Selling Your Used Concession Trailers

June 19th, 2008

Sale your used concession trailers online. That’s right now you can even sale your useless trailer that’s only been sitting on your front lawn turning your grass black. But there are a few things you’ll need to do first.

- make a listing for your concession trailers

- take a picture of it. You’ll need one of the inside, one of any equipment inside and one for the outside appearance.

- make sure you’ve got the registration form for it

- advertise the selling like crazy and check around for the high and low prices to see how you can haggle people. You don’t want to sell for to little or too high. Selling low may make the sell but you might not make anything from it. But selling high could turn people away by the price and never look at it.

- Make a how much it made list. While this isn’t always important it is inspiring and might convince someone to begin a business.

- Always check your listing to see if there are any comments and answer them as soon as possible. No one likes to sit around and wonder, chances are if they found yours they’ll find someone else’s next.

- If you are selling in your paper make sure to have a working number

- Finally make sure it is clean on the inside as well as the outside. No one wants someone’s trash, make it look brand new.

Everyone Should Sell on eBay

March 6th, 2008

Many online entrepreneurs focus their efforts on their own websites exclusively. Others may also utilize affiliate programs, ezines, and other tactics to increase online business. Those who want to make a living online, however, should never forget to try to find a component of their overall strategy that can be conducted via eBay.

No other online marketplace compares to eBay in terms of size and scope. It is a market that simply cannot be overlooked. The sheer number of potential customers that can be reached via eBay cannot be matched by any other site or service. Any online seller wants to get his or her product or service in front of as many prospects as possible. Ebay is a great way to do just that. The level of potential exposure is beyond compare.

Additionally, eBay has developed so as to allow sellers to list products in a variety of niche categories, allowing for great prospect targeting. Those who want to find the kind of thing one is selling will find it. Meanwhile, the seller is not required to pay for views by people who have no potential interest in their offerings. Targeted marketing is a key to success and few buying venues allow for the level of targeting provided by eBay.

Everyone is familiar with eBay on some level. Its huge member base and remarkable influence have made it instantly recognizable to millions of people. With that level of awareness also comes a level of trust. Many people who would be reluctant to spend anything at an unknown website are more than willing to make purchases through eBay as a byproduct of their familiarity with the site.

Many of those who use eBay tend to rely on it almost exclusively for online purchases. The ease of the site’s use and its popularity has created an entire marketplace of people who are eBay-only buyers. Those who fail to sell on eBay never have an opportunity to access this potential market.

When one considers the ease of use involved in selling on eBay all of these advantages are multiplied. Setting up a seller’s account is incredibly simple and does not require a great deal of time or effort. The price of listing auctions on eBay is also quite limited. This makes use of the system even more attractive.

Those who are involved in online business must consider eBay when concocting their sales and marketing strategies. To overlook this giant is an error of the largest magnitude. There are few other ways to have such potential reach available for such a low cost so quickly. Many who never felt their efforts would translate effectively into the eBay marketplace have been pleasantly surprised at its strength as a revenue producing component of their business. If you have something to sell online, you simply cannot afford to leave eBay out of your overall marketing and business strategy.

Police Auctions & Government Auctions Professional Resource Information

December 31st, 2007

Police Auctions Information:

No, a police auction is not where you go to buy a policeman. Most people do not realize that police agencies, including local police departments, county sheriff departments, as well as state and federal law enforcement agencies end up with a lot of confiscated, lost, or abandoned property. This property ends up in the agency’s possession as the result of arrests, forfeitures, and just plain carelessness on the part of the property owner who sets a camera down in some public place and walks away.

Once the agency has accumulated enough property they will hold a police impound auction. The purpose of the police impound auction is two-fold. First, they want to empty out their property rooms which, in the case of some state and federal agencies, may be the size of a warehouse. Second, they want to turn this unclaimed or forfeited property into cash. This cash usually goes back into the agency’s budget, but it is sometimes earmarked for the particular government’s “general fund”. No matter where the money ends up, police auctions are usually a big money raiser for larger departments.

Forfeited Property & Police Impound Auction:

Items that fall under this category are usually the creme de la creme of the police auctions industry. This is where you can find anything from motorcycles and cars, to boats, airplanes, and homes!

Forfeited property is generally the result of drug arrests where it was determined that the seized property was either used in the commission of drug-related crimes, or was purchased with money that was received as the result of a drug-related crime.

When you bid on this type of property at a police impound auction you are agreeing to accept the item “as is”. You need to be aware that the term “as is” does not simple refer to blemishes or minor damage. If, for example, you buy property at auction, and that property has tax liens placed against it, you will be expected to clear those liens before you can take rightful ownership. The same holds true for mortgages or car loans.

You can find some real bargains at police auctions for this type of high-value merchandise but you need to perform your due diligence so you don’t end up in red ink after the transaction.

Unclaimed & Abandoned Property:

You would be shocked at what kind of property that people either lose or simply walk away from. You would be equally shocked at how many honest people find that property and turn it into the police department. Ultimately, if no one claims the property, and the owner cannot be otherwise be located — it ends up at a police auction where it is sold to the highest bidder.

Auction Process:

Most jurisdictions have specific laws, or ordinances, that deal with how the auction will be conducted. In almost every instance, the agency that is conducting the police impound auction is required to publish a full description of the items that will be auctioned as well as the date, time, and location of the auction. they will also publish payment terms which may be cash, money order, certified check, or any other payment method that they choose to accept. They will usually also publish additional terms such as how long you have to remove the property form the auction site once you win the bid, plus any legal disclaimers that the lawyers think need to be mentioned. This publication is normally placed in at least one major newspaper that serves the area with in the law enforcement agency’s jurisdiction.

The purpose of this publication is first: to notify the owner of the property that they have one last chance to redeem it before it is sold at auction, and second: to generate publicity for the police auction so that it will be well attended.

Depending upon the size of the agency, and the agency’s experience conducting auctions, a police auction will either be run by the police department itself, another government agency that is responsible for fiscal matters, or an outside auction company.

The police auction might be held on the steps of the County Courthouse, a room inside of some government office, or a public arena. The location of the police auction depends a lot upon the size of the agency and how much property is being auctioned off.

Some police auctions require that you register as a bidder in advance, while others let everyone and anyone show up at the day of the auction. Bidders are usually allotted time to inspect the goods before the actual police auction begins. You should take advantage of this time because it is a very bad idea to bid on anything that you haven’t had time to inspect.

Once the auction starts, you simply bid on the items that you want. Have a budget in mind and don’t bid more than you’re willing to pay. It’s easy to get caught up in the bidding frenzy and end up paying far more than you intended to.

Police auctions can be fun and profitable. Especially police auto auctions. Watch your local papers for announcements, or contact the law enforcement agencies in your area and find out when they are running the next police auctions.

Government Auctions:

Insiders know where to find government auctions to buy homes, cars, boats, airplanes, motorcycles - even furniture, designer clothes and jewelry. The property available for public bidding at government auctions is often surplus goods the government no longer needs or confiscated as evidence in criminal cases. Since government auctions are not well publicized, insiders can buy goods for pennies on the dollar. Whether you want to find bargains for yourself, or to resell your purchases for a profit, government auctions are an effective way to increase your net worth and bottom line.

Own luxury goods at Wal-Mart Prices:

When the government auctions off property, all closing bids are final. Many people attending government auctions for the first time can’t believe the prices! Everything you buy at the auction is yours to keep - no strings attached. With prices this low, it feels like your stealing it - only it is yours to legally keep, courtesy of the government. If you have champagne taste but a beer budget, attend a government auction. Rolex brands have sold for Timex prices. Why buy a Ford when you can buy a Mercedes for the same price? Traveling? Put away your checkbook at the discount luggage store. Go to a government auction and spend the same money for Louis Vuitton or COACH! You never know what a government auction will have, but it can always be yours for a price well below fair market value.

Starting a business with government auctions:

No organization in America buys more office goods than the government. Auctions are how they dispose of surplus goods no longer needed. Computers, desks, office chairs, AV equipment, copiers and trash cans - the government auctions them all off. Conserve your capital for operating cash and profits. Smart business people find the office equipment they need at government auctions. Imagine the thousands of dollars you could’ve spent on furniture and computers while you write out your check for pennies on the dollar at the government auction. Since our government buys the best, you know the auction will be loaded with bargains to keep your business humming along. When you are ready to start or expand your business the smart way, begin your office equipment search here at the auctions.

Making government auctions your business:

After attending your first government auction and experiencing great values firsthand, you may decide to start your own resale business. Many people buy cars for hundreds of dollars and resell them for thousands of dollars. Some people spend a day at a government auction procuring goods and bring them home to sell on their own. E-bay is a popular way for people buying goods at the government auction to resell them right from home. Without a retail store, you can save thousands in business expenses during the year. Your on-line business you can create with government auctions is limited only by the size of your garage! Become a power seller!

You “Don’t Need Experience” to bid at a government auction

If you can hold up a bidding number, you can win at a government auction. Of course, with any auction, you will want to inspect the items you are interested in buying before the bidding begins. If you are interested in a computer, but could not turn it on to see if it worked, how much would a non-working computer be worth to you? Since all sales are final, there are no returns. Avoid disappointment, and don’t bid on anything you can’t personally inspect. Government auctions provide amazing values, but don’t lose your common sense in all the excitement. Know how much the property is worth before the auction begins, and your experience at the government auction will be a positive one.

Auction and Its Benefits

October 9th, 2007

An auction is basically a public sale wherein any object is
sold to the highest bidder. It can be defined as a process
of purchasing and selling things by offering them up for bid,
taking bids and selling the things out to the highest bidder.
This is what is generally the case. However, a sale to the
lowest bidder may also take place, in cases where land is
sold for non-payment of taxes to anyone willing to take it
for the shortest term; or where a contract is offered to an
individual or party willing to take it for the shortest term;
or where a contract is offered to an individual or party
willing to perform it at the lowest price. Such cases too
seem to fairly come under the purview of the term ‘auction’.

In case of auction the seller presents the products on a
public platform. The selling price of the products are
determined by the bids or offers of buyers interested in
buying them based on their individual estimation of value of
and need of the products. The person offering the highest bid
at closing of auction receives the right to purchase the
products at the bid price. The winner of the bid is normally
legally bound to buy the item auctioned. In recent times
auctions have been conducted online.

The benefits of auction are many. Some of the significant
advantages are:

a) The auctioned item fetches the highest price in the
given situation. Thus, in a way there is the maximization or
optimization of profit.

b) At an auction the goods are almost certainly disposed
off after bidding by their sale to the highest bidder. Hence,
this serves as the right podium for disposing or selling out
of accumulated goods. Otherwise, business could have become
stagnant due to the stocking of these goods. Certain items
could also have perished (in case of perishable goods) or
expired if not sold out in time.

c) In case of auctioning a variety of articles may come
up for sale, which may not be otherwise available in the market.
The buyer can get quite surprised by looking at a treasure trove
of antique articles available at an auction.

d) An auction can also be considered as a method for
estimating the value of certain commodities which have hitherto
undetermined or variable prices.

How To Find Business Opportunities For eBay Trading Assistants

August 30th, 2007

There are a select group of sellers who are known as eBay Trading Assistants. They belong to a special program, which allows eBay sellers to offer items provided by others. For example, if you are familiar with the concept of a consignment shop, then you will understand the responsibilities of a trading assistant. A friend, family member or acquaintance may have one or more items to sell, but no computer or internet access. So, they would contact an eBay trading assistant who would offer their items for sale. Most eBay trading assistants charge a fee for their service, but it should be a reasonable one in order to provide quality service at an affordable price.

There are a number of ways to find people who are in need of an eBay trading assistant. Word of mouth, of course, is very popular as is the eBay directory listing every trading assistant and their location. But, what if you want even more business? For the serious entrepreneur, there are a few more ways to drum up some new customers.

1. Place an advertisement in the local newspaper’s classified section. It should go under the ‘Notice’ or ‘Services’ section. Because the cost of classifieds are usually determined by the number of words, keep it short while remaining informative. For example, “eBay Trading Assistant now accepting new items on consignment. Excellent reputation and reasonable rates.” Be sure to include a telephone number or e-mail address, or both, at the end of the advertisement.

2. Buy airtime on a local radio station. Record your own message or ask the DJ to create a commercial with pizzazz. Don’t worry - you should get final approval before anything is released on radio, so be sure to let them know you want to hear the commercial before it airs.

3. Post flyers in your community, on bulletin boards and anywhere else that will allow flyers to be posted. At the bottom of your flyer, print your telephone number diagonally as many times as you can. Cut strips, which will separate each telephone entry. This will allow interested parties to take a telephone number and stick it in their pocket without having to find a pen and paper to write your information down.

4. Ask local businesses and retail stores if you can leave flyers in their window or at their counters. Consumers passing through the store may have some old clothes or other collectibles that they would like to get rid of, so a store is a good place for your flyers.

5. Talk with local business owners and inquire if they have any merchandise they would like to have sold, but aren’t having any luck moving it out themselves. Tell them that you believe you can help, explain that you sell on the internet and ask if they would be interested in letting you sell their items in exchange for a small commission. Many businesses, especially the small ones, would be interested in reaching a broad international market. The appeal of the internet may be just what they need to free up inventory and bring in some extra cash.

eBay and How to Tell If Your Product Is Valuable or Worthless Junk

August 15th, 2007

When is a book not a book? When it’s autographed, for example, or in pristine condition despite being centuries old, and other factors that make it stand out from the crowd.

These are a few of many reasons an item – not just books by the way - may be worth nothing and another virtually priceless:

* Is it dated? Dated items are usually provenance proved, not subject to guesswork. But, consider: is it original or a reproduction or reprint? Be careful, if it’s dated, give the date, but don’t testify to age. For example, a book dated 1900 may indeed have been printed that year, and be 105 years old, or it could be a modern reprint. If you’re unsure you could say: ‘Dated 1900, in good condition’, but not ‘Dated 1900. A wonderful example at 105 years old’. Play it safe and on all your listings add: ‘All items described to the best of our knowledge and ability’. A satisfaction or money back guarantee also protects you against problems of innocently mis-describing items.

* Is there a signature? Did this otherwise ordinary item have a famous owner to increase its value? Is the signature genuine? Or a forgery? Is the signature original or printed into the book? If the signature is original, is it the hand of the famous person or an agent charged with signing on their behalf?

* Is it in good condition? Do you understand what ‘good condition’ means for this particular item? Many collectibles, such as books, postcards, stamps, have industry recognised grading standards to which you should also conform. For example, unused collectors’ stamps with hinge marks, are not mint, but can be described as unused or mounted, and other recognised descriptions.

* Is it rare? Or is it something quite common but new to you? What does rare really mean? Unless you are sure, describe it as ‘unusual’ or ‘uncommon’, not rare.

* It is antique? So many things described as antique are simply old, less than one hundred years to which the word antique really applies. So say ‘old’ or ‘vintage’, not ‘antique’, unless you’re sure of that 100 year rule.

* Was the item designed for heavy use, such as pots and pans, coins and banknotes, and unlikely to survive the decades intact? Was the item ephemeral, of limited shelf life, such as theatre tickets, newspapers, and typically used or given away in hours or days? If the item has survived decades, intact, it could be valuable, maybe very valuable.

* Does the item have ‘double appeal’? Might it attract bids from two or more different eBay categories and consequently multiple bids, such as a book on a popular theme, but a collectible author, with a famous previous owner. A plate I bought at the auction of Dame Catherine Cookson’s effects presented four collecting themes: as a plate in its own right (very popular collecting area), famous owner (well-known novelist), Ringtons design (advertising), area of manufacture (Newcastle-on-Tyne). Oh yes, it was also blue and white, another major collecting interest.

* Is the price too low for comfort? Is it a fake or reproduction? Broken? Even worse, stolen? Check items thoroughly, ask for proof of previous ownership, buy from reputable sellers only, avoid itinerant sellers at flea markets and boot sales unless they provide receipts and contact details. Most boot sale and flea market sellers are very genuine and a majority of organisers now provide written details of traders at the event. Stolen items belong to their original owner, not the innocent buyer.

Enhance Your Buying Power On eBay and Other Auctions

August 11th, 2007

There are two ways to buying on ebay or other auctions the easy way or the hard way! I prefer the easy way and leave the hard way alone altogether, as it is not required.

First of all you have to be a member of ebay or other auction so if you are not and would like to be a member then Visit my site at the URL in the Resources Box. Once you have become a member you can browse through the categories that you wish to by using the search box provided by ebay or other auctions.

It is fairly easy to use just type in what you are looking to buy e.g. Car then go to the right of the search bar and scroll through the categories list make your selection and then a new screen pops up with a page of the items for sale.

Browse through the lists or pages until you find what you are looking for and then click on the item that you like.
When inside the sellers description page you will find a description and other details of the item that is being sold and if the seller has more items for sale it usually says this at the bottom of the page.

It also tells you how many people have bid on the item and has a box for you to enter a bid. What you must never do is bid on the item until you have checked the seller out.

You check the buyer’s feedback by clicking on the seller’s feedback details usually in the box at the top right hand corner of the item description page. You must check this out. Normally you will see a figure in % like 100 %, 97.5 % or even less. This is the persons Feedback Score at that moment in time. You MUST NOT go by this Feedback Score

When you select Feedback you will see another page with several tabs and these tabs tell you whether the feedback is for selling or buying. You are not really interested in the sellers buying feedback you are only really interested in the sellers Selling Feedback. Click on that tab and read all of the comments to see what feedback has been given to this person as a seller.

This is what you really need to examine because the comments here should determine whether or not that you buy from this seller. Don’t take all the comments as gospel because what you also have to remember is that most people will put a positive feedback comment on because they do not wish to receive a negative comment in return.

A lot of the comments may be automated and you can tell these apart from the others because of the way the comments are displayed. Automated comments usually have all sorts of characters and patterns before and after the comment.

What you are looking for is the comments by people who are not themselves general sellers on ebay. These people also would not like negative comments returned to them if they had placed a negative comment about this seller. So how do you find out?

What you do is read as many comments as possible and after a while you can tell which ones were happy and which ones were not. For instance if someone puts a comment like this “As good as their word on refunds”. Can be interpreted as the person bought the product and it was not suitable but the seller gave the purchaser a Refund which in it self deserves a positive feedback comment because the seller refunded the buyer. (After all it is great when you get your money back if your not happy with the product or service).

The buyer should also get a positive feedback comment as the buyer bought the product or service in good faith and paid for it even though they got a refund.

On the other hand if someone leaves a positive comment such as, ” Delivery ok but would not buy again”, could be interpreted as “Delivery great but would not buy again because the product or service was not suitable or damaged or mis-described”.

This means that the seller could possibly be over describing the product or service or just plain mis-leading the potential buyers.

This is what you have to read all of the comments for and then analyze them carefully. Only do this to relevant buyer or seller comments depending on whether you’re buying or selling. It does not matter what you are doing Buying or Selling as long as you analyze the correct comments. e.g. Buyers comments from other sellers if your selling items, Sellers comments from other buyers if your buying items.

Once you have done all this work you still do Not want to buy yet. (What after all this work!) :o(

That’s right you still have a little more work to do. DoH!

What you must do now is go back into the items page and see if there are other similar items for sale and see what prices they are going for.

Having done this and done the same checks on other sellers if the items are of a similar price you can then make a more informed decision about buying the product or service.

This only leaves one more thing to do and that is to bid on the item. Do yourself a favour and do not bid on the item if it has days or several hours to go. The reason for this is simple bid early you then have an agonizing wait to see if you win or have to put in a higher bid.

If you wait until the last ten minutes or so of the auction ending for this item you will have a better idea of what the final price will be. If you’re quick (within the last couple of minutes or so) there is a very good chance that you will get the item that you want at the price you bid without having to raise your bid.

You only need to do this if there are several bidders on the item or service that you want to buy. If no one else has put a bid in then you should definitely get the item if you place your bid on it in the last few minutes.

Just a word of caution here though! there are a lot of people out there who wait until the final moments in order to place their bid in the hope of getting it cheap if no one else has put a bid in. So you may get pipped at the post. :o(

There is a name for this type of bidding and they even have programs for it. So that the professional ebayer can put bids on several items at once without even being on ebay at the time the auction ends for these items. This Technical term is called Sniping and if you wish to learn more just look up Sniping in Google or Chris may even have an article about sniping here at EzineArticles ;o)

Don’t forget to leave a positive comment about the item you have purchased if you are happy with it. Leave out the comment until you are satisfied with the item. If there are any problems with the item get in touch with the seller and give them a chance to sort out any problems.

Once the problems are sorted then you can leave a good positive feedback comment. That way everyone will be happy, don’t forget to ask for positive feedback for yourself. You may need it one day!.

If problems do not get sorted then notify ebay or whoever first to see if they can help, if they cannot then give the seller one last try. If you still have no joy then leave a carefully worded negative comment so that other ebayers know what you think of this seller.

But you will have to be prepared to receive negative feedback in return especially if the seller is fraudulent and or deceitful or even just spiteful!

Thankfully there are more good people than bad out there! Just be careful!

There you are and you thought buying on ebay or other auctions was simple! It is really, once you get the hang of it ;o) and it’s great when you get the bargain’s that you want at the price you want without getting fleeced.

Be Realistic When Selling on eBay

July 15th, 2007

As some of you know, I spent many years buying and selling both on and offline and several of my products are based upon my own experience in this area. I know that the vast majority of my customers and subscribers have an interest in trading whether it be on eBay or at the local market but more and more I am seeing people with completely unrealistic expectations of what they will be able to do. Most commonly these unrealistic expectations are in respect of how much it actually costs to purchase specific products and what they can then be sold on for.

I regularly get emails from people who want to know where they can purchase products such as mobile (cell) phones, new release DVDs, Playstation games and similar at, say, a 50% discount to resell on eBay. The fact is that such a thing is not available - it is a simple case of supply and demand and competition.

Take DVDs for example, most people think that these are excellent products to resell on eBay because they are very popular, not particularly expensive and easy to package and ship. Unfortunately, they could not be more wrong. The DVD market is one of the most competitive that there is - take a look for yourself and see how many auctions there are on eBay for DVDs at any one time. I have just looked and counted almost 300,000! At any one time there will only be a certain number of buyers wanting to purchase a particular DVD and if you take into account the numerous different places there are that each buyer could purchase from, it is likely that in general, there will be more copies of an individual DVD available than there are buyers to purchase them. This situation causes prices to fall. The other factor that forces prices down is the fact that one DVD is the same as another. By this I mean that from a buyers point of view, there is no difference to a new DVD purchased on eBay to one which is purchased from their local DVD store. Often the only way to differentiate is on price and of course, the only way to make the price more attractive to a buyer is to lower it.

The above reasons help to explain why the wholesale discount on a new release DVD is just £1 or £2 at most ($2 or $3 roughly in the US). When you take into account the fact that the large retail chains can purchase thousands of DVDs at a time and receive a bigger discount than individual traders, you soon see why it is very difficult for a small business to compete in such a competitive industry. You simply cannot purchase new release DVDs at 50% discount and even if you could, it wouldn’t be long before prices were forced down as there is always someone willing to sell a little bit cheaper than the next man.

It isn’t just DVDs that fall into this category. Take mobile (cell) phones. Here in the UK you can walk down just about any high street and get the latest phones either free or for a minimal token payment. The stores are relying on making their money from the line rental contract that you will have to sign in order to get the phone. Of course, the actual cost of the phone is not free - most new mobiles are actually worth £200 or £300 which means that if you want to buy a batch of phones at wholesale, you are going to be looking at a pretty high unit cost. As with most electrical products, the market is competitive and prices have been forced down which means that the difference between your wholesale buying price and your retail selling price is minimal.

There are numerous products that suffer from the same market conditions as DVDs and phones and new/small traders really should avoid trying to sell such items at all costs because it will usually be frustrating and ultimately not financially rewarding. When trying to decide what products to sell, you need to be thinking about the type of market that a particular product is sold in. If there are already numerous sellers and many large companies selling at considerable discounts this is far from ideal. The exception to the rule is if you are able to add value in some way to make your ‘offering’ more unique. I wrote about adding value last year in one of my newsletters - you can read it here: http://www.thetraderonline.com/jul2204.html

At the end of the day, it is all about research, being realistic and having an understanding of the market that you want to operate in. Whilst it would be great to be able to buy and sell new release DVDs (or whatever) all day long, doubling your money every time, I am afraid that this is just not going to happen.

Wholesale Convenience Store Items: How To Find The Best Wholesale Convenience Store Items Deals

July 12th, 2007

Wholesale convenience store items offers resellers high profit margins along with high volume sales, when done right.

Resellers, whether flea market vendors, eBay sellers, or dollar stores, will be faced with competition from online and offline retailers who can buy wholesale convenience store items at a lower price.

To outmaneuver this competition in the wholesale convenience store items business, resellers need to have a strategic plan in place.

Part one of their plan deals with finding the best sources for wholesale convenience store items at the lowest possible prices.
For this reason I would recommend resellers to stay away from drop shippers when looking for wholesale convenience store items.

Since the drop shipper is set up to offer his products to thousands of other resellers, you will not be able to compete based on price. All the resellers are paying the same price to the wholesale convenience store items drop shipper, so how can your prices be lower?

When looking to buy wholesale convenience store items you want to get as close to the source as possible.

Since you will not be able to buy brand name wholesale convenience store items for a lower price than major retailers can, you will want to look for lesser known wholesale convenience store items sellers.

For instance, ABC Convenience might not have the name recognition that Convenience Inc enjoys, but you can show customers that the quality is the same, and as long as your prices are lower some customers should buy the wholesale convenience store items manufactured by ABC Convenience.

When you contact these companies looking for wholesale convenience store items ask them for their overstock, overrun, and closeout deals. You would be surprised at the wholesale convenience store items deals you can find from small manufacturers that are looking to move merchandise out.

You can find great wholesale convenience store items deals but it will take some solid leg work.

4 Qualities Your Ebay Product Should Have

June 27th, 2007

1. Not everywhere: If there’s too many people selling the same or a very similar product on ebay you won’t make a good profit margin. You also risk a price war where sellers will bid down the price in order to get more sales, reducing their margins to compete, and ultimately loosing money.

2. Small and light: This works in two ways. It will cost you less to get the product from your wholesaler to you, increasing your margin. It will also cost your buyer less to get the product shipped to them making them more likely to purchase it.

3. Perceived value: If you can convince people that your product is worth more then it actually is your margins can be very high.

4. Expensive: Expensive items tend to have a higher profit margin available. However buying a significant quantity can be difficult, so cheap items with perceived value are also a good option. Remember selling 10 items for $5 profit is harder then selling 1 item for $50 profit. Selling less items will also keep shipping and ebay fees low.

In summery, the best item would be small, light, rare, and expensive, but where its perceived value is much greater then its actual value. Good Luck.
