An Ankle Bracelet for the Bride

October 18th, 2007

Almost every woman has an extensive collection of jewelry that
includes everything from earrings and necklaces to rings and
bracelets. These are, in fact, the more traditional pieces of
jewelry. But what many collections are lacking is an assortment
of foot jewelry, including ankle bracelets and toe rings, which
is becoming part of a growing trend. These small but stylish
pieces of jewelry are an eye-catching accessory that adds a
little extra sparkle to any outfit you wear.

With styles from simple and graceful to fun and funky, an ankle
bracelet will make a statement to the world that you are not
afraid to show your personality and to be yourself. And what
better way to show your true personality then on your own
wedding day. Add a touch of elegance or fun to your wedding
attire and let yourself sparkle with a glamorous ankle bracelet.

A Gift for the Bride

With the popularity of ankle bracelets on the rise, brides are
not about to be left out of the growing trend. In fact, more and
more brides are seen wearing ankle bracelets to complement their
bridal jewelry or their dress while also accentuating their
feet. Why should fingers and wrists have all the fun? Ankles are
just as stylish and are great for adorning jewelry that will add
an extra shimmer to your overall look. “Something old, something
new, something borrowed, something blue.” We all know this
famous wedding tradition that is believed to give the bride good
luck in her upcoming marriage. Keep this tradition of “something
new” or “something blue” alive on your wedding day with a
personalized ankle bracelet. You may also consider selecting a
special piece that can be placed in your keepsake box and passed
down to your daughter or daughter-in-law for their future
wedding day as well. An ankle bracelet will also make a great
gift for the bride-to-be. Increasingly more grooms are giving
their brides personalized ankle bracelets as a wedding gift on
their special day. This unique gift is a sure way to express a
shared love. What’s great about an ankle bracelet is that it is
not only something for the bride to wear on her wedding day, but
it is a piece of jewelry she can make apart of her daily
ensemble - it is suitable for any occasion, from casual to
formal. To add an extra touch of intimacy, consider
personalizing an ankle bracelet with both his and her
birthstones to represent the new union that is to be formed.

A Wedding on the Beach

If you’ve made the decision to begin your lives together as
husband and wife on a romantic setting such as a beach, your
wedding day attire will be an important detail. Wearing shoes on
the sand is next to impossible, not to mention completely
uncomfortable. What could be more perfect than the comfort of
going barefoot and still having your feet sparkle with
brilliance? A bridal ankle bracelet, decorated with diamonds or
white pearls, is the perfect compliment to your wedding day
attire. It will help complete your look as it draws attention to
your feet without overly emphasizing them and can help create a
nice balance when matched with a complementary bracelet,
necklace, or ring. Be sure to put your best foot forward and
leave a lasting impression on your special day.

On your wedding day, you are the truly the belle of the ball and
deserve to feel beautiful from head to toe. Accentuate your look
with a gorgeous ankle
bracelet that will make you sparkle and give your feet a
whole new look. Who says your cute, manicured feet can’t attract
a little attention and do some flirting of their own?

Keeping Good Care for Your Silver Bracelet

October 7th, 2007

A silver bracelet is an elegant piece
of jewelry that can be worn with almost anything at any
occasion. However, silver is exposed to elements everyday that
cause it to tarnish or to oxidize. The catalysts for tarnish
include many elements such as oxygen, sulfur, or even the salt
residue from your hands. There is some proper care and cleaning
that one must know to keep silver looking its best. Here are
some helpful tips to keep your silver bracelet looking
beautiful.

Preventing Tarnish

There are certain chemicals and products that can cause your
silver bracelet or other silver jewelry(i.e. a silver necklace or silver earrings) to tarnish that
should be avoided. Do not apply any sort of sun tan oil, hair
spray, hair color, perfume, rubber, and body lotions while
wearing your silver jewelry. These all contain chemicals that
can potentially cause your jewelry to tarnish. Always remove any
silver jewelry when working with chemicals such as bleach,
ammonia, alcohol, finger nail polish removers with acetone, and
turpentine. Also the acids in tape, cardboard, and newspaper can
be harmful to your silver bracelet. Avoid contact with wool and
felt (these materials contain sulfur that can cause the silver
to oxidize) and do not shower with your silver bracelet on. Keep
away from these things to also avoid potential tarnish of your
sliver bracelet.

Cleaning

You should clean your silver bracelet regularly to remove
tarnish. When cleaning, do not use any materials that are too
abrasive and that will scratch the material. Never use a
toothbrush, no matter how soft the bristles are suppose to be.
Instead, clean your silver bracelet with a soft, cotton,
lint-free cloth. Also, wear plastic gloves instead of rubber
gloves since the rubber can possibly cause the silver to
tarnish.

With your soft cloth and plastic gloves you are ready to begin
cleaning your silver bracelet. To begin, remove any dust or
debris that could possibly scratch the item. Next, rinse the
bracelet with warm water and mild soap (avoid scented soaps) and
pat dry. The bracelet is now ready to be polished. Many polishes
are available in different forms (i.e. pastes, liquids, and
foams). My recommendation would be to use a polish that gives a
wax-like finish; this creates a barrier for future tarnish. No
matter what you use, be sure to remove all the polish from your
jewelry. To finish, rinse in warm water (do not soak) and pat
dry.

General Care and Storage

When you are not wearing your silver bracelet, you should always
store it in a place that is airtight to avoid oxidization. Do
not store jewelry in cardboard boxes or tissue paper. The
chemicals from these materials will cause more harm than good.
The best way to store your silver bracelet is by placing it in
an airtight cabinet or drawer along with anti-tarnishing strips.
There are also special silver cloths that can be purchased to
wrap your jewelry in for storage. It is best to keep them
jewelry pieces separate in order to avoid possible scratching.
Remember, one of the best ways to keep you silver bracelet
looking good is to wear it! Your body oils act as a shield for
many of the catalysts for tarnish.

If you keep good care of your silver bracelet in its cleaning,
storage and general care of it, you will be able to wear it for
years to come. Just remember to keep it away from harmful
chemicals, keep up with cleaning it, and to store it properly.
It is important to take care of your jewelry so that it may
remain beautiful every time you wear it.

How to Find Sustain and Share Happiness

September 29th, 2007

Happiness- you can’t beg for it or buy it or even barter for it.
You can however create it and better yet sustain it. If you want
to be happier long-term make creating and sustaining happiness a
priority and apply the following happiness sustaining
principals.

Choose it The old adage, “people are about as happy as they make
up their minds to be” is true. Choose to live a life of
happiness. When you are not ask yourself why and begin to
irradiate your happiness block.

Be present now At any moment all we have is that moment. Putting
our attention on the past and the future makes it impossible for
us to fully experience this moment right now. One way to remind
yourself to be present is to take a deep breath any time you
notice you are worrying about the future or experiencing regret
about the past. Yesterday is your history, the future is a
mystery. This moment is life’s true present to you.

Make your relationships matter Your deepest, richest, most
profound happiness in life will come from Your relationships:
the people you love, the people your meet who touch you and the
people who’s lives you reach out to touch. The place where we
often make mistakes is we focus on the results we want rather
than the relationships that enrich our life. Put your
relationships first and the results you are pursuing second and
happiness will rarely elude you.

Acknowledge others often Adding acknowledgement to a
relationship recipe always makes it better. When we express our
appreciation to others we are telling them that they matter to
us and we are grateful for their contribution to our lives.
Every one can take in much more acknowledgement than they are
receiving now. Acknowledge someone you love for sharing their
feelings with you, tell your long time friends how much they
mean to you and acknowledge your partner for all the little
things. When you acknowledge others you are also acknowledging
to yourself how good your life is, that sustains your happiness.

Practice approval Part of what makes us unhappy is we do things
we do not want to be doing. Going to a baby shower for someone
your barely know, driving two hours to get there and the whole
time wishing you were somewhere else. If you are doing things
because of a sense of obligation or societal, family, or
community pressure you will be unhappy.

Decide that you are going to approve of whatever you do. If you
do something you have to approve of you doing it. From now on
instead of asking yourself “should I do this?” Ask yourself- “Do
I approve of me doing this?” Whatever you do make sure it is OK
with you.

Communicate your truth harmlessly Fundamental to your happiness
is being truthful about who you are, what you want, how you feel
and every aspect of your life. What is important to recognize is
that we have to develop the ability to say what we want to say
without blaming, shaming or making anybody else wrong. When you
are concerned with being right or placing blame, you are making
someone else wrong and that creates distance rather than
intimacy in your relationships.

Take responsibility for your thoughts and feelings and
communicate in a way that makes other people feel that they to
can speak their truth. This way all your relationships will be
more authentic and therefore fulfilling.

Ask for what you want Do not wait for people to make you sweet
offers, do not fall into the trap of assuming people should know
what you want. Ask for what you want every time you want
something and you will get more of what you want more of the
time.

Release judgement You deserve to live the life you want to live.
That and fulfilling relationships is what brings true happiness.
Allow other people the ability to live the life they choose
without your judgement and criticism. You can only control your
life, putting your attention on how other people ought to live
their lives will cause you nothing but disappointment and
frustration.

Don’t worry about what other people think One way to stop
judging others is to stop thinking about what other people think
of you. Trying to live up to other people’s expectations is
hard, never ending work. This is your life. You are the only one
who has to approve of how you live it.

Happiness is less elusive than you might think. It is also
contagious. One way to be happy is to be with happy people.
Share this information with your happy friends and you can all
support each other in enjoying long-term happiness.

Menopause Help For Menopause Signs Symptoms

September 26th, 2007

Menopause help is possible for menopause signs symptoms when you
understand the main underlying causes for symptoms of menopause.
Menopause help IS available online since millions of women
experience menopause signs symptoms each year.

First, here are the most common symptoms of menopause:

* Anxiety and depression * Endometriosis * Fibroid tumors *
Foggy, fuzzy thinking and memory lapses * Hot flashes and night
sweats * Inability to handle stress * Irregular menstrual cycles
* Light or heavy menstrual flow * Lumpy or tender breasts * Mood
swings * PMS * Sleep problems * Vaginal dryness * Water
retention and bloating * Weight gain

To obtain menopause help for menopause signs symptoms,
understand female hormones, the menstrual cycle and how hormone
imbalance happens. In a healthy menstruating woman, estrogen is
the main hormone produced for the first 10-12 days following the
previous menstrual flow. Ovulation then signals the female body
to produce progesterone, which occurs for the next 12 or so
days. Progesterone and estrogen levels will drop at around day
28 if there’s no pregnancy, and menstruation begins.

However, if there is no ovulation, progesterone cannot be
produced that month. This is called an ‘annovulatory cycle’ and
is a typical occurance today for women in their 30’s and 40’s.
Without ovulation and progesterone production, the woman then
has an excess of estrogen, a deficiency of progesterone and
definitely needs menopause help.

And once ovulation no longer happens at menopause and after,
progesterone levels fall to virtually zero. At the same time,
estrogen is still being produced, leading to hormone imbalance,
menopause signs symptoms and the need for menopause help. If the
woman has had a hysterectomy, surgical menopause means the woman
no longer produces progesterone. Besides the problems created by
missed ovulations or hysterectomy, excess estrogen is also
obtained from other sources such as birth control pills,
household chemicals and pesticides, foods that have been sprayed
and construction materials used in homes.

Physicians refer to the hormone imbalance condition of excess
estrogen in the body as “estrogen dominance”. Symptoms of
estrogen dominance include low sex drive, bloating and weight
gain, headaches, mood swings, irregular periods and excessive
menstrual bleeding. If unopposed estrogen in the female adult
increases beyond what is desirable and healthy, you will
definitely experience menopause signs symptoms. On the other
hand, when your hormones are balanced, you will no longer need
menopause help since you feel alert, energetic and ready to take
on the challenges of everyday life. How can a woman tell if the
menopause signs symptoms being experienced are because of
hormone imbalance? An easy way is to take the online test
provided by a leading womens health clinic for menopause signs
symptoms. It takes just a few minutes and is free. Learn more
about your health, premenopause and menopause symptoms, what the
symptoms are telling you and what to do about it based on your
answers to important questions. Read more about menopause help,

Careful What You Wish For

September 25th, 2007

I have always been fascinated by the concept of “wishing.”,
especially “collective wishing.” If enough people wish for the
same thing, does it make it happen? For instance, humans
probably always wished that they could talk to each other
without having to “go there” physically. Perhaps the invention
of the telephone was actually the result of a long-standing
collective wish from days of the caveman. From the long lensed
perspective of human history, the telephone, which literally
manifests far away voices into thin air, truly is a magical
object.

There are two very interesting best-selling books available
about the subject of wishing. One of them is “Be Careful What
You Pray For … You Just Might Get It’ by Larry Dossey and the
other is “Wishing Well” by Paul Pearsall, Ph.d.. Both deal with
the subject of manifestation.

Wishing Well is more of a how-to book that explains the proper
way to wish. The authour talksabout such basics as “not wishing
too hard”, “not making selfish wishes” and “wishing for the
essence of a thing, rather than the thingitself.”This is white
witchcraft 101 whitewashed with New Age sensibilities; Harry
Potter for adults.

Making a negative wish can function like a curse. Pearson says
that much of the crap brought upon us in this civilization is
the result of collective negative wishing. This got me to
thinking about John F. Kennedy Juniour’s plane crash a few years
ago. For generations now, people have been aware if the
so-called Kennedy curse. Was it the mass belief in this curse, a
form of negative wishing in itself, that finally brought down
JFK’s plane? Is it something that we all, subconsciously,
thought should happen?

According to both authours, wishes are strengthened when they
are the result of a group desire and good intentions. However,
when a group begins to wish negatively, from a place of hatred,
jealousy or desire, then the wish usually manifests the opposite
effect. I remember as a little kid, being more than well aware
of the power of this kind of wishing. I use to wish for the
opposite of what I wanted or wish the same thing for another
(for example: “I wish my little sister would get an ice cream
cone” and then I would end up with what I wanted in the first
place.

I think I subconsciously knew that a selfish wish would get me
the opposite. I might even be taunted by the sight of other
children eating ice cream cones Another principle of wishing is
“wishing overkill.” Wishes come true if they are more likea
little nudge –done in a simple way, without anxiety and done
from theheart. A well-done wish is comparable to the flapping of
the butterflywings in Brazil causing a tornado in Florida.
Apparently if you gently nudge the universe with yourthoughts,
you’re in luck. You have to be part of the universal state
ofharmony. If you interrupt this balance with an explosion of
will, determinism, selfishness and passion, then you often
experience a lashback and see the opposite come into effect.
This is similar to witchcraft’s 3X3X3 rule: whatever you send
out comes back to you. It also explains why disasters seem to
escalate and the persistence of Murphy’s Law.

Another important principle, brought up by both authours is the
principle of “like attracts like”. If you are in a state of
anxiety and wishing for “more serenity”, you are more than
likely to find your self surrounded by anxious people who are
also wishing for serenity or in a state of even more anxiety.
Stating that you lack something actually reinforces its lack.
Combine this with the principle of resonance, where a wish in
reinforced by the number of people thinking the same thing, than
it really makes you start thinking that group negative wishing
is actually responsible for many of the ills in the world.

The next time you make a wish, wish well. Wish for the best
thing to happen for all concerned and don’t be attached to the
outcome. When you wish upon a star, it DOES make a difference
who you are …

Finally, I am Queen of My Domain!

Don’t Let Premature Ejaculation Hurt Your Love Life

September 21st, 2007

Premature Ejaculation is problem that affects millions of men around the world; and most of them are afraid of looking for help and even think there is no such help for their condition. But nothing is more distant from the truth. After helping over 856 men who often had wasted hundreds or even thousands of dollars on useless premature ejaculation methods the method developed by Christian Gudnason (http://www.askingplanet.com) has come to show that indeed there is a cure for PE condition.

Maybe you have tried other methods or tricks that you may even felt close to humiliating resources; as having to apply your self with dangerous desensitize creams, useless medicine or endless scam methods that never worked.

But the truth is that making passionate love with your partner for as long as you desire is way easier than you ever thought. Any man can cure and leave premature ejaculation in the past no matter how bad his condition may be.

Once you are introduced to C. Gudnason’s method you will understand the development and content of his broadly proved and recommended method to cure premature ejaculation. Again this method has helped hundreds of men to gain their desired lasting power, even men that ejaculated by only feeling the pubic hair and that for years had barely been able to get inside his wives. If even extreme cases like these have been cured you can be confident that this method, no matter how bad you think your condition is, will surely help you to overcome your premature ejaculation problems in a short time and respecting your privacy.

You will essentially learn three things:

- Gain total control over your ejaculation

- Make passionate love for hours on end

- Give your partner the orgasm of a life time.

So you won’t only overcome your PE condition but will surely become a dream lover for your partner. Your whole love life will change for the better.

A Guide to the Testosterone Level Test

September 17th, 2007

A testosterone level test is helpful in measuring total levels of testosterone produced by the body. Testosterone saliva testing only measures total testosterone. If the reason for testing has to do with patient symptoms similar to those experienced during andropause, measurements of total testosterone are not always helpful.

A patient’s testosterone level test results may be within normal ranges for total testosterone, while the level of “free” or bio-available testosterone may be lower than normal.

In order to measure “free” or bio-available testosterone levels, a blood test must be used. Athletes can use testosterone saliva testing when attempting to measure the effects of working out or supplement use with some degree of accuracy, but even then, the results may be inconclusive.

In other words, a testosterone level test may show normal levels of testosterone and the man may still feel the symptoms (fatigue, weakness, etc.) of a testosterone deficiency.

This is all caused by sex hormone binding globulin or SHBG. It is known that when testosterone becomes attached to SHBG, it cannot enter the cell and therefore cannot affect the body.

A testosterone level test, like testosterone saliva testing, that measures only total testosterone and not the amount attached to SHBG is not measuring “free” testosterone and it is only “free” testosterone that can increase stamina, muscle gain and libido.

Some on-line companies are now selling in-home hormone level tests for men and women. These are saliva tests and can indicate hormonal imbalances.

Testosterone saliva testing does not tell the whole story and they cost about $60.

Truth Behind A Pregnant Woman’s Food Craving and How to Control It

September 11th, 2007

Cravings are feelings desiring food combinations which women
either do not normally eat or may even stomach under usual
eating conditions. In a survey conducted recently, expectant
mothers usually crave for “something sweet” like an ice cream
(40%), most often called the “middle-of-the-night” urges. Coming
in second is the salty snacks (33%). They also go for spicy
foods (17%) and lastly, the lip-puckering sour foods like tarts
and citrus fruits (10%).

While no scientific explanations could be given, some reasons
offered by physicians include:

* strong hormonal changes; * deficiency of nutrients; * a
conscious or subconscious response to emotion; * food with
special meaning, religion and cultural reasons; * maybe
nutritionally based; and, * expectations about getting cravings.

On the other hand, food aversion is the opposite of cravings.
These are the most hated foods by the expectant mother. Reports
state that red meat is the most common aversion of would be
mothers.

Expectant mothers need all the nutrients in the right amount to
stay healthy and to help their babies develop and grow normally.
Cravings may help would-be moms achieve this by desiring
nutritious food over those with excessive calories which they
sometimes fill their bodies with. Most pregnant women also have
a strong yearning for chocolates that stimulates the release of
“feel good” brain chemicals in the body. This sometimes helps
pregnant women to feel better and manage their moods even for
only a short period of time.

Most popular cravings are: apples, melon, cheese, eggs, milk,
olives and pickles, peanut butter and nuts

Experts break down the food cravings of women into trimesters
during the pregnancy:

First Trimester - a strong bitter taste; this may be a signal of
the body that warns the expectant mother of the presence of high
toxic substances in plants and fruits.

Second and Third Trimesters - a craving for sour tasting foods
like pickles (this helps women to get a varied diet later on in
her pregnancy); urges for sweet and sour foods make fruits a
popular craving for pregnant women.

As the pregnancy progresses - an increased preference for salty
foods like potato chips; as the blood volume increases in the
body of a pregnant woman her need for sodium also intensifies.

Other Cravings

Unusual cravings are called the “pica” phenomenon. These are
cravings for inedible substances such as dirt, chalk, laundry
powder and coal, etc. Pica is the Latin name for Magpie, a bird
that eats almost anything.

Pica is said to be a sign of an underlying physical or mental
illness. If you develop a craving like this, resist it and award
yourself with an ice cream, a bar of chocolate or a piece of
cake. Remind yourself that the craving will pass and not to
stress yourself about it. You shall not give in because this
would mean mental problems for the child, impaired hearing and
low motor skills development.

Healthier Options

During pregnancy, there’s no harm in giving in to food urges
but, just don’t make it a habit that will endanger you and your
child.

Here are some healthy fixes that you can substitute your sinful
cravings with:

Ice cream - opt for a nice cold fruit smoothie, non-fat frozen
yogurt, sherbet/sorbet or popsicle;

Cola/Soda - flavored seltzer, mineral water with fruit juice or
lime juice;

Doughnuts and pastries - whole-grain bagels or toasted bread
with jam;

Potato chips - low-fat or baked chips, pretzels or light
microwave popcorn;

Chocolate - have a few squares only, chocolate milk, fat-free
hot cocoa or make some trial mix with a small handful of
chocolate chips, dried fruits and nuts; and,

Cakes and cookies - low-fat banana-nut or zucchini bread or try
an Angel food cake topped with fresh strawberries, Graham
crackers with a little peanut butter.

Suggestions to control your cravings:

Cravings lose their intensity while the pregnancy progresses.
But here are some ways to help you manage your food yearnings:

1. Eat breakfast everyday to lessen the intensity of your
cravings.

2. Understand your cravings to help find healthier substitutes
for your food urges. Try to take time breaking your cravings
down: What are you longing for: something cold, smooth, creamy,
and sweet? This will aid you in identifying more nutritional
substitutes.

3. Keep a food diary and review whether you’re eating a balanced
diet or not.

4. Work out to help you curb hunger.

5. Have lots of emotional support from loved ones.

6. Think small in terms of the amount of intake.

7. Always consult your doctor.

While pregnant, keep in mind that this is no time for dieting
but a time to experiment with foods and make eating fun as it
should be. Have assortment in your foods, balance your diet
well, and make eating fun, not weird.

Does Shaving Your Bikini Lines Drive You Bonkers?

September 7th, 2007

Considering the daring styles of swimwear many people, both male and female, are wearing today, no doubt keeping bikini lines in check is an important issue.

Even for those of us who don’t wear the more daring styles, making sure pubic hairs are not public hairs is a concern when getting ready for the pool or beach.

It’s not a simple matter of tucking your pubic hairs inside the legs of your suit, because they’re bound to escape. So it becomes a question of how best to remove the hairs at the bikini lines all together.

While many people may elect to use a depilatory lotion/cream or do a bikini wax at home or at a salon, shaving bikini lines is still the method most often used.

Now you may be thinking that the reason some people choose depilatories or waxing over shaving their bikini lines is because these alternative methods to shaving don’t irritate this sensitive skin. Truth is - That’s not the truth. At least not for most people.

If you speak with people who use a depilatory, (and they’re honest), they’ll tell you:

1) They’re messy

2) They smell pretty bad

3) They’re inconvenient - Because you have to wait for them to work, you have to be somewhere to be able to wash them off and they don’t always completely work, leaving you with patches of hair

And, most importantly -

4) The harsh chemicals more often than not leave your skin looking red and feeling raw, as if it’s just been burned, which basically it has …

And if you speak with people who choose waxing, (and they’re honest), they’ll tell you:

1) It’s messy

2) It smells pretty bad

3) It’s inconvenient - Because you have to wait for it to work, you have to be somewhere to be able to wash off the residue, it doesn’t always completely work with the first application so you have to do it again, and oh yes - IT HURTS! Even if you have it done at a salon, all of the above applies

And, most importantly -

4) The harsh chemicals more often than not leave your skin looking red and feeling raw, as if every hair has just been yanked out, which basically they have …

So - We’re back to shaving bikini lines.

The bad news is that most people who are shaving their bikini lines basically just grab a wet razor and have at it. So it’s no wonder that their skin looks red and feels raw, as if it’s just been scraped, which basically it has …

And even worse - Because bikini lines are areas that maintain a good deal of moisture and receive a great deal of friction, ingrown hairs become a major problem.

The good news is, anyone can learn that there’s a right way of shaving pubic hairs from the bikini lines and, perhaps even more important, that there is a much better tool than a wet razor for shaving this sensitive area.

Shaving your bikini lines doesn’t have to drive you bonkers!

All you need to do now is your own research about how to safely shave your bikini lines along with using a shaving device that’s better designed for bikini lines.
