experience that can greatly improve the monetization of your pages with Google AdSense ads. If you were starting a new school zone in your city, and you were appointed to create the “safest zone”, would you start experimenting around? Wouldn’t it make sense to do as much research as possible into what has been successful?

That’s exactly what I’ve done with AdSense.

Lately I’ve been writing about different tips on how to get more visitors to your site because that is a vital part of the monetizing equation with Google AdSense. It only makes sense that in order to realize any revenue at all with a campaign, you must have someone visiting your pages and viewing the “ads”.

But once those visitors start showing up at your site, either through promotion on your own, or by using Google’s AdWords to point them here, cashing in on the experience of AdSense pioneers will insure that you’re converting those visitors into clicks on AdSense ads displayed on your site.

When I first learned about AdSense, I thought I was dreaming. Here was a company (Google), willing to pay me for the traffic I was already enjoying to my sites. As I related in an earlier post, my friend, Matt Wright, explained to me that he was making well into four figures a month on his sites.

If you’re like most of us, you not only want to enjoy the profit, you want to know the best recipe possible to have the best results possible. (Squeeze that turnip, baby!)

I remember when I started drinking coffee. Wow, good stuff! As the years went by, and the event of being able to get better coffee, I learned that the way I was creating my “cup” was really crappy. It was “good”, but someone showed me “better”. Much better! Soon, I purchased a burr grinder and bought high quality beans.

I experimented with different roasts and found ones I enjoyed much more than others. I found that water played a great part in making that perfect cup. Bottom line, it took some experimentation and following successful recipes of coffee “pioneers” to get me to a connoisseur of coffee.

Let’s look at what has worked best with AdSense. Consider this a recipe you should try.

    1. Displaying images directly above the “leaderboard” style ads. What happens is the pictures draw the eye to the ads and they become even more appealing. You must be careful that you are not drawing unnecessary attention to the ads. In other words, keep the images generic. Anything that may construe the images as being from the AdSense ads is against the Google AdSense Terms of Service agreement.
    2. We’ve talked about experimenting with colors. Pioneers tell us the very best click thrus are realized when the ad itself blends with the format and colors of your web page.
    3. Make sure you have ads on every page of your site. In this case, more IS better. Again, stick with the program rules. Currently you are allowed three ad groups and one text link group per page.
    4. Get fat! According to Google, a wider is better because it holds more content and make it easier to read without dropping down line after line. The most effective sizes for click-thrus are 326×280, 300×250 (inline rectangle), 160×600 (wide skyscraper).
    5. Guru’s say to place your ads in the top section of the page and to the left. Why? Better for maximum eye attention. Visualize the monitor as a piece of paper and cut it in half horizontally. Secret: top left!
    6. Did you know you can earn AdSense money with a Google “search box” on your site? For more on this, see:

      Google Adsense Tour
      http://www.google.com/services/adsense_tour/page6.html

Users can search just Google or your entire website. If they click on the ads displayed on the search page, you earn money.

    7. Use “link” type ads. These are smaller text ads ranging in six sizes from 120×90 pix to 728×15 pixels. You can add one link unit to the already allowed three ad units per page, giving you a maximum of four ad units on a page. Again, it gives you another opportunity for revenue.

      Google Link Units
      http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/topic.py?topic=294

    8. Track, track, track! Use channels to track different ad formats and color schemes you’ve created to find out which ad units are working best. Then, take that information to tweak and refine your site. For more, see:

      What are Channels?
      http://google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=9868&topic=152

    9. Tweak even more by adding special tags to your pages. This assists Google in knowing where the “real content” is on your pages which results in more targeted ads and hopefully higher click-thru rates for you. It’s called:

      Section Targeting.
      https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168

    10. Never forget that content is king! Think of content as your resume to the world. It doesn’t have to be about you, but it should reflect something of value to the end user.

Alas, another ten tips to help you make more. Let me know about what has been working for you, or ask what might be wrong with your placement.

    Free publicity to your website

    December 9th, 2007

So you have built a website and now you want to get people to visit your site… after all a site with no visitors is not worth the work put in. In this article we will talk about two different ways on getting traffic (visitors) to your brand new, super duper, web page.

One form of promotion I would suggest is to write a press release. There are many free press release services on the Internet that will distribute your press release for you. The better the press release, the more coverage you are likely to get. To write a good press release follow my guidelines below

Start with an attention grabbing headline

Write a short paragraph to entice the audience to read on

Write your main information aimed towards the media, this
is not a sales pitch. Press releases using you, me, I,
will likely be refused. Facts are all they want to read,
    not assumptions.

Beware of jargon and avoid using the exclamation mark
    where possible

Integrate your web address into the press release where
    possible

Use your end paragraph as a short description about your
company, products, services and company history. This is
    called a boiler plate.

Another form of promotion is writing articles, I know you are probably thinking what does this have to do with promotion and marketing. You will be surprised to learn that writing articles is one of the best ways of gaining free site promotion and also gain credibility in your business area. Take this article you are reading now, I have wrote this article and submitted it to http://ezinearticles.com/ a free article site. Anyone can view my articles at ezinearticles and f they like it they can publish it to their website. By publishing it they have agreed to include my biography, or signature as it is sometimes known, this is the small paragraph at the bottom about myself, the author. Within the biography you will include a link to your own web site, so the more people that publish your articles the more free advertising you are getting. To write a good article follow my guidelines below

Only use original content, do not copy someone
else’s work and pass it of as your own

Do not use promotional information in your article, this
is an article not a press release or sales pitch

If you’re selling products as an affiliate you cannot use
your affiliate link in an article

So there you have it, two great forms of free promotion!

Besides, Twin burner Rapid Response model is exceptionally fast to heat up, giving roasting oven temperatures in about 30 minutes.

Anyway, it is not always necessary to run central heating in Rayburn cookers. You will find that two different burners for heating and cooking in a twin burner model. There is also a model that comes with an electronic timer so that you can set the heating and cooking burner to turn on on its own, when you are about to come back home. All Rayburn cooker models come in all fuel types, depending on the requirement of the customer. Rayburn cookers provide high-heat cooking which quickly brings out the best in vegetables. They also roast gently and are known for their exceptional baking.

Rayburn cookers are authentic range cookers because of the indirect heat technology that they use. It is known as the `kind-to-food` heat because rather than allowing food to dry out, it blocks in the flavours and natural juices, thus making healthier, more sumptuous dishes.

However, the major attraction of Rayburn cookers is its beautiful enamel exterior which adds to the beauty of your kitchen. They are widely known for their reliability and efficiency, which cannot be doubted. Renowned for their design, Rayburn cookers are also hand built by craftsmen.

8 Secrets To Conquering The Internet

    November 25th, 2007

While some marketers struggle for years to earn enough money to
pay the bills, others zoom to the top, their sites exploding
with traffic and their in-boxes flooded with order and payment
statements. Why? How do these marketers differ from the rest?
Are they smarter? Braver? Do they invest more wisely or have
more money to invest? Do they know the right people?

No. In fact, there’s only one real differencde between them and
the rest of the internet marketing community. In a word:
    Attitude.

They aren’t intimidated by the internet — they eat it for
breakfast. Like ancient conquerors, they plunge into the vast
sea of the internet, heedless of its tempermental storms,
jutting their jaws at the giant terrors that it holds while the
rest of us shiver on the shores, barely daring to get our toes
    wet.

Of course they’ve been knocked down, beaten back and have the
scars to prove it. But with each beating, their determination
only strengthens and, as the sting of defeat fades, they learn
from their mistakes. Most of all, they never, ever give up and
never question their resolve. They will make it or die trying.

Thinking like a conqueror: THIS is the first and most elemental
step to becoming one. Because of this, they take swift, decisive
action, they reach out and grab what they want and they don’t
    take “no” for an answer.

Okay. Great. But what does this mean to the average person? Can
anyone be an internet conqueror or do they have to be born that
    way?

CONQUERORS ARE MADE, NOT BORN Attitude is everything. Attitude
influences thinking patterns, which decides a course of action
which, ultimately, leads to success or failure. Like the old
saying goes, “the only true failure is the one who gives up.”
And the ones who give up don’t have the attitude to continue on.

So attitude is the #1 secret to conquering the internet. Below
is all 8 secrets, some of which may shock those still cringing
at the shoreline. It’s not necessary to do all of them, if
indeed that’s even possible since each can become quite
demanding. And these are not all-inclusive, since there are
probably new and better ways coming out every day. But each
demonstrates the difference in attitude and thinking of a
    marketer and an internet Conqueror.

    1. ATTITUDE Marketers follow once the way has been cleared.
    Conquerors forge ahead.

    2. CREATE A PRESENCE Marketers tend to stay in the background,
creating pages and adding their links, but never making
themselves available to the general public. Conquerors create a
specific “presence”, a personality that distinguishes them from
others. This attracts attention, which also attracts sales. They
    do this by…

    3. START AN ORIGINAL NEWSLETTER Marketers read newsletters;
Conquerors write them. If this seems daunting, begin it as a
blog with an RSS Feed. Do NOT use a pre-written system or import
other’s content. The key is to create something unique that
    cannot be duplicated.

    4. PUBLISH AN EBOOK Marketers read ebooks; Conquerors write
them. It doesn’t have to be very long, just original and
informative. If this seems like too much, start by publishing
articles. Once 10-15 articles have been written, re-write them
    into one cohesive collection.

    5. START AN ARTICLE SUBMISSION SITE Marketers submit articles;
Conquerors run the submission sites. Again, this software is
available, in some cases, for free. By doing this, both authors
and newsletters come to the Conquerors’ site, instead of vise
    versa.

    6. START A FORUM Marketers go to forums; Conquerors create
forums and draw others to them. The key to this is finding a
niche that has no forum and starting one. There are programs
that offer free forum programs on the internet. But be prepared
to set policy and moderate the forum, as well as promote it.

    7. CREATE A SEARCH ENGINE Marketers submit to search engines;
Conquerors run them. Again, the software is available online.
There are even some that, to some extent are self-automated. The
only set up involved is writing a simple letter to the
submission services, asking that they include your site in their
    listings.

    8. CREATE A HOMEPAGE Marketers have a home page; Conquerors
provide them. A home page may require a bit more set up,
bandwidth and maintenance than other options but, by creating a
home page, a conqueror draws regular visitors to themselves and
a revenue source for posting ads.

There is a recurring theme in each of these examples. That is,
to do something which organically attracts visitors. So the
final difference? Marketers run after visitors; Conquerors
    attract visitors to them.–mo

Nude Business Girls And More Super Business Keywords

    November 11th, 2007

The title of this article is catchy. But, this article has nothing to do with nude business girls. The title is there to prove a point. “Nude,” “business,” and “girls” are three of the most popular searched keywords on internet search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN, along with others, such as “free.” As a webmaster or SEO professional one of your jobs is to choose popular keywords that will bring search visitors to your site.

New business websites have no chance at all to rank on page one of search engine results pages (SERPs) for mainstream business keywords like, for example: Business, B2B, B2C, sales, advertising, marketing, finance, insurance, mortgages, real estate, and career. Taking these, or other business keywords, and combining them with other keywords to be more specific can, and will, get your business site on page one of SERPs. When this article gets indexed in Google, I would bet that it will be on page one of Google if you do a search for: nude business girls. But, it will be nowhere to be found by searching any one of those keywords on its own.

Here is a small sample list of business keywords that can do well in search engine results because they are a combination of popular business keywords. Combining any of these keywords with city specific words – Chicago, Toronto, Portland, Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia, Seattle – will do even better with people performing local searches. Here is the sample list:

B2B Sales Leads - This is one of the keywords that I focus on for my site. If you scroll down to the bottom of this article, you’ll see that “B2B sales leads” is the anchor text of the link to my website. Putting your descriptive keywords in the anchor text of links also helps in getting good search engine ranking.

Small Business Resource - For websites that want to attract an audience searching for small business

Sales job salary - Searches having to do with careers and salary are too competitive. You must be really specific.

Full service internet advertising - Too many SEO companies try to rank well for people searching for “SEO.” The market for this term, and even this service, is oversaturated. Not only that, the layperson doesn’t know what “SEO” is as this is a technical term. Try instead to rank for keywords that the layperson will use when searching for your service, like “full service internet advertising.”

Free advertising and Marketing - Three powerful keywords that you would have no chance with if taken on its own.

Business economic indicators – people are always interested in searching topics to do with the economy like interest rates, unemployment rate, and CPI & inflation.

Free commercial liability insurance quote - insurance quote and mortgage quote are two of the most competitive keywords in the market. You must be specific.

Change management training - great keyword for change management consultants.

Customer service skills – Most people want to improve the skill’s necessary to do their jobs. A variation of this would be “management skills” or “sales skills”

Successful entrepreneur - everybody wants to be successful, right?

Choosing the right mix of keywords can make or break your business website. Remember that the next time you search for “nude business girls.”
